Chapter 7:
SIGMAMAN: Cheating Another World with My $50 AI Girlfriend
Why is someone interested in a tentacle AV?
A thought sparked in Takuto’s mind.
A space inside the cave shone quite bright, but the light was blue as the hexagonal, jumbled Mana stones scattered on its edges. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” Laurel remarked.
Takuto saw a large, bluish lizard curl its body and close its eyes. The lizard didn’t have wings like a dragon. But instead of wings, worm-like limbs attached to its back. The limbs wiggled and wobbled like they had a party.
“Do you feel disgusted seeing those wiggly things, Miss Beaumont?” Takuto asked when he pointed at the tentacles.
“‘Laurel’ is fine, Takuto Higashi,” she said, “And no, they don’t seem like penises.”
“Penis!” Lopopo jumped excitedly. “My dad!” and she exclaimed.
Soave just giggled.
The Tentacle Dragon was having a dream on a stage, surrounded by lighting tools and sound equipment as if it were a sleeping idol. Takuto noticed that two entrances guarded the stage, and he murmured as he remembered the dragon’s minions would be spawned from there.
“Does your party need a long-range damage dealer because sometimes it’s bothersome to handle minions and go back and forth?”
“Correct. And sometimes I can’t approach the boss frequently, so I can’t have those sweats, and at the same time convert my passionate energy to Mana.”
This woman now sounds sus.
“His physical defense is high, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, his scales are thick. My knives can’t penetrate them without buffs from magic skills or some active magic skills.”
“So his magic defense is low, but his minions are on the flip side,” said Takuto, confirming his in-game knowledge against his new reality. Now, I just need to check if another-world person like me can learn a Skill Taint.
“Correct!” Lopopo jumped and raised her arm, answering Takuto’s instead of Laurel. You aren’t supposed to be smart, Lopopo. But I guess that’s just your facade.
“Well, I already know, but I’m just verifying the information I have.”
“My, it seems you really have a good network of intelligence. Mind sharing your information guild?”
“They all have died.”
“A, HAHAHAHA.”
It was rare to see Laurel laugh freely. So it seemed Takuto had scored some points. Nice. Then Laurel took a step forward. She said, “So, are we ready to annoy the Sleeping Prince over there?”
“Ay!” Lopopo leaped forward, throwing a Rakerake at the head of the dragon. The Rakerake screamed as it bounced off the forehead, and it made the dragon slowly reveal his blue eyes.
Isn’t taunting the job of a tank? What the hell is she doing??
"IDOL CHARM! PIERCE ME!!!” Suddenly, Soave shouted as if he were another person. He gritted his teeth and slammed his large rectangular shield to the ground, marking his defensive territory and lighting it blue.
Laurel crouched, holding two knives as she smiled.
Lopopo, on the other hand, grabbed her wooden scepter and held it as if it were a lyre or modern guitar. Then she began to hum, enjoying herself, and being ignorant of anything else. Plucking nonexistent strings around the rod, Lopopo cast some magic buff skills in sequences. Then, everyone’s body was lit up. Red for boosting Soave’s vitality, green for increasing Laurel’s speed, and blue for improving everyone’s Mana. But the buff was useless for Takuto, as he still didn’t feel any flow within his body. But I appreciate the effort, Lopopo. And Lopopo buffed Laurel a couple of times more.
“Show me first what you are capable of, Takuto Higashi.”
The dragon raised its neck, roaring, “ROARRRRRR!!!” like it was mad. Then it looked down at Takuto’s party with a cute, smug expression, revealing its dimming blue belly. And then its minions started to join the fight.
Strangely, the minions weren’t little dragon folks or anything lizard-like. They were octopus-like creatures that walked on the ground with their tentacles. And they had a smiling face. And for whatever reason, they raised their two tentacles and made the tentacles wiggly.
“Look at the back dancers, Takuto. Aren’t they cute?” GG remarked. “I guess they are going to say, ‘UWOOO—’”
Cute my ass. And stop making a meme, GG.
Takuto, calmly and casually, raised the handgun. He put his other hand inside his pocket. And he began to focus, taking a steady pose.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
One down. Two down. When he had shot ten bullets, he pushed the gun’s button, swiftly switched the gun magazine with the one in his bag, and took another pose before he pressed another button and fired.
All of his shots pierced the minions’ heads, and this impressed his party members.
“Oh? Is this your Skill Tint? An accurate aim?” Laurel asked, as she smiled wider and glanced at him.
“Yeah, you can say that,” Takuto answered as he took a step aside. But no. Nu uh! I stepped aside, but nothing happened. So the Skill Tint I had in mind, Deja vu, didn’t work. I guess I can’t copy a SkyKnight’s or anyone’s Skill Tint. It’s really suck to be ordinary!
GG commented, “So you thought you could use Deja vu because your habit is gooning. Really. Really? Takuto.”
“Shut up, GG.”
Laurel glanced at him again, looking confused. “I guess sometimes you talk to yourself. We are all eccentric. A, hahahaha.”
“Well, you might not hear GG because of the dang loud music over there. The ground is even shaking!”
“I see.” She lowered her body more. And Laurel said, “I’ll leave the minions to you, Takuto. Let me humor the boss.”
In the blink of an eye, Laurel was in midair near the dragon’s head. “Knife Onslaught,” she murmured. And she made a sky dive, grazing its neck, slicing its front legs, and striking its body. She grazed the dragon’s body everywhere as she disappeared and reappeared with the help of her Skill Tint, Super Speed.
What a thick scale. Laurel’s attacks only left cat scratches.
But unlike his expectation, the dragon roared louder as Laurel smirked. Poisonous Knife. So that’s her strategy. Grazing enough of its scales so the poison can seep in and kill the dragon slowly, since physical skills are kind of useless against its high physical defense, unless her physical penetration is high.
“I thought she would imbue magic on her knife,” GG reacted.
“I thought so, but maybe Laurel hasn’t learned the skills.”
“This is going to be a battle of endurance, isn’t it? Are we going to be fine?” GG looked worried.
“Probably.”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
“Uwooo! You have nice shots!” Lopopo said, eating a Rakerake right beside him.
“Wait, what are you doing here?? Are you not going to buff Soave at least?”
“Nyam, nyam. I’m hungry.”
Look, bitch. This isn’t the time for taking leisure!
“LOOK AT ME!!!” Soave shouted and shouted again with an angry, cute face. But the dragon started to look at Laurel with bulging eyes. The dragon is now REALLY mad.
“Tch.” Realizing the situation, Laurel jumped back and appeared right before Lopopo. “Lopopo, my dearest, back to your post.”
“But I’m still hungry. Listen to my growling belly.”
“Oh my, don’t blame me.” After Laurel left a remark, she vanished right before the dragon’s big tentacle grasped her. So now the tentacle grabbed Lopopo instead and made her cry, “Eh, KYA!”
Laurel is mad. Laurel is now the mad one!
“KYAAAAAa! HELp MEEEEEEEE!” The tentacle wrapped Lopopo’s body tightly, so Takuto could only see the upper part of Lopopo's body and her extended arms, as the dragon dragged her into midair. He had no intention to help her because he thought, well, she kind of deserved it.
“Friend!” But Soave looked panicked. He crouched and bent his arms. Then he shouted, “URAAAAAAAAAA! IDOL CRAZE!” Burning himself, he kept drawing attention to himself. But alas, the dragon began to move its tentacles toward Lopopo, slowly and cautiously.
Oh, shhit. Here we go.
First, one tentacle pulled gently on Lopopo’s red collar ribbon, so it revealed her bare skin. Then the tentacle caressed her neck—and her cheek, gently. “Ahhh…” she moaned, for some reason. Yet another tentacle began to tickle her tongue—and explored further. Her Lolita hat dropped. Her shoes were stripped. And now her feet were tickled too. Two tentacles then approached her thighs. One was busy tearing her stockings. Another was occupied with stimulating things.
“FRIEND!!!” Soave, desperately, cast more skills to raise his aggro. But it didn’t seem to work. Laurel, crossing her arms, glanced at Takuto and asked, “Do you know how octopuses mate?”
“I know. And it’s tragic. Be grateful that you are a human, although we don’t have extra limbs.”
Twirling her knife, she added, “Do I need to help her now?”
“Nah, let’s enjoy it a bit more. There must be a reason why a tentacle AV is marketable.”
"AV?"
"Don't mind it". And I hope you aren’t sacrificing Lopopo.
Then GG responded, “Wait, why does that tentacle have something sticky on its peak spot?”
“Shut up, GG.”
“W-why are you guys doing nothing??!” Soave complained, sweating, and this finally made Laurel take action.
She sighed. But she crouched again, preparing to attack the Tentacle Dragon. “Can you shoot its eye? Let’s mess up the aggro.”
“Got it.”
Bang!
“ROAARRR!!!”
The Tentacle Dragon released Lopopo, and as Lopopo was falling, Laurel quickly moved to catch her and threw her at Soave.
Lopopo, then, hit Soave’s shield, falling and rotating her head. “HAWAWAWAWAWA. What is… happening?”
“You should quickly boost Soave’s taunt, Miss Elf.”
“On it!”
Thus, Lopopo dashed toward her staff. Dash! She took it and twirled it. Then she began to hum again.
Damn it. This is going to take forever. But I don’t have infinite ammo.
What should I do?
“CAN WE DEFEAT HIM?” Takuto screamed as he shot some minions in turn.
Hearing Takuto, Laurel halted her successive attacks. She had an intense gaze for a while. “We can,” she said, “But I guess you don’t want to waste your ammunition.” She spoke again, “In that case, watch my back, Takuto Higashi.”
With her knives, Laurel slowly drew a circle, encircling her face. Then she slowly moved the handles of her knives toward each other until they met. “Assassin Strike: Autumn,” she murmured.
“Eh?” Taking the hint, Lopopo hastily shouted, “DOUBLE PENETRATION!”
The temperature around Laurel dropped. It was magical. And the blades of her knives changed their colors and glowed—the glow was pink. Laurel widened her smile, and shortly after, she vanished.
One could see the traces of her knives. The pink straight lines that crossed each other, slicing the Tentacle Dragon a hundred times. And after a while, Laurel’s back faced the dragon. She now slowly made another circle, but backward. As she was done with the circle, she curled up her lips and looked relieved. “The poison, combined with this high damage skill, will surely hit him hard. Don’t you think so, Takuto Higashi?”
Assassin Strike: Autumn, huh. That skill made a time leap and returned to its original time, repeatedly. So, no wonder it has high damage. Not to mention the hidden status effect it has: Decay. It’s more deadly than poison but takes much longer and can only be activated when the target has been poisoned.
The Tentacle Dragon swung its body to the side. Its body smashed the ground first, before its head plunged into the cave wall, making a loud rumbling noise that gradually faded out.
Its blue blood was splattered everywhere, making the cave and everyone wet. And at the same time, the minions fell like autumn leaves, signaling the end of the boss fight.
That's it?
