Chapter 94:

Episode 94 - The Day We Quietly Leave Sunrise Global Trading

My Telekinetic Office Lady Girlfriend Is Way Too Powerful!

【Mission Failed: The Wall to Becoming President (What Hormone Manipulation Can’t Move)】

Afternoon in the office.

Shota was basking in a sunny spot by the window, munching on a bite-sized piece of chocolate.

“Mmm~~ yep, white chocolate is justice…”

Outside the window, the season was shifting, summer drawing near. The days were growing longer, and this year the sound of cicadas had begun again. He’d finished his emails — all that was left was to wait for quitting time… or so he thought.

“Shota-kun.”

From behind came a soft call in a completely businesslike voice.

He turned to see Ryoko standing there in a suit, holding three thick files.

Her sunglasses were gone, replaced by black-rimmed glasses.

“These are the company’s articles of incorporation, the shareholder structure documents, and—the manual for appointing and dismissing directors♡

“…I think I heard a pretty dangerous word mixed in there?”

Shota swiveled his chair to face her.

Beside him, Ryoko opened the files and began marking important sections with a highlighter as she spoke evenly.

“Right now, the mood inside the company is ‘Next President = Shota-kun.’ My hormone manipulation has already reached half the board…”

“So if we just complete the paperwork, Shota-kun, you could become president right away—”

“R-Really…? (detached tone) Then… why not just file it immediately…?”

Ryoko fell silent for a moment, then slid a single sheet in front of him.

“—That was the plan. But this one sentence is stopping everything.”

》》》‘The appointment of a new Representative Director shall require the approval of the current Representative Director.’

“…So basically, unless the current president says ‘OK,’ I can’t become president?”

“That’s right. And President Sakurai hasn’t shown himself once in the past week.”

Shota looked up.

“…You mean he’s hiding?”

Ryoko’s voice lowered.

“He’s sensed that we’ve started moving, and he’s hiding from me. He’s holed up in a sealed room, blocking out all sight, sound, and scent, so my hormone manipulation can’t reach him. Back when he tried to use you as a honey-trap operative (see Episode 39), I gave him a serious ‘adjustment.’ That’s now his trauma.”

A chill ran down Shota’s spine. Not at the president’s defensive measures—

—but at the fact that even Ryoko at full power hadn’t been able to break through.

“…For someone as perfect as you, Senpai, to be completely blocked…”

“It works on people. But on systems… it doesn’t. And the Sonokata-shiro matter is one of President Sakurai’s pet projects. Unless we deal with him, Sunrise Global Trading won’t stop…”

Silently, Shota crumpled the chocolate wrapper in his hand.

From the side, her profile looked… just a little frustrated. Then Shota spoke quietly.

“Then… let’s go break that system itself.

Ryoko’s eyes widened.

“…Shota-kun?”

Shota grinned. He had no intention of running anymore.

“Let’s quit this company and buy Sunrise Global Trading from the outside. The two of us — let’s go steal the title of ‘President.’”

Ryoko’s eyes began to glow red.

And then, she smiled softly.

“…Fufu♡ You really are the man I fell for♡”

【Final Mission as Employees: The Day We Quietly Leave Sunrise Global Trading】

The HR department was quieter than usual that morning.

Employees kept their eyes on their documents, but there was a restless, fidgety tension in the air.

Among them were two figures. Shota in a black suit, and Ryoko, also in a black suit, her hair softly tied back. Just like any other day at the office.

Except today, they weren’t here to “work” — they were here to “say goodbye.”

“…Very well, I’ll accept these.”

The quiet voice belonged to Iwasawa, Director of HR. On the desk before him sat two envelopes — plain white, each addressed in careful handwritten characters.

Resignation Letter – Ryoko Takahashi
Resignation Letter – Shota Sasaki

Director Iwasawa lowered his gaze for just a moment, then bowed deeply and slowly.

"Without my liege and her chosen consort, these lands shall know a grievous emptiness."

"Yet… I pray your journey be crowned with triumph… Ugh… My liege, I was prepared to ride at your side until the end of my days…!"😭

Overcome with sadness, Iwasawa began to cry…

Shota stood straight, watching Iwasawa break down in tears. But when he saw Ryoko bow her head slightly, he almost lost his posture and hurried to bow alongside her.

Leaning toward her, he whispered,

“Uh… were we supposed to bow just now?”

Without looking at him, Ryoko’s lips curved into a faint smile.

“Of course. You’re my consort, after all♡”

Shota straightened again, trying not to sigh too loudly.

“…Right. Consort. Got it…”

Shota: “…So, we’re really quitting this company, huh…”

“Mm-hm♡ I’ve no intention of going back now. Our goal isn’t the ‘president’s chair’ — it’s the future of this entire company♡

Shota let out a small laugh and lowered his eyes.

“…We’re going to buy the company, right?”

“Exactly♡ Until you become CEO, my love, I will never stop♡”

No one could laugh it off as mere “ambition” anymore.

Everyone in the company somehow knew these two truly would rewrite the future of Sunrise Global Trading.

As they left the HR department, no one called out to them.

But the eyes of those who saw them off glistened. And just before the elevator doors closed, Shota glanced back and murmured softly:

…Thank you. I… had an ‘extraordinary’ love here.”

The doors shut.

Sunrise Global Trading — the prologue to a quiet revolution.

【Prologue: Sunrise Global Trading Without Ryoko and Shota】

The president’s office was dimly lit, the only light spilling from between the blinds, falling across an empty sofa. At the massive desk in the back sat—

Tatsuro Sakurai, President and CEO of Sunrise Global Trading. Before him lay two white envelopes.

Looking down at them, Sakurai muttered:

“…Hah… ha-ha… I did it…!”

Laughing, a sheen of greasy sweat beaded on his forehead.

“Finally… finally that woman quit…! I no longer have to live in fear of her… of those red-glowing eyes… of that sweet voice that echoes directly in my brain…!”

Sakurai had once suffered Ryoko’s hormone manipulation — and ever since, he’d been haunted by nightmares of her red gaze.

“It’s over… Heh… my era will return…! I’ll push forward the research into Sonokata-shiro’s medicinal effects, break her curse, and develop a drug to turn humans into emotion-controlled combat robots, making Sunrise’s name resound in the underworld.”

His shoulders suddenly twitched.

“…Wait… quitting the company… don’t tell me they plan to come ‘from the outside’…?”

He quickly shook his head.

“No, no… Sunrise Global is a worldwide corporation. What could that woman possibly do alone…? It’s fine, it’s fine…”

Meanwhile — in a corner of the office, in the supply room, a young female employee was quietly cryin’.

“Uuuh… waaahhhh…!”

It was Miki Endo.

“Why… why’d they up an’ quit all of a sudden…?!

Shota-senpai, jus’ yesterday you were all happy sayin’, ‘This chocolate’s so good♡!’”

Even as a coworker offered her tissues, Miki kept sobbin’ between hiccups.

“…Ah can’t… Ah just can’t stand Sunrise Global without y’all two!”

Burned into her eyes was the sight of Ryoko and Shota walking side by side:
• Ryoko glaring back at women from other departments in the morning elevator
• Shota behind her saying, “Whoa, scary!” with a laugh
• Ryoko watching Shota speak in meetings with a warm smile

“They were my idea of the perfect couple…”

The air in Sunrise Global was still quiet. But without a doubt — a company without those two felt… like somethin’ precious had been clean cut away, leavin’ nothin’ but emptiness.
