Daisukes Demand

After our date I was once again in high spirits. At work I tried to tread lightly with Aoto, but after he teased me all day about how it went I finally gave in and told him the details, only for him to tease me about only holding hands. Later in the week the rumours about me being in a scandalous relationship with a younger woman were flying high through the office, but it made me smile for once, not only because it reminded me of Sophia, but also because I took it as a sign that Aoto was back to his usual self.

At dance class Taiga also pestered me about the date and I gave her quite a detailed rundown and she ate it all up. When I got to the part where I invited her home she seemed to be in disbelief at my boldness, but she also seemed to be quite invigorated by the idea and me cooking for the girl I was in love with seemed to be her favourite part, apparently her husband went through a similar ordeal in the past. Ordeal was how he put it in retrospect as Kaida assured me.

So far the week went pretty well for me. Sophia and I would go see a movie on saturday and then maybe do something else before going to my place where I would do the cooking for us. But this peace would not be very longlasting as a promise I made was about to catch up with me.

„Hey Sato, long time no see.“ I recognized the voice immediately. I hadn't spoken to her since I gave her the letter and I didn't try to avoid her, but I also wasn't keen on seeing her again, but now the time was finally here.

„Oh Daisuke, hello. Thank you for everything.“

„Oh yes, I heard from Sophia how well everything went.“ She sported a cheeky smile whilst saying it and I was fully aware that she hadn't forgotten our deal.

„Now Sato, you know what you promised me?“

„I do remember promising no naughty stuff specifically.“

„Oh, don't be such a bore Sato. Maybe a little kiss on the mouth for your little cupid? That's not very naughty, is it.“

„I haven't even kissed Sophia, so no. You better come up with something I'm really going to do or I'm leaving right now.“ I wasn't really angry since I had fully expected her to tease me with something like this, but I also wanted to get it over with, so I was trying to at least sound annoyed.

„Well, how about a kiss on the cheek at least?“

„Do you just want to set me up so you can show Sophia some evidence that I cheated on her?“

„What gives you that idea Sato? I'm such an innocent little girl and you accuse me of such insolence. You better apologize.“

„How about I blow off the deal and go home?“

„Oh, you are such a rascal Sato.“

„Well, then. I'm off.“ I was actually starting to turn around and was about to leave, but she grabbed me by the sleeve of my jacket, not unlike Sophia not too long ago.

„Okay, okay Sato. I actually have something I need from you.“

„I'm listening.“ I turned back around to face her again.

„Well, I need to buy something from a shop, but I'm kinda banned there. So I can't go. And I can only buy the things there. So I need you to go get the things I need for me.“

„Can't you have Sophia go for you? You are friends, right?“

„She can't. Don't ask why. She just can't. You have to go.“

„Alright, alright. I go. I go. So what is it I'm buying exactly? Nothing illegal I hope.“

„No, no. Don't worry. It's some ingredience I need to cook something and they are grown by the person who runs the shop, but as I said I can't go there right now, but I need the ingredience, so please...“

„I'll do it, don't worry.“

„As for the money...“

„Don't worry about it. As long as it doesn't cost a fortune I'm paying for it. I owe you that much at least.“

„Oh, thank you so much Sato.“

„And where would that fabulous shop be located?

She went to the counter and fetched a piece of paper which she handed to me.

„Here, I drew a map of it. You won't find the location online or anywhere, so you have to use the map. I also put down what I need on the other side.“

„This is starting to sound fishy again. But okay, I said I'll do it, so I will.“

„I'm sorry this sounds so unwholesome, but you are my only hope Sato.“

„If it's that important I won't disappoint you. Do you need the stuff by a specific date, or...?“

„No, not really. Soon would be nice, but please take your time.“

„Okay, got it. Well, I'm off then.“

„I reward you with a kiss when you get back Sato.“

„Oh, that piece of paper just slipped out of my pocket, too bad.“

„You are mean Sato, you are just so kissable, can't help it.“

„And you are just so leavable.“

„You are mean again Sato.“

„Can't help it I guess.“

After that we our goodbyes and I put the note in my pocket for now. I was going to deal with it soon, but since it was Friday already and I had the date with Sophia tomorrow it had to wait until next week.
