Chapter 23: The Dangerous Survivor...

Kaega was on a rooftop with many hiding spots. He looked in the direction the compass was pointing, where a large, burly man carrying a huge mace was walking down the street. He was in a one-on-one fight with a grotesque, six-armed creature that moved as nimbly as a spider, using wires and daggers in combat.

The burly man charged forward, bringing his mace down on the grotesque creature. The creature dodged backward and whipped its wires at the burly man's weapon.

Whoosh, swish swish, thwack!

The wire quickly wrapped tightly around the burly man's weapon, and then he pulled hard.

He failed to pull the weapon away, and the weapon didn't move.

The burly man roared and then swung his weapon wildly, intending to pull the grotesque creature holding the wire over.

The creature wasn't foolish enough to hold onto the wire forever; he let go as soon as he saw it was useless....

The burly man ran forward, swinging his mace back and forth, but the creature didn't stand still to take the hits. He ran backward, pulling out numerous wires from his body and stringing them around like a spider's web. He strung them as he ran.

The burly man was like a mad bull. He chased frantically, ignoring the wires blocking his path, and soon he was entangled after getting caught in too many.

The burly man was now tied up, unable to move, just lying in one spot, while the spider-like creature looked at him mockingly.

With that, his six arms reached for the daggers behind his back. He continuously slashed and stabbed at the burly man's flesh. He didn't aim for vital spots; he wanted to torture the person in front of him, to savor the feeling of carving another's flesh. He laughed, a smile full of pleasure, and stabbed and tore.

But after 5 minutes of cutting and tearing, he saw that the burly man wasn't dead.

-Why isn't he dead yet?

Contrary to the pleasure he felt just moments ago, he now felt a sense of unease. He now felt that the man in front of him couldn't be left alive. He aimed for the vital spots, but it was too late.

The burly man roared like a monster. He used his strength to break free from all the bindings and charged. The grotesque creature, though prepared for this situation, couldn't react in time to the man's explosive speed. He slammed his mace with great force into the creature's ribs, sending him flying through a building.

The creature vomited blood, struggling amidst the rubble. The burly man slowly walked over.

The creature was trying to beg, but the burly man said nothing, just swung his mace.

The scream was now like the roar of a monstrous beast. The pain could be felt through the sound. The burly man sat down on the creature's position, his mouth wide open.

Kaega followed the directions and soon encountered another burly man walking down the street, unarmed. Kaega quickly threw a knife at him and hid.

The unarmed burly man was hit by a thrown knife. He turned around angrily, only to be struck by a mace. But unlike the grotesque creature, he didn't go flying; instead, he used his arm to hold the mace and then landed a punch on the one who had just hit him.

A battle between two burly men began.

The unarmed man punched the mace-wielder hard in the face, but he didn't fall. Instead, he swung his mace so hard it broke one of the unarmed man's arms.

The unarmed man roared and headbutted the mace-wielder. The powerful impact stunned them both, but the unarmed man recovered quickly.

He kicked the mace-wielder in the head. The man flew into a house and lay motionless. The unarmed man charged in and attacked relentlessly.

He attacked non-stop for a while, then his arm was caught. The mace-wielder was awake and enraged. He roared.

-GAOOO WHOOSH!!!!!!!!

He swung his mace with incredible force, the sound of the wind being torn apart could be heard before the swing.

CRACK!

The unarmed man's head was smashed to a pulp, his body sent flying 3 meters away.

The mace-wielder, like a furious beast, continuously battered the unarmed man's body. The unarmed man, though still conscious and trying to fight back, was helpless. Soon, his entire body was reduced to minced meat.
