LIFE OF THE DEMON OF TYRANNY
Final Chapter : FUTURE SAGA
The man walks down the busy streets of PATA as his sword and gun dematerialize, leaving specs of Kantarntar behind. He walks down the streets for a while, then takes a turn into an abandoned street, where he meets up with a shadowy figure. The shadowy figure wore a long, black, draped coat, black clothes, a mask that looked like that of a doctor, and a top hat. He stood in the darke.t corners of the street as he said in an, ominous voice, “Did you complete, your mission”, the man in response gives a slight smirk a,s he brings out his phone and shows the shadowy figure an image of the two demon’s carcasses as he says “Those were the last ones, now pay up I don’t have all day.” The shadowy figure seeing all the evidence he needed snapped it’s fingers and a puff of black smoke appeared over the man’s outstretched hand a sack of money materializing from the black smoke, the man seeing the sack of money grinned as he counted it but immediately frowned as he said “The money isn’t complete jack ass,” the shadowy figure who had already turned to leave turned back to face the ma,n as he said calmly in the same ominous voice th, at lac, ked any sort of emot, ion “the 50000000 Riis was .or if one of them poinjureed whs looking forone o,f the demon’s you killed possess any of the flame sword fragments so I’ll leave you with just 200000 Riis”. “You never mention the agreement. The yells as in the blink of an eye he covers the distance between himself and the shadowy figure, he then looks at the shadowy figure, both of his eyes glowing yellow as he threatens, “Either you give me my money, or you die a horrible death, voice, sell your organs.” The shadowy figure didn’t seem the least bit threatened by the man’s threat as he said in the same cold, detached voice, “Think wisely about your next choice, Leon, one more foolish statement and you won’t live to see tomorrow.” Leon, hearing his threat, didn’t back down or even flinch; instead, he materialized a Desert Eagle out of thin air and shot the mysterious figure’s head at point-blank range. The figure moves back a few inches, as blood gushed out of his forehead, hered-headed that the bshoulder-lengthrated through tgreenask, ,h e didn’t seem to pay any the wound though, instead he looks at Leon as he says “Let it be in the books I warned you,” thalleywaypeed faster than that of light he, grabs Leon’s head and,smashheels into a nearby wall with enough force that bentall breaks in pieces. Leon responds by materializing his sword and, with a quick slash, strikes the figure’s hand, and blood gushed out from the arm. The sword made a deep cut. The figure leaped away from Leon holding his arm in pain as he stared at him wiping the mixture of the mysterious persn’s blood and his blood from the earlier hit on the wall of his face as he smirked saying “I was aiming for your entire arm, but you dodged at the last second escaping w, ith only a deep wound. You’re fast, ill give you that,”, with that he jumped and he kicked against the air like it was a hard surface, a red glow coming from, the empty space he kicked against and with insane speed he propelled himself towards the mysterious man preparing to use the momentum to cut off the mysterious person’s head but before he could cut off his head, the mysterious man dodged at the last second. Not wanting to give the mysterious man any time to recuperate, Leon coated his blade in kantar and swung hard as a crimson kantar crescent emerged from the blade and hurled towards the man with intense speed, but to Leon's surprise. The man didn’t move; instead, he took a deep breath, and when he exhaled, he exhaled cold air, and everything within 20 centimeters of him turned to ice, including the crescent energy wave. He then created icicle projectiles from the air and shot them toward Leon, all of them hurling at speeds that could break the sound barrier, but Leon used his blade to deflect each and every one of the icicle projectiles quite easily. He then created a missile from thin air and shot it at the man blowing up in point blank range, when the smoke from the missile cleared Leon saw the carcass of the mysterious figure and he gave a grin as he says “That serves you right” but before he could salvage his victory he felt an icicle knife pierced on his neck. As the voice of the mysterious man says, “You’re strong, what else was I to expect from the demon of tyranny?” Leon stared at the carcass, and everything clicked in place as he saw it turn to Kantar and said to himself, “Kantar double, I should’ve guessed.” He then grins as he says to the man “Well, I guess you’re more cunning than I thought. Either way, play time is over”. With that, his eyes glow yellow, and red lightning surrounds his body, electrocuting the man and forcing him to back away. Leon then turns around and faces the man, his body surrounded in lightning and a . Sheon his face as he raises his hands to the sky, shooting kanthe clouds. The man looked at the cloud, not knowing what to expect, but before he could think or react, rods made of kantar stabbed him all over his body completely. Justvering him in holes as L, eon snickered to himself saying “Who says I can’t be cunning, that lightning was just a light show to distrpowers from what I was actually planning.” Wdrawbackle on his second-generationizes his sword in his hand and, stabs through the heart of the man, as he says “Maybe in the next li,fe you’, 'll remember not to, mess. with me.”
After confirming the man was dead, Leon slips back into his worst-case scenario as he says to himself, “Well, I pierced his heart, so I can no longer sell it. I made sure not to injure any other organs badly, though, so I can still make dough out of that.” He then pulls out his phone and dials a number as he sits on one of the emergency staircases of the. The phone rings for a while before the person picks up, and a female’s voice can be heard on the other end of the line. “Leon, I’m busy right now, so whatever you want to say, say it fast.” Leo, hearing this, says in an oddly serious voice, “I’ve found a new had potenti, al dogaveI need you to csaid, over anhiseck the body out.. Wee woman on the other end pauses when she hears what he says, then says in a hushed tone, “I’ll be there in twenty minutes, just send me the location.” Leon, hearing this, gives a faint smile and ends the call, using his GPS app to send his exact location to her as he says to himself, “page is a figure. Sheod person, dropping everything for me like that.” He waits for a while, and exactly twenty minutes later, a red-headed woman with shoulder-length hair, emerald green eyes, and a slim and tall physique enters the alley. She wore a lab coat over a black cordemon-relatedand a red blouse. She scanned the alleyway and when her eyes landed on Leon, she strode towards him, her heels clicking against the damp pavement as she bent to meet his eye level, saying, “Hey Leon, you okay? You’re looking kind of pale.” Leon, hearing this, just gives a grunt as he stares up at the page, his sclera thick, bloodshot, while his retina has a very strong yellow glow to them. Page sees this, and freaks out as she says, “Oh my god, oh my god!!!!!!” She then reached for her purse and dug out a strange jelly capsule, dragging it to Leon’s mouth as she said, “Le, on, eat this.” Leon obediently swallows the drug, and slowly his eyes go back to normal, and his breathing, which had been jagged, slowly goes back to normal too. He sees the age with a kind smile as he says, “Thanks, I owe you one.” He then gets up from the emergency stair case his face showing visible signs of fatigue and page seeing this folds her arms crossly as she says “I thought we agreed on not using any devil powers”, Leon seeing page angry chuckles a bit trying to downplay the severity of the situation a he says “I only used a glimpse of it, nothing serious.” Page hearing that raises her voice says, “Don’t you think using a bit of your devil powers to trigger your process, your body shockingly hanging, in there. I don’t know why you agree to continue that celestial knowing fully well the curse that plagued him would transfer to you. To make it worse, you never even told the others why you killed him, till now, almost two decades later, they don’t even know that Atreus requested to kill him.” Leon sighs when Page finishes venting and sits down on, one of the steps of the emergency stair case again, saying “I did what I had to do, the curse wou,ld have turned Atreus into a demon and it would, be nearly impossible to stop a celesti9al if he turned intgrins,esaying,spThanks,y one that you have a bond to. That’s why I killed him and inherited his curse, I’m weaker than Atreus so when I turn I,won’t be as much of a thereat as, he would have been and by making, the other’s bel,ieve I killed him out of selfish intent they won’, hesitate to kill me when the time comes, they won’t be affected by the curse bec,ause of, their kantar mastery, the curse is o. It’s strong enough to affect those with mid to slightly high level kantar mastery, as for Shu and the others, they’ve already unlocked their kantar manifestations, something that only kantar users with complete mastery over their kantar can do.” Tears come down from the page’s eye when she hears Leon’s reasons for keeping the truth hidden. She then hits Leon’s chest, but not with any kind of force, as her voice is broken through, “Dumb brother, do you think your big sister will just let you become a demon? Never. I’ve already found a way to slow down the process, just hang on a little longer, and I’ll be able to find a thorough way to stabilize you. If possible, even give you the ability to use the demonic powers that come with the curse without any drawback, like a second-generation demon hybrid.” Leon, seeing his sister crying like that, holds her close and comforts her, saying, “I believe in you, sis, I know you’ll find a way to cure me. I was just speaking of worst-case scenarios, and hopefully we don’t have to come to that.” He then gives a smile as he says, “Oh yeah.” He then points at the body of the man he fought a while ago as he says, “I got a new body you can use as a potential donor.” Page hears Leon’s words of comfort and is also a bit intrigued by the potential of the new donor Leon talked about wipes her tears and moves to the body to observe it, she squats beside it and opens a black hand bag she had been carrying around bringing out various small equipment as she runs a small test on the body.After thirty minutes had elapsed, she gave a grin as she said, “Yup, his organs are good.” We can sell this for 10000000000000 Riis at least, more than enough money to fund the next phase of my experiments to stabilize you.” Barely being able to contain her excitement, Page coats the body in her kantar and activates her kantar technique, causing the body to shrink to the size of an action figure. She then places the body in a bag of sorts and places it in her black bag. She turns towards Leon as she says, “With that drug I gave you, you should be stable for about three weeks. But please, I beg of you, try as much as possible not to use demon-related powers, they strengthen the curse and weaken the effects of the drug. I’m going back to work, I’ll head home later in the evening, see you then.” Page then looks at Leon one more time as if inspecting to see if he was actually okay now before turning around and leaving. Leon, after ensuring Page had gone far enough, stood up and said to what seems to nobody, “You can come out now, I know you’ve been watching me.” As he says that a faint purple light glows right in front of Hannah appears as she asks casually, “How did you know?” Leon just shrugs and says, “I just had a hunch, wasn’t really sure if there was anyone there.” He then pauses and asks, “How long have you been watching exactly?” To that, Hannah answers, “Since your fight with your client.” Leon, hearing that, stares at the ground as he says, “Before you ask, yeah, what I said about your brother is true.” Hannah hearing Leon’s confession doesn’t look shocked or anything like that she just gives a faint smile as she says “I already know that, normally all the celestials would have been after you for killing one of their own but Atreus already gave us the bbreakdownand made us hide the information from Shu and the others to make sure what needs to happen happens.” Leon, hearing this, stared at Hannah in shock as Hannah, ignoring Leon’s shocked expression, continued by saying, “Leon, you’re going to die. At least not from the curse, the reason why Atreus asked you specifically to kill him was because the celestial of time had already seen your future about what would happen if Atreus gave you the curse. You will survive, for the sake of not altering the events too much, that’s all the celestial time permitted me to say to you regarding your curse.” Leon, hearing that he was going to survive the curse, feels a huge weight being lifted from his shoulders as he grins, saying, “Thanks, Hannah, you just made my day.” Hannah just gives a faint smile in response as she says, “Keep that knowledge to yourself, though, for your own sake.” Leon, understanding what Hannah meant, nods as he asks, “So is that the reason you came all the way here, to tell me I’ll survive?” Hannah’s face gets completely serious as she says, “Sadly, no, I came here to ask for your help. It’s Hanz, the version that exists in this time, he’s been captured by the demon lords, and we’ll need your help to get him back.” She then pauses as she says “Keep in mind that these events weren’t seen as part of your future so I understand if you decide to decline, we plan to go to the demon realm a day before the full moon, that’s the period when all the barriers between the three realms are at their weakest making it easier to create and regulate a portal between realms, you can meet up with us during that time if you agree to go with us and if you don’t, just keep on leaving your normal life. I'll understand, even though I don’t know what your sister would do if she lost you, her only family.”
With that, Hannah teleports away, leaving Leon to process everything that he had just been told and make his decision. Will he decide to help the others or not?
