Chapter 33:

The Ruler of the Northern Region Intervenes

The Devourer of Destiny

The changing weather brought a mysterious figure whose pair of contrasting wings stood out prominently. The man wrapped in feathery white cloth effortlessly lifted Mahendra from the ship and threw him into the sea.

He did it with such ease, as if he were turning the page of a thin book.

The entire crew was in a panic, especially Liliana and Ningsih, who were shocked at how quickly it happened. This didn't include the Wandering King, who stood calmly, staring at the man floating above the ship.

"Why has The Ruler of The Region come here? It's unlikely you've come to welcome us to the Northern Region, is it?" the Wandering King said with a hint of sarcasm, stepping forward.

"Ha..." The man chuckled slightly and sighed as if he found it all a joke.

"What are you doing in my territory, Wandering King?" he retorted.

His majestic presence brought the crew of The Sun to a halt. They couldn't do anything, feeling as though they were facing a god. However, they and Liliana were shocked when they heard the name 'Wandering King.'

"Wandering King? One of the four strongest legends?" Liliana stared at the blind man in disbelief.

"Nephilim! You suddenly show up and get that boy in trouble. You shouldn't have done that. I'm sure you're not a person who likes to be troubled."

This time, the name "Nephilim" was mentioned. Liliana looked up with the same expression of disbelief and surprise at everything she had just heard, as did her crew.

"What's with today? Two of the four strongest legends are standing right in front of me now," Liliana mumbled, bowing her head weakly.

"I did it because I don't want my territory to fall into chaos because of him. Isn't that reason enough? And if you want to visit, I'll welcome you, including these people," Nephilim said.

"Because you don't want your territory to fall into chaos? You killed him back then, and are you going to do it again this time?" the Wandering King asked, provoking him.

"Oh, wait. Let me rephrase that... you've probably already killed that boy out in the open sea now," the Wandering King added, frowning.

They stared at each other with an unspoken intensity that was hard to describe. There was no hatred, but just a difference in opinion that made the atmosphere so tense it left Liliana and her crew silent with fear.

Just their conversation alone seemed to be able to shake the heavens. The weather changed slightly, and the ocean waves followed suit. It felt as if the Northern Region was a part of its ruler's own body.

Nephilim and the Wandering King stood in silence for quite a while, not looking like they were going to fight. Yet, it felt like they had already fought on this ship. Liliana, who was quite perceptive in this situation, chose to turn her back with her head still bowed low.

"You must be joking. The Devourer Destiny wouldn't die that easily just because I threw him," Nephilim said in a low voice. He then flew down and stood at the edge of the ship.

"That boy is still vulnerable. Unlike when you killed him before," the Wandering King replied.

Nephilim let out a long sigh and looked away, feeling a bit uneasy.

"To be honest, I want to get him out of here as soon as possible because of Panacea. You should know why he's here, and he shouldn't be alone."

The Wandering King's expression softened as he walked closer to Nephilim and asked, "They're coming again? Isn't it too early?"

"I think it's because this time's Devourer Destiny is from another place. It's not because their movements are too fast. At least not like before when they hunted him as a child or when he was just born."

The conversation was on a high level and very difficult to follow. Liliana and her crew could only remain silent, unintentionally eavesdropping on their conversation.

"So you know he's from another world?"
"I was just guessing."
"Huh... what was that?" The Wandering King crossed his arms in front of his chest, stomping his foot repeatedly as if waiting for something else from the man.

"Don't look at me. Deal with all those troublesome things yourself."

"Hey, you did it back then... you killed him with your own hands, so will it be the same this time?"

"You usually don't interfere," Nephilim mumbled. "I'm trying to get him away because of Panacea, and I don't want them to meet and destroy the Northern Region. That's all," he answered.

"If that's the case, I won't ask any further. Besides, we're only passing through this region for a little while."

Their conversation went on for quite some time, but they shouldn't have forgotten about someone, right?

Meanwhile, no one knew where Ningsih was. But what was certain was that she was very worried about Mahendra, who had been thrown to who knows where. His whereabouts were still unconfirmed, but Ningsih was determined to find him by running on the water.

"Hey, captain! Point the ship in the direction where Mahendra was thrown! We have to find him immediately!" the Wandering King shouted to Liliana.

"Aye aye, sir!" With great respect, Liliana immediately ran to the ship's helm.

Beberapa menit kemudian, mereka menemukan Mahendra. Ningsih, yang tiba lebih dulu, kini duduk di atas air, menatap Mahendra yang mengapung di dekat bebatuan es.

The Wandering King jumped out of the ship and immediately approached him. When he arrived, he was shocked by Mahendra's strange condition.

Sang Raja Pengembara mengangkat kerah baju hitamnya dan melihat sepasang mata merahnya terbuka tanpa tanda-tanda kehidupan. Seperti mata orang mati.

"Are you serious?"
