Chapter 98:
My Telekinetic Office Lady Girlfriend Is Way Too Powerful!
August 29, 10:00 a.m.
At the top floor’s grand hall of Sunrise Global Trading headquarters, the venue of the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting, shareholders gathered one after another, waiting for the meeting to begin.
In front of that building, Ryoko stood still.
She wore sunglasses and a simple one-piece dress to avoid drawing attention, but tension and impatience seeped into her expression.
As she tried to head for reception, a security guard stopped her.
“We’re terribly sorry. You are Ms. Ryoko Takahashi, correct? Entry will not be permitted for you today.”
“…What?”
For a moment, Ryoko couldn’t understand what had just been said and stared at the guard.
In his hand was a paper labeled, “Sunrise Global Trading Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting — Entry Restriction List.”
On it was just a single name.
“Ryoko Takahashi”
“Ryoko Takahashi is the proxy representative of a shareholder who has the right to attend. Please explain the reason.”
Shota, who had accompanied her, pressed the guard, but he only shook his head with a bitter expression.
“…For the purpose of ensuring operational security. There is apparently a record of you having exercised ‘unusual methods’ inside the company before.”
“That’s—!”
Before Shota could raise his voice, Ryoko gently gripped his arm.
“It’s fine, Shota-kun… This is President Sakurai’s defensive move. He thought that if I were in the venue, everything would fall under my control. …I expected this.”
Her voice was quiet, but carried a certain undercurrent of anger.
“But, if I cannot enter… then Shota-kun, you are the one who must stand on this battlefield.”
She reached out her hand and gently stroked his chest.
“Because, right here in your heart, I’m with you♡”
Shota gave a small nod. Then, without looking back at Ryoko, he walked into the venue.
Ryoko clenched her fist tightly.
(…Sakurai… to use such a trick. But just watch. Shota-kun is much stronger than you think.)

【Shareholders’ Meeting, Shota Becomes President】On the day of the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting, the top floor grand hall of Sunrise Global Trading headquarters was wrapped in a tense, unusual atmosphere. Sunrise employees, shareholders, and many members of the press crowded in. On the stage sat the current directors, looking completely worn out.
At 11:00 a.m., Sunrise Global Trading’s extraordinary shareholders’ meeting began in a hushed, tense silence.
Taking the podium was the current president, Sakurai.
Clad in a black suit, he surveyed the shareholders with a stern expression.
The chairperson calmly proceeded with the agenda. And at last, the time came for deliberation on the proposal submitted by Rhein Welt Asset: the election of new director candidates.
“Now, we will proceed to the vote on the shareholder proposal: the election of Mr. Shota Sasaki as a candidate for director.”
The moment the chairperson’s words ended, murmurs rose here and there throughout the venue. President Sakurai glared at the chairperson with a grim look.
A call for votes of approval or disapproval was made. Rhein Welt Asset had already, through a proxy fight, won over the support of many shareholders. And looking across the hall, including the major shareholders whom Ryoko and Shota had persuaded, there were clearly many who showed approval.
An unfavorable outcome for President Sakurai was nearly certain.
(Why… why have so many shares moved… Even if I eliminated that woman, at this rate…)
Sakurai’s eyes darted restlessly.
When the votes were counted, Shota was elected as director by majority approval.

Next, deliberation moved to the proposal for the election of a new representative director. Rhein Welt Asset had recommended Shota as the next president.
Again, a vote was taken. And then, the results were announced.
At that moment, on the large screen at the back of the venue, the shareholder vote tally appeared.
Proposal: Election of Mr. Shota Sasaki as new representative director
● Approval: 71.3%

The instant the numbers appeared, small murmurs escaped from the once silent hall.
“Eh, Sasaki… that young kid?”
“No way… he was only in his second or third year?”
“I heard rumors in the company, but for it to really happen…”
Someone muttered, “It’s just like a drama.”
On stage, Sakurai saw those numbers and his face paled instantly.
Then, he glared at Shota, seated before him.
Shota stood up with a tense expression.
“Now, we will move to the approval address from the newly elected representative director, Mr. Shota Sasaki.”
The announcer’s voice echoed.
A spotlight shone on Shota, inviting him onto the stage.
Step by step, he walked forward.
(I… am really becoming president? No, that’s not it. This is… a place Ryoko-senpai and I seized together.)
In his heart, an oddly clear and tranquil emotion welled up.

【Right Before the Greeting — Shota’s Total Meltdown and Sakurai’s Mockery】On stage—
Shota froze completely in front of the microphone.
“…Uh, um…”
He thought he had spoken his first words, but what slipped from his lips was nothing more than a faint breath of air.
The script in his trembling hands crumpled, making it impossible to read.
The heat of the spotlight felt unbearably strong.
In the depths of his ears, only the pounding of his own heart echoed.
(Eh, why are my legs shaking this much…?)
“…Uh… um… I-I… I humbly…”
Unthinkably, he suddenly found himself lost between sounding formal and casual. “We,” “I,” and “myself” tangled together in a desperate three-way standoff inside his head.
The murmur of the audience began to spread again.
“…Is he okay?”
“He’s nervous, huh.”
“No matter how young he is, maybe being president is impossible…”
Amidst such whispers flitting about—
Sakurai, sitting in the front row, let out a smirk.
“…See? I told you. There’s no way a child could serve as president.”
Once, he had stood on this stage more confidently than anyone else as president. To his eyes, Shota’s figure now looked utterly ridiculous.
“Hmph. Sasaki Shota, nothing more than that woman’s toy. He doesn’t even belong on this stage. Let him publicly expose his own incompetence. If he disgraces himself here, he’ll be branded with a scarlet letter in society, and it’ll be easier for me to make my next move…”
And yet, in his eyes, another thing was mixed in—fear.
(As long as that woman doesn’t come here…)
Sakurai’s eyes darted toward the entrance of the venue, the emergency exits, and even the windows outside.
(Don’t come… Ryoko Takahashi. If you come, again… that nightmare…!)
—
On stage, Shota’s mind had gone completely blank.
(This is bad… nothing’s coming to me…!)

【To the Alley, Toward Shota—Ryoko Moves】At that very moment, a chill shiver ran down Ryoko’s spine.
—Shota-kun…?
At a café near Sunrise Global Trading headquarters, Ryoko watched the proceedings of the meeting via a smartphone livestream. Her hand trembled faintly.
From the hormonal signals she sensed remotely from Shota, his panic, his anxiety, his tension, his self-denial—all of it was flowing into her.
“No… at this rate, Shota-kun will break…!”
Ryoko stood up swiftly and took a deep breath.
“…I’m sorry, Mama Masako. I promised not to enter the shareholders’ meeting… but this is a wife’s emergency.”
Ryoko dashed out of the café.

【Ryoko and Miki — A “Goodbye” Hug】Ryoko avoided the crowded front entrance of headquarters and slipped into a deserted alley. It was so she could telekinetically fly up to the roof of Sunrise HQ.
At that moment—
“Ryoko, ma’am!!”
Turning around, she saw Miki sprinting toward her with all her strength. Her hair was disheveled, and her eyes brimmed with tears.
“…Where’ve ya been all this time…! The company’s in chaos…!”
Breathless, she struggled to string her words together.
“Some German company Ah don’t even know suddenly launched a TOB on Sunrise, President Sakurai’s gone, ever’body’s freakin’ out… an’ nobody seems to know where you are… Ah dunno what to do no more!!”
Ryoko smiled softly, walked over to Miki, and gently embraced her shoulders.
“…I’m sorry, Miki-chan. I really am, for keeping silent.”
Her voice was so tender, it seeped into the heart.
A soft, gentle atmosphere wrapped around Miki.
It was the embrace of “relaxation hormones” Ryoko quietly released.
Caught off guard, Miki’s tension melted away. She sobbed like a child, burying her face against Ryoko’s chest.
Ryoko whispered softly.
“Shota-kun is calling for me. Yes… Shota-kun and I… have to return to Isekai(another world)♡”
“…Eh?”
“Goodbye, Miki-chan. The days I spent at Sunrise with you… I truly enjoyed them♡”
With those words, Ryoko floated gently upward, slipping out of Miki’s arms.
“Ryoko, ma’am…?”
Before the dumbfounded Miki’s eyes, Ryoko rose as if melting into the blue sky, and quietly disappeared into the shadow of the building.
Left standing there for some time, Miki finally murmured,
“…So she really was… a psychic… Ryoko, ma’am…”
The tears spilling from her eyes were no longer of anger or confusion, but only of pure surprise and loneliness.
