Chapter 4:
āBolt Saga: Time Lapseā
When the explosion lit up the entire forest, the soldiers staggered back, blinded by the glare.
Kai fell to his knees, gasping, feeling the symbol burning on his arm.
When he lifted his head, he realized: the creature had vanished, as if it had dissolved into its own radiance.
ā Whereās the monster?! ā the soldiers shouted.
Kai didnāt answer. He didnāt know either.
Suddenly, the ground shook and a spear flew toward him, lost in the chaos.
Kai instinctively raised his arms.
Before he could think, a translucent wall of pure light appeared before him, solid as stone, blocking the impact.
The metal ricocheted through the air with a loud crash.
ā What⦠what is this? ā Kai whispered, staring at his own glowing hands.
The soldiers stood in shock.
It was impossible.
Light had never been something one could touch⦠and yet, before their eyes, a mere boy from the village was shaping it into solid form.
Kai staggered, feeling the energy surge through his body.
His heart pounded as if keeping pace with the very speed of light itself.
On impulse, he moved to the sideāonly to discover that he had shifted so fast his own eyes barely followed his movement.
Shield. Speed. Strength.
The gift was not just power. It was responsibility.
From the depths of his mind, the creatureās voice echoed once again:
ā āThe veil has broken. And the light has chosen you.ā
Kai dropped to his knees, unable to comprehend what was happening.
He wasnāt a hero, wasnāt a trained warrior. He was just a young boy from the Village of Delight.
But now, something greater than himself had been placed in his hands.
And deep within his chest, a certainty grew: soon the realms would discover that
the world was changing once more.
