Chapter 1:
Conquest of meridian
There was once a young boy who had seen many hardships, which made him want to change the world for the better. However, he was too young at the time to know everything.
One day, he awoke to a magic power within him that allowed him to see the past and future. His name was Daemon; he was born with white hair that shimmered like snow on a winter day.
“It seems like my wish will come true by changing this pathetic world,” said Daemon, thinking of many ways to coordinate everything.
He wandered around the world studying his enemies, who were just humans but there were particular ones he detested.
“I will secretly work behind the scenes before I'm ready to take action. Now I need someone I can trust for this plan to work,” said Daemon.
His thoughts wavered as he wandered around the city, planning, but he couldn’t settle on anything concrete.
He started thinking about changing the world since nothing seemed to go well for anyone.
He continued to walk and noticed that many things had stayed the same while others had changed a lot, like buildings and areas that were known to be historical sights.
“What should I do to make these changes and what possibilities could there be by doing this?” Daemon pondered.
Daemon then decided to go home at midnight. He had seen many wonderful things, but he knew they might not last due to how the world was. When he returned home, his mom greeted him with a warm hug.
“How was your day?” Daemon's mom asked.
“It was fine, but I want to improve this imperfect world; it doesn't seem as easy as I wanted it to be,” said Daemon as he sat on the couch looking at the lights.
She sat down next to him. “It's hard to change everything, but taking it one step at a time will help you achieve what you want,” said Daemon's mom.
“You're right, Mom. It might take a bit to know what I want to achieve fully in life,” said Daemon.
“I fully support what you do for the future,” Daemon's mom replied and patted his head.
She told him that achieving everything at once would be difficult, but he could accomplish his dream if he took it one step at a time.
Daemon was grateful for her support and promised to improve the world. One in which all individuals could be equal and every child could live a happy life without suffering.
“Aren't you starting school tomorrow? You need sleep,” said Daemon's mom.
“I completely forgot about school!” said Daemon as he awkwardly laughed.
“Since you’ve remembered, off you go,” said Daemon's mom, softly pushing him toward his room.
“I will be up early now that I'm entering freshman year,” said Daemon as he yawned and headed to his room
She nodded and headed to her own bedroom.
The next day, Daemon woke up for school and prepared to leave.
“Now, my work starts once I step inside the school,” said Daemon.
Many students passed him and headed toward their classes in a rush.
“Let's see, it seems I have some basic classes. Do they think I don't have the skills to be in advanced classes?" he asked himself.
A girl gracefully appeared in front of him. Her hair was two different colors; one side red and the other side gold.
“Why are you standing in the middle of the hall when the bell has rung?” said the girl as she put her hands on her hips.
“My loud friend Kaeya seems to have appeared in my presence without notice,” said Daemon as he shrugged and shook his head.
“Hey, is that how you treat someone who came here to see if you are alright?” Kaeya said as she stared at him.
“You're loud. How can I not hear you stomping behind me? I was just thinking,” said Daemon as he looked at the sheet of paper.
“Give me a break. You lose focus a little too much, and you lose sight of what to do next,” said Kaeya as she sighed at him.
“Are you implying that I can't focus on what I plan to achieve?" said Daemon as he humphed.
“You're reading this all wrong, but since you're going to class, which ones are you taking?” Kaeya said as she looked at his paper.
“They gave me basic classes; I plan to talk to them about this,” said Daemon.
“Wow, but you did so well when we were in middle school; you got top grades in our class,” said Kaeya.
“Your memory of that time is failing; it was throughout school,” said Daemon as he sighed at her.
“I can't keep up with all of it, and I was after you for getting good grades,” said Kaeya as she shrugged at him.
“I'll let you slide on that comment for now,” said Daemon as he walked away.
“Hey, wait up!" said Kaeya as she caught up to him.
“Don't you have class? Which one do you have?” Daemon looked at her.
“I will see you there for advanced classes on each subject since you're asking them to change it,” said Kaeya as she headed to class.
“She's so lucky. I'm dealing with a mix-up instead of going to class right away,” said Daemon as he walked towards the office.
“Here's your updated class. You may go now,” said the lady who gave him the new schedule.
“Thanks.” He walked out the door and went to the class he wanted from the beginning.
“Hello, can I see your schedule?" asked the math teacher.
Daemon handed him the paper and waited for the teacher to respond.
“Good. Now, go find an empty seat anywhere; class is starting,” said the math teacher as he wrote on the board.
“Over here, Daemon!” said Kaeya as she pointed to an empty seat beside her.
“Glad you saved a seat for me,” said Daemon as he sat beside her.
“We are cousins after all,” said Kaeya.
“Yes, we are. Do you have plans after school?” Daemon said as he thought of something.
“Nope, I don't, and I guess you're about to tell me your plan,” Kaeya responded.
“Since you are not busy, we're going to make a club; I'll spare you the details for now since we're in class,” said Daemon.
The teacher announced which subject he was going to cover for class. The students all paid attention to what the teacher wrote on the board.
The bell rang, and Daemon and Kaeya walked to their next class. Someone appeared behind them.
“Oh, it's you, or should I say 20th place!” said Kaeya as she laughed at him.
“Keep talking, and you'll see what I plan to do!” the guy said as he got angry.
“How scary! I didn't think you could be so lame!” said Kaeya.
“Now move along; you have no business with us,” said Daemon as he gave off a crimson aura.
“If it's a fight you want, come at me!” the guy said as he tried to provoke him.
“You're a waste of time, and bothering you would make me tired, so have fun fighting someone else,” said Daemon as he waved to the guy.
“Those two cousins can act cocky, but I don't plan to let them succeed!” said the guy angrily as he walked away.
“I'm amazed that guy can't take a hint,” Kaeya said, shaking her head.
“He's mad because he can't beat us. What a shame. My big plan will cause disobedient people to submit to me,” said Daemon.
“Shouldn't you tell me your big plan, or am I just going to have to guess?” Kaeya asked.
She waited for him to respond, but he said she would have to wait along with the others.
“We're going to make a club, and then I'll announce my plan to you and our most trusted friends,” said Daemon.
“I hope you won’t regret this plan in the future," said Kaeya, crossing her arms.
“It will be perfect, you'll see,” said Daemon as he nodded to her.
The day flew by in a flash, much like it had begun.
“Now it's time to get to the clubroom, and everyone will meet there soon,” said Daemon as he opened the rusty door.
“Huh, couldn't you have asked them for a better room? I thought you had standards, Daemon,” said Kaeya as she coughed due to all the dust.
They turned on the lights and saw the room had potential.
“It was difficult even to get a new club to run, so they gave us this super old room, and now we have to deal with it. My soul left me when I saw it, so don't remind me,” said Daemon as he sobbed inside.
“You're not expecting me to clean this alone, right?" said Kaeya as she stared at him disappointedly.
“Hey, Daemon and Kaeya, we can help you,” said the other people Daemon had invited as they arrived.
“Nice to see you show up at last,” said Daemon.
“We’ll collect the essential supplies,” they proclaimed as they departed.
Kaeya stayed behind and waited for them to return.
“We’ll all pitch in on it. We can split the work and make it fair. How does that sound?" said Daemon.
“What work are we splitting?" said Kaeya as she looked around the room.
“I plan on decorating since it's more important than cleaning,” said Daemon, smiling at her.
“Cut the crap. You're technically saying that you’re not going to get your hands dirty; am I right?" said Kaeya.
“We're cousins; I expected you to know me well, Kaeya,” said Daemon, laughing.
“Looks like everyone has arrived and brought cleaning tools,” said Kaeya.
“Well, time is wasting, you guys; this place isn't going to clean itself, now is it?" said Daemon as he left to get the decorations.
“Of course, he would leave just like that. Typical,” said Kaeya.
They got to work making the club room clean and shiny, leaving no spot unclean.
“Whoa, nice job. This place looks good as new,” said Daemon as he brought the decorations into the room.
“Nice for you to suddenly show up just as we finish cleaning,” said Kaeya as she looked at him upset.
“Hey, for your information, I had to pick the best things for this room, so don't get touchy about me taking my sweet time,” said Daemon as he placed his things on the table.
“Oh brother, this will take a while,” said Kaeya as she fell on the floor from exhaustion.
“There's no time to waste. I still need all of you, so get up,” said Daemon.
Everyone looked at each other and fainted from the hard labor they had to go through.
“Not you guys, too. Can't you guys handle doing a bit more work?” said Daemon as he decorated the room the way he liked it.
“Wow, I'm amazed by how you set this room up while we all fell asleep,” Kaeya said as she looked around.
“I can't depend on you, plus I feel that you ruined it anyway. Thanks for sleeping; it made my job easier,” said Daemon as he drank his iced coffee.
“Very funny, but now we need to get back to business. Right, Daemon?” Kaeya said as she nodded at him.
“Almost forgot my big plan; thanks, Kaeya,” said Daemon as he cleared his throat.
Daemon had already set name cards at everyone's seats.
“Now that we have taken our seats, Daemon, go on with your big idea,” said Kaeya as she waited for his big news.
“Before that, why don't we introduce ourselves again,” said Daemon as he stood up to go first.
“My full name is Daemon Yule Astral.”
“My name is Kaeya Stella Astrea.”
“My name is Min Young Mun.”
“Next is me, and my name is Ji-Hu Eui. It's nice to meet you all,” he said, sitting down.
“It seems like I'm the fifth one. My name is Jaw-Long Li, and I am pleased to be in your service,” he said, bowing.
“Sixth is me. My name is Anong Suwan. I'm pretty shy, but I know my way around things,” she nodded to everyone.
“Hi, my name is Chien Thu,” said looking at the next person.
“My name is Thiên hà Le,” as she nodded her head.
“My name is Clover Lilac,” he sat back down.
“Do there seem to be a lot of us here?” Kaeya asked as she looked at the paper.
“Some still need to show up. They'll be here soon,” said Daemon as he heard them approaching the door.
The remaining students appeared and apologized for making everyone wait.
“No worries, you can make it up to everyone by going to your assigned seats and introducing yourself,” said Daemon.
“Hello everyone, nice to meet you all. My name is Ambrose Lupin, and I hope we will all get along,” he said, sitting down.
“It's now my turn. My name is Sylvie Celine,” she said, sitting down.
“My name is Karmaria Ade,” she waved to everyone.
“Azura Cielo, it's a pleasure to meet you all.” She smiled.
“I'm the last one, it seems; well, my name is Sterene Otto.” He bowed to them.
the hidden door, but he managed to open it and walk down the stairs.
It was even bigger and more spacious than the clubroom. Athena managed to finish in time, and they both sat down and pretended to sleep to see what he was up to.
“Are these androids that they made?" said Apophis as he touched their faces to see if they were androids and not people who were sleeping there.
“They feel cold, and their skin feels soft. They don't look like androids. Wow, they made them special,” said Apophis as he looked around.
“If I clear their data on how to make these two, I can ruin all their plans,” said Apophis as he hacked into the system.
Athena and Atlas, along with Artemis, opened their eyes and started attacking him.
“So you were awake, but I can shut you off,” said Apophis as he pressed the button. But before he did, Atlas punched him in the eye and he fell to the ground.
“Ow, that will leave a mark in the morning,” said Apophis as he touched his left eye. He got up and continued trying to delete files on the computer.
“I don't care too much about their data. I have my plans in my mind. I’m going to sabotage their data by erasing it permanently,” said Apophis as he managed to find the folder and delete it right away.
He also deleted their memory of them seeing him and a few of their memories of how to make the other androids.
“Now, my work is finished,” said Apophis as he shut everything off and returned the androids to their places.
He wiped his fingerprints off before leaving the clubroom.
The next day at school, everyone went on with their day, and after school ended, they went to the club.
“Hello, everyone; I hope class went well for you,” said Athena as she bowed to them.
“We don't feel too well; it's like we're missing something,” said Atlas as he looked at them.
“Oh no, everyone, let’s go to the lab,” said Daemon as he rushed down to check the computer. “What the hell? All the data on the Android is gone. Who could have done this?" he got angry.
“It seemed someone was clever enough to delete the data and clear a part of their memory,” said Kaeya.
“Remember you did tell them that they should give anyone who isn't us a black eye,” said Kaeya.
“That should hopefully make it easy to find the culprit,” said Daemon.
“I have something, but I’m not sure whether it can help,” said Athena as she removed the hard drive from her ribbon.
“This is useful, thank you,” said Daemon as he placed the hard drive on the computer to see what it contained.
“It's all of our hard work,” said Ji-Hu as he felt relieved that it was still intact.
“Wow, it's remarkable they saved us from having to redo this from scratch,” said Jaw-long as he hugged them.
The three androids felt relieved that they were not mad at them.
“You're not to blame. I didn't anticipate this to happen like this, but the function for your off button will have all the members' voices as input, so this won't happen again,” said Daemon.
“I’ll go see who did this and give them a piece of my mind,” said Kaeya as she rushed out to find the person who caused the mess. She looked around to see if anyone was injured but couldn't find anyone meeting the description.
“Wait a minute. If they're not here, that means they could be in the nurse's office resting,” said Kaeya as she got there as fast as she could.
“What's wrong? Are you also not feeling well?” the nurse looked at her.
“What do you mean? Is there someone else here?" said Kaeya as she looked at the nurse.
“It seems like everyone is getting hurt today,” the nurse said as she gave Kaeya a form to fill out.
“Oh, so it’s a headache. Go and lie down on the other side since someone’s already taken that spot.” She pointed at the empty spot. When the nurse wasn't paying attention, she opened the curtain to see Apophis lying down with an ice pack over his eye.
