Chapter 1:
The legend of m3dus@ hacker version
I wake up in my dorm, light filtering through the window curtains. I check my phone, missed messages from Silas, Sable Cadler (My mentor), Jax, and Viper. I glare at my phone and set it down before sitting up I see my reflection in the mirror; my pink and blue hair is everywhere but settled, my wide blue eyes have bags under them, and my colorful makeup was smeared down my cheek.
“Fuck, not again,” I say, standing up. I was wearing fishnet stockings, a black mini skirt, and a crop top that barely covered anything. I had snuck out the night before to go partying and now I had to pay the price.
I walk into the bathroom and strip off my clothes. I had a long bruise on my stomach, the shape of a baseball bat. I let out a sigh as the warm water hit my body. Neon pink and blue makeup dripped down my face. Once I was finished, I wrapped myself in a towel, reapplied my makeup, and put on my uniform. Of course, I changed it a bit to my style. I put on the skirt with the pink and blue lining and put on my top, a once white shirt now with different colors from spray paint, and a personal jacket that said on the back, Eclipse Network.
I turned on the hologram in my room to check the time while packing my bag with the books I'll need today, not that I’ll be in class. It was 8:35 A.m., and I was late for homeroom. I grinned, but then the time changed to my principal requesting a video meeting, as I expected. Her old wrinkly face and grey hair show up on my screen.
” Why aren’t you in CLASS?”I hear her yell. “Miss, can we not right now? I'm hungover and all in all just feel like shit, and I was sleeping.” I say, unplugging my phone and grabbing the head console that I’ll need for class. “If you're late or skip class again, the school will have to expel you,” she says, with a small smirk on her face. “Oh no, the horror, I think I’ll die,” I say, sarcastically. I was hoping that she would expel me right now, but I could wait till tomorrow to leave.
“Yes, ma'am, it won’t happen again.” I watch the principal's hologram sigh, “I hope not wrin.”
