Chapter 15:
Infinite Sharing System: Cultivating With My Sister In The Apocalypse
The drake was once whole, but after Yuelan's reawakening, she gobbled up 80% of the drake, only leaving a small portion for Xuan to enjoy.
She didn't say a word as she took one final gulp, chomping the food down, and then she simply collapsed backward, falling asleep.
"..."
I guess she was a bit hungry?
On a more positive note, it seemed like she had succeeded.
<Xiao Yuelan - First Level Spirit Warrior>
He wasn't going to bother her while she slept, so instead, Xuan decided to focus on something else entirely.
His Basic Void Fist was strong, and passing by defenses was very overpowered, but the lack of strength from only 5,000 Void Qi was clear.
Xuan killed it pretty easily, but with more Void Qi, he would've been able to do much more.
Therefore, he stood up, covered his fists in Void Qi, and began training.
.
.
.
Twelve hours had passed, and finally, Xuan had achieved what he sought out.
—
<Basic Void Fist>
<Rank: Spirit>
<Mastery Level: 1 → 2>
<Description: Consumes 5,000 → 50,000 Void Qi. Must not have any weapons in hand to activate. Infuses your fists with Void Qi. A special technique that bypasses most defenses.>
—
Finally, Xuan thought with a sigh as he went over to eat some food.
But it seemed like Yuelan had woken up and was now eating again.
He walked to her and placed a hand over her head.
<You have shared your skills!>
<Xiao Yuelan has received: Basic Void Fist (Upgrade), Winged Steps - First Form>
"Thanksh," Yuelan said, stuffing her face until eventually she finished everything they had.
She stood up and dusted herself off, then placed a hand over his head as well, giving him some of her skills.
And safe to say, he was a little surprised.
<Xiao Yuelan has shared the skills: Basic Swordsmanship (Upgrade), Basic Sword Slash (Upgrade), Basic Swordsmanship of the Moonpiercing Saintess>
Two upgrades and a new skill? Xuan mused, checking them out right away.
—
<Basic Sword Slash>
<Rank: Mortal>
<Mastery Level: 4 → 10 (MAX)>
<Description: Consumes 1,000,000 → 500,000,000 Qi. Must wield sword to activate. Infuses your sword slash with Qi.>
—
<Basic Swordsmanship>
<Rank: Mortal>
<Mastery Level: 4 → 10 (MAX)>
<Description: Permanently enhances your accuracy with the sword. Greatly increases sharpness. Hitting weak points deals significantly more damage. No activation required.>
—
<Basic Swordsmanship of the Moonpiercing Saintess>
<Rank: Divine>
<Mastery Level: 1>
<Description: The foundational sword style of the legendary Moonpiercing Saintess. Your swordplay becomes graceful, silent, and lethally precise. Each strike aligns with celestial rhythm, enhancing fluidity and critical impact. Its effects are enhanced when in direct moonlight. No activation required.>
—
"Yuelan... what the fuck?" Xuan mumbled. "You weren't really going through a tribulation in there, were you?"
She shrugged.
"I had a special trial where I had to practice my skills to perfection... You spent all your time cultivating?" Yuelan asked disapprovingly.
Xuan let out a sigh.
"I realize now that it might've been a bad idea. But oh well... that's water under the bridge now."
He chuckled, ruffling her hair.
"Want to take your new powers out for a spin?" he asked as he handed her a new sword and even some armor.
Her eyes lit up as she accepted the items, tested her sword, and the two finally set out for the city.
It took them less than a minute to arrive, and of course, many monsters came into view in the outskirts.
One such monster was a much larger and stronger-looking lizardman.
Xuan grinned, then Swift Stepped over to a monster and infused his fists with Void Qi.
Before the monster could even realize what was happening, its head was blown clean off.
<Second Level Spirit Warrior - Evolved Lizardman slain>
<+400 Void Qi | 678,511 / 1,000,000>
He felt confident in his strength, yet when he turned toward Yuelan, he realized she had sliced the necks of 15 lizardmen in a single swing.
It was so swift and precise that they didn't even realize they were cut.
But when he saw the little amount of Qi surrounding her sword, he was puzzled.
"How can you even use Basic Sword Slash? Don't you need 500,000,000 Qi to even activate it?"
Yuelan tilted her head. "You still haven't figured out how to control the output?"
"...No?"
The monsters beside her suddenly fell, and the moment they did, she approached.
"The consumption is like a slider," Yuelan explained, bringing her sword forward and covering it in Qi.
"When you activate the skill, the Qi begins spurting out all at once. That's usually how it goes, right?" Yuelan asked, and he nodded.
With that, she continued. "So instead of directly activating the skill, why don't you think of it as a tutorial? Basically... it shows you how it's done, and from there, you simply copy it."
"...Copy it?"
Yuelan grumbled, putting her sword away and extending her fists.
Qi covered her fists and began fluctuating.
A few hundred points of Qi, then a few thousand.
It was clear she was manipulating the amount on the spot.
Yet the Qi never exceeded a certain threshold.
And as if sensing his thoughts, Yuelan soon explained.
"Raising a skill's mastery lets you channel more Qi into it. So let's say I have 500,000,000 Qi, but the skill I got consumes only 5,000 Qi. Until you raise the skill's level, you'd only be able to use a maximum of 5,000 Qi, no matter how much you actually have."
She turned to him, her expression slightly exhausted.
"Do you understand now, big brother?"
"I do," Xuan affirmed with a determined look. "So what about Swift Step? Can I—"
Before he could even finish his words, Yuelan instantly dashed forward 25 meters.
Then, she moved back in small bursts of speed, 3 meters, 4 meters, 7 meters, until eventually she was back beside him.
"Yes. As long as you learn to control Qi itself, you'll be able to use your skills to their full potential."
The moment she finished speaking, Xuan let out a sigh.
"You really did become a sage after 5 months, didn't you?"
Yuelan pouted.
"Stupid big brother..."
Xuan ruffled her hair with a smile, then subtly brought his gaze over to a building in the distance.
It felt like someone was watching him, but then the feeling suddenly vanished.
Still, his gaze didn't wane as he continued staring at the building.
"Yuelan... what do you say we do a little home inspection?"
