Chapter 34:
Summoned as a Hero?! But I’m Actually the Demon King!
A deadly silence fell over the battlefield. Leonix's body lay motionless on the blood-stained snow. Lady Benimaru's healing magic was powerless against the fatal wound. Seraphine hugged his body, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.
Suddenly, Benimaru's voice, full of authority, broke the silence. "There is another way."
Everyone turned to her, their eyes filled with hope.
"There is a power that can reverse time, returning to the moment before the tragedy occurred," she continued. "But it requires two souls with a strong bond and immense magical energy. Only the two of you can do it," she said, pointing to Shion and Natalia.
Shion and Natalia nodded without hesitation. "We are ready," they said in unison.
Benimaru smiled. She gave them a small Ginga Stone. "Combine this stone with Leon's Orb Calibur Sword."
As they did so, the stone glowed and a sword hilt with a glowing tip appeared. "Give this to Leon," Benimaru said, her eyes full of meaning. "He will know how to use it. This is his father's legacy."
The words shocked everyone. Leonix's father's legacy? Lady Benimaru looked at them. "This is the combined power of the light of hope and the light of life."
Shion and Natalia felt a great energy envelop them. In an instant, they disappeared, returning to the past.
The Turning of Time and a Hero's AwakeningThey returned just as they were fighting Lux. Leonix was hovering beside them, just like before. They watched Lux, who looked like Leonix, begin to introduce himself as his younger brother, Lux.
"So that's it? My brother Leon is here? Then this is the perfect moment to kill that bastard!" Lux yelled, his cold laugh echoing.
"What?! Impossible! You're Leon's sibling?" Shion and Natalia asked with a tone that already knew the answer.
At that moment, Shion saw her chance. She grabbed the sword hilt from Benimaru and threw it to Leonix. "Take this! It will be very useful to you later!" she cried with a sincere smile.
Leonix caught the hilt, surprised. The object glowed in his hand, as if it knew who its true owner was.
"Damn it!" Lux snarled angrily. "How do you have the sword hilt that my mother had? How dare a bastard like you possess that!"
Leonix didn't understand, but he felt a strong connection to the hilt. "I don't know what this thing means," Leonix said, his eyes glowing red. "All I know is, it has chosen me!"
He raised his sword, the Orb Calibur Magnificient, and performed a Fusion Up with the hilt. Suddenly, a blinding light enveloped everyone, including Lux.
"So that's it? You once served my father, Yosh?" Leonix muttered, his eyes sparkling. He felt a new, incredible power. "I will borrow the power of light!"
Leonix's body was surrounded by light. His form changed into the Ancient Crystal Armor, a magnificent, shimmering crystal armor. His weapon, the Circle Caliber, spun in his hand. Lady Benimaru, watching from a distance, was shocked, remembering perfectly. "Just like Arthur..." she whispered.
The Battle TurnsLeonix, in his Ancient Crystal Armor, flew forward. "So, this is what that warm light feels like?" He fought Lux with a much greater advantage.
"Damn it! How can a bastard like you use a Demi-God Form?!" Lux was furious. He took out his Dark Orb Magnificient and tried to activate an Orb Slash, but Leonix was faster. With incredible speed, he managed to throw his brother's sword away.
Leonix beat his brother mercilessly. Then, he activated Multi Type Mode and Glitter. "Hyper Hurricane Mega Slash!" he yelled. The powerful attack defeated his brother. The entire forest around Draugwyn was leveled, turning into a vast field covered in snow.
The townspeople who witnessed it couldn't believe it. The power they saw was very similar to that of their gods. "He is a true hero!" they cheered, feeling a sense of victory as the threat was overcome.
Seraphine and Layla celebrated the victory happily, though they didn't fully understand what had just happened. Suddenly, tears flowed down Seraphine's face, as if the memory of the tragic future was telling her that the present Leonix had succeeded in destroying the threat. Shion, Natalia, Benimaru, and Luna smiled.
But Leonix was not smiling. He went to his brother, who was still alive. "Why did you do this?" he asked. His brother remained silent, until Leonix healed him. He still didn't speak until he finally told his motive, which was filled with hatred.
"I did all of this only for recognition from my Father, Oberon," he whispered, his voice filled with bitterness. "He never paid me any attention, and before she disappeared, my mother would always talk about her brother. I never met my brother, but I was so angry with my mother who kept asking me to find him. Until my mother disappeared without a trace. I was sure my mother was killed by Oberon, and all because she kept waiting for you... I hate you."
Leonix's heart sank. He held out his hand to Lux. "I understand," he said softly. "But... I was abandoned on a beach. I was raised by a Demon General whom I considered my uncle, until I was chosen to be the Demon King. I feel so familiar with this world. As if I've been here a long time ago."
They began to understand each other. Lux remained determined to find their mother, no matter what. Leonix also finally had a goal. He wanted to find his father and mother as well.
They made peace. Lux stopped using the name Belial. Leonix returned to the city, pretending to be sad and saying that Lux was gone. In the forest, Lux changed his form into a woman, but his face remained the same as his brother's. From there, they parted ways, but with the same goal: to find their parents.
The Start of a New AdventureThat night, Leonix was invited by the Elf and Dwarf elders. They wanted to ask him how he obtained such extraordinary power. Leonix chose to remain silent, keeping the secret.
The next morning, The Radiant Six prepared to leave the city. At the door of the inn, Eirael Lunaris, Florence, and Lady Benimaru were waiting for them. Eirael, who had been full of hatred, now looked at Leonix with respect. She begged to join Leonix's party, apologizing for all her prejudice. She even offered her body, but of course, the MC refused.
"Alright, I agree," Leonix finally said. "But you have to promise to be useful to this party."
Eirael smiled. "Of course, I will prove it, Lord Leon."
Officially, she joined and began to adventure with Leonix and his party.
On the other side, Oberon, who was furious at Belial's failure, decided to take matters into his own hands. "There is no one else I can rely on," he muttered, his eyes glowing. "I will attack this world myself... including Lux who has betrayed me."
