Chapter 42:
The Devourer of Destiny
This is about someone born from the hopes of many people in the world, born as a boy with bright yellow hair. Those hopes then gathered in the Void World.
After being born from the great hopes of people for a decent life in the lawless Void World, he began to seek knowledge for himself and for the world itself. He started by carving thousands of magic formations, forming power from the body and soul of a magical core, strengthening his physique, learning how to plant and care for every living thing, and of course, also realizing the existence of a law of the jungle in nature. He did this for hundreds of thousands to millions of years until his character was fully formed.
Then, he accidentally made a mark on the ground with a twig, which made him want to write and start reading letters. The vagrant people he met then learned all his knowledge, which began to spread to various parts of the world.
The Void World began to learn about ethics, but some also misused that knowledge, which created violence, slavery, and many forms of oppression against the weak.
That person started to create an Authority and power to control the people who were misusing all his knowledge, but as power and Authority came to dominate, crime spread even more, though secretly.
The hopes of the people and all living things in the Void World increased, and that person began to feel a deep hatred and pain. He fell into a hatred that changed his appearance from one that looked like a saint to that of a heretic with an all-black appearance.
On that day, his suffering began as a slave, trodden upon by the very authority he had created. However, he never expected that a glimmer of kindness he had once taught someone would now turn back to him. Someone rescued him from slavery and even cared for him until they lived together, depending on one another.
At first, his savior thought he was stupid, but when he showed his genius, the savior was very amazed. At that time, he showed a little of an ancient language that contained a strange sealing spell; he felt the letters bothered him a little, so he tore and burned them to feel comfortable. All the knowledge he had about various things made the savior greatly admire him. It was then that he called himself Eden, pointing to the sky. That is the origin of the name for the Sky World.
"Why did you tear it?" The person immediately gathered the pieces of paper with the strange letters, as if they were a precious thing.
"It's not important, Zia."
"No, this might be important for me to become a god later. I'll take it."
Together with his savior, they formed an authority, a kingdom in the Western Region. At that time, Eden did lead it, but over time, a figure wiser than a low-class person replaced him. Although reluctant, he accepted Eden's suggestion and order.
He managed subordinates, strictly forbade crime and many harmful things, and gave jobs in farming to many people. The lives of the people, with regard to clothing, food, and shelter, began to run quite smoothly, until the kingdom became known as the Kingdom of Murcia and began to be visited by many people.
As time went on, Eden learned art, and the foundation for construction was formed, which made for a more proper royal palace. This included houses and many other things, things he thought of after seeing a dwarf rub wood against rocks to make a fire. And also a tool like a knife and many other things.
Although his appearance didn't change, his nature remained good, but his heart felt uncomfortable every time it beat fast. He lay down weakly and felt there was an unspoken hope, which was for medicine. Some people were afflicted with disease, and at that time, Eden could only cure them with his own blood. But as time went on, they became addicted and caused him a deep trauma.
His savior, his friend who claimed he wanted to be a god, helped him.
A thousand years passed, and the Sky World had been divided into several regions, each with its own leader. Eden, who had been sleeping all this time, made his power more mature and increasingly felt all things in the world and realized he existed for something. Now he began to feel the presence of other, different figures, which people called Gods.
Suddenly, Eden was targeted by them because of this. The Void World, which was destined to be destroyed, instead became so peaceful. A handful of Gods, whom people called immortal and strong, hunted for Eden's life so that the Void World would remain a garbage heap, as the world and its contents were destined to be destroyed.
They thought that once the Devourer of Destiny awakened, it would endanger the three realms. And Eden was the figure they were referring to.
But the Gods, of course, couldn't interfere with worldly affairs, so they decided to use Zia. Under the pretext of saying the world would be peaceful "if Eden died," he didn't even hesitate to kill him. Especially after being enticed with becoming a god.
This was the first time he felt betrayed by his own friend. However, he had already been betrayed dozens of times by something he had created himself. The butcher knife used to cut game became the weapon that pierced his body.
(This is the beginning of the enmity between the Gods and the figure of the Devourer of Destiny, who is able to change destiny and even control all things in the world.)
However, the Gods never expected that the grudge would continue to take root for tens of thousands of years. Every time he appeared with his full power and his memories fully recovered and awakened, the sky would turn red and a red full moon would appear, as if the world was also angry.
The dead Eden would rise again. That was the first time the Devourer of Destiny had died. Then the second time, he died at the hands of God Zia after trying to seal him with the ancient letters that Eden himself had once shown him.
Every time he appeared, he would immediately be hunted down and killed. It was a constant cycle.
Six thousand years later, he died at the hands of the Demon Azazel. Five thousand years later—after dying dozens of times at the hands of the Angel Race, the Archangels. Two thousand years later, in the Northwestern city—he was killed by the people in the city and Zia.
Then one thousand years later in the Foreign Land, he died indirectly at the hands of Zia. And, 90 years later in the Northern Region, he was killed at the hands of Zia with the help of the Nephilim. Then five years later, a similar thing happened.
The time of his appearance or birth became faster and faster, making his power stronger. At the same time, they began to recognize the characteristics of the Devourer of Destiny, thanks to the curse Zia gave him which became clearer and more noticeable.
The Gods then decided to hunt him before his full awakening, and he was found 4,000 years ago around the Southeastern Region, the City of Gurkha, and the City of Night.
Even at the age of five, he died in the Eastern Region, the Red Sea, even though he was protected by someone.
The Sky World had reached the age of 20,015,095 years. In that year, the figure of the Devourer of Destiny was not found anywhere, and his unpredictable nature made the Gods struggle. They had not met him again; they had only heard rumors.
He who had always appeared repeatedly in the Sky World was now born from a mother's womb for the first time, and he was not born from the Sky World but from the old world—the place where the ancient spell that was his threat and that was now inside his body originated.
