Chapter 10:
UNLEASH : THE GOD OF EMOTIONS
The Solaris Palace was drowning in chaos. Nobles ran through the halls, leaders shouted over each other, the king’s panicked voice cracked as he demanded answers. Outside, the streets were no calmer—people rushed in every direction, mothers pulling children close, fathers bolting doors. Fear swallowed the city until not even a whisper could be heard.
Far away, Master stood with his army. His voice roared over the silence.
Master: “Heeeyyy! Run back as far as possible!”
The soldiers froze in confusion, but then noticed a trail of ants at their feet, scattering in the opposite direction, running for their lives.
Master: “MOVE!”
The army obeyed instantly, sprinting away in all directions. Even the demons pulled back. But one soldier was too late.
A heavy voice cut through the air.
Voice: “UNLEASH… 10 percent aura.”
Purple energy burst out of Master’s body. Trees dissolved into black particles, drifting away without a sound. The late soldier screamed as his armor began to melt from his back.
Soldier: “AAAHHHH!”
Love rushed to him, tearing the armor apart with a sharp crack.
Love: “Hold still!”
The soldier collapsed, safe but shaken. Master’s fist was raised high, ready to shatter the massive green hemisphere wall in front of him—until a hand caught his punch midair.
The strange man stood before him.
Strange Man: “Hey kid… I want your demons.”
Master: (snapping coldly) “Leash.”
The aura vanished instantly. Master’s eyes widened.
Master: “W-what the hell?! Why are you here?! And why would I give you my demons?!”
The man dug a finger into his ear, speaking casually.
Strange Man: “Because if you keep relying on them, you’ll never grow. I want four of them. Joy, Love, Strength, and Rage.”
Master: (sarcastic, shouting) “WHAT?! Never!”
The man’s stare hardened, his tone cutting through Master like a blade.
Strange Man: “Are you sure? Don’t you think I can defeat you… and take them easily?”
Master’s hand trembled as he remembered the crushing grip from before, the moment his hand went numb and useless.
Master: “…When will I get them back?”
Strange Man: “As soon as you’re worthy enough.”
Joy: “Master! You can simply de-summon us!”
Master: (to the man) “Is that true?”
Strange Man: “Yes. But if you summon them before I give permission… you will die instantly.”
Master: (after a pause) “…Fine.”
A glowing notification appeared before his eyes.
OBJECTIVE 2 FOUND — Free the 4 Demons
Master exhaled slowly, then de-summoned Joy, Love, Strength, and Rage into shimmering aura particles. The strange man turned and left without another word.
The soldiers were frozen in awe, staring at the holy wall. One soldier’s voice cracked as he spoke.
Soldier: “This wall… it hasn’t been broken in four thousand six hundred seventy centuries… right?”
Master: “Yes. So what?”
He raised his fist again. A sharp crack split the air.
CRRKK—THUKK!
The wall shattered like fragile glass, its fragments fading before touching the ground.
Above the clouds, the strange man stood face to face with the cloud man.
Cloud Man: “Huh? What the hell have you done? You were supposed to take his demons. And tell me, how will you ‘instantly kill him’ if he summons them again?”
Strange Man: (snarling, coughing blood) “Shut the hell up! Don’t you see his aura? It’s sharp enough to tear the world apart! Why do you want me to do everything for you?!”
Blood poured from his mouth as his body shook.
Cloud Man: “Okay, okay… sorry. You can go now.”
Strange Man: (furious) “Am I your servant?! Why am I even helping you?!”
He leapt down from the clouds, his landing collapsing an entire mountain beneath him.
Down below, the same soldier who had spoken before stared at the destruction.
Soldier: “Th-this time… it was surely a meteor!”
Commander: “Can you SHUT UP already?!”
The army pressed on into the city. Windows slammed shut as terrified faces pulled back. Parents dragged children away from the streets. Fear hung over every home.
At last, Master and his company stood at the palace gates. Waiting for them was the masked elite tutor of the royal family, wooden sword in hand, and beside him—the fourteen-year-old prince.
