Chapter 38: The Bloodline

The joy of victory over Oberon was instantly replaced by a tense silence. In the middle of the leveled field, two figures faced each other. Leonix and Lux, siblings bound by fate, prepared for the final battle. The ground shook with every step and attack. Leonix tried not to use his overwhelming power on his brother.

"Why? Are you afraid to use that divine power on me, Leon?" Lux tried to provoke Leonix.

"I'm sorry," Leonix replied, his tone cold. "I don't want anyone else to get hurt because of our fight."

However, he knew there was no other way. He activated his power. The Orb Calibur Magnificient in his hand transformed into a shimmering silver color. His body was enveloped in his True Form, a black and blue True Form Armor, complete with a graceful light blue cape. His eyes glowed, filled with determination.

"This time," Leonix said, "I will fight you seriously, Lux!"

WHIIIING! FWOOSH!

The battle erupted again. Shion, Natalia, and Sylvie watched from a distance, screaming. "YOU TWO STOP FIGHTING! YOU MIGHT LEVEL THE CITY!" Shion yelled.

Natalia and Sylvie nodded in agreement. "Shion, we have to stop this fight or innocent people will be affected!" They tried to get closer, but the energy waves from the fight pushed them back.

Leonix and Lux attacked each other. They were so fast that only flashes of light and shadow could be seen. When they were knocked apart, their eyes met. They yelled at each other, as if they already knew that whoever died would be the loser. This was no longer about revenge, but about recognition.

Suddenly, a blinding white light descended from the sky, separating them with a deafening explosion.

BOOOOOM!

When the smoke cleared, Arthur and Emmy Nelson appeared between them, standing calmly. "Thank goodness we were on time, before the bloodshed between siblings continued!" Emmy said, her voice filled with relief.

Leonix, who had just gotten up, looked at his parents in disbelief. "Mom? Dad? What are you doing here? Don't you see I was fighting?!"

On the other side, Lux saw the woman he had missed so much. His eyes widened, tears flowing down his cheeks. "Mom?" he whispered. He couldn't believe the person he had missed was now standing in front of him. Without hesitation, Lux immediately ran and hugged his mother tightly.

Arthur laughed happily at his two children. "Fighting? The two of you are like kids fighting over a toy, aren't you?"

Shion, who witnessed the scene, was stunned. The figure of the First Hero... he was truly Leonix's father. She could only stand there in awe.

The fight officially stopped. Leonix slowly sheathed his sword. Arthur walked closer and patted Leonix's shoulder. "Your mission is finally complete, son. Your father is so proud of you, Leon."

At once, all of Leonix's party members—Seraphine, Layla, Natalia, Danny, Lilyan, and Luna—approached them, their faces filled with relief. Even Kafka, who was known for being cold, paid her respects to Arthur.

Arthur then invited Leonix to move to their world, a world without war and magic, only peace. However, Leonix refused.

"I can't, Dad," he said. "I still have unfinished business in this world." He turned to Emmy. "Mom, if you can, please take Lux with you."

Lux looked at Leonix, surprised. Leonix smiled. "Go, Lux. This world will never give you the peace you're looking for."

Hearing Leonix's decision, his party members, who were sad just a moment ago, now cheered with joy. They didn't have to part. Leonix gave them all a sincere smile. He promised his parents that he would follow later, after all the mysteries were solved.

With a proud smile and happy tears, Arthur and Emmy left, taking Lux with them.

For Leonix, this was where his new adventure began. He was no longer just a summoned person, but one with a purpose. There were many mysteries yet to be revealed in this world, and he promised to solve them.
