[Fanfic] Tales Untold: Known A Few

(This story picked up after the end of the Marvel Mosaic comic, but without the prelude story.)
I sometimes wondered why I even have this life.
Sure, I was given this power.
I got my deserved revenge.
I got to meet the Inhumans, and they even considered me as their family.
I even went head-to-head in my first major fight.
"You're asking me what you should do next?"
"No, Fife. I'm asking you what you would do if you had my power after all of the chaos you went through in my foot?"
"Well, I don't know. I didn't even know how to process things the time you possessed me, how would I know when I was the one possessing someone?"
In that moment, I was thinking,
Perhaps I should try to help those in need.
"Hey, Fife. What do you think if I become... a hero?"
"That would be great, Doug!"
"Serious?"
"Dead serious. You had the power, and you defeated a villain. Why not try, right?"
"..."
It was tempting, but I have to remember that all of these things were an accident. I never supposed to be this... thing.
Fife was right. I had the power, and I have proven I'm capable of being a hero. So...
Why don't I try?
"Fife. Thanks, bud. Sorry for always dragging you into my mess."
"As long as you went overboard, I'm cool."
"I'll be on my way. Bye for now."
"See you!"
I drifted myself out of Fife's sight and flew into the air. The world was at peace, and nothing had happened. I might be exaggerating, but I think the "job" that I have chosen will be hard.
Again, I never thought I would have this power. It was all pure coincidence.
"Maybe I should visit SHIELD headquarters? They might have some intel on the current criminal activity."
But that also sparked an idea.
"Hmm... I never thought about it... but... Yeah, maybe I should try that first before I go on this superhero business."
I flew around town to search for someone. I didn't know who, but I had to find someone.
In a split second, my head remembered someone from Spider-Man's memories.
"Agent Trench..."
I didn't know why he was on my head, but I was glad the memory occurred in my mind.
"He's on vacation. I might find him if I go towards the north."
It felt strange flying in the sky again. The wind didn't affect me; it went through me. The light didn't touch my skin; I didn't even feel it. It felt like I'm empty inside-out. Your Majesty was right, I'm a new being. I have to accept that I'm...
MOSAIC.
...
A couple of kilometers away from where I'm starting flying, I finally reached my destination. Judging by the current state of the surroundings, seemed like Amos had already left his spot.
"I might be too late... but it's still evening. His flight usually goes at midnight. I might be able to catch him if I'm quick."
I flew back up quickly and drifted to a nearby taxi spot. There, I saw a woman, a man, and the person I was looking for, wearing a black jacket and a beanie.
"Nice! Thanks for the information, Spider-Man. Lucky me that you remember almost every person in SHIELD."
With a quick dive inside Amos, I searched inside his head in a minute.
"A secret bunker? Huh... That's actually pretty nice. Even "he" is there. This might be an easy... ride, then."
About fifteen minutes passed, and the man and the woman got their ride; it was time for me to get mine. I asked the taxi to take me to a certain grocery store, and when I arrived in about twenty minutes, it was ten past seven.
Upon reaching the front of the shop, I gave the guy a code, and he opened the door.
"You're lucky we're still open."
"Not as lucky as Charlie Bucket. He got the glass."
I responded as naturally as Amos did, and it worked. It sounded like they didn't expect a thing.
"If it's the hard stuff, gotta see some ID."
"I just need some rest."
I also responded to the code and finally reached the elevator. Upon going down the elevator, I scanned my eyes, my hand, and my ID card. They really had high security here. It's a good thing I was Agent Trench; it would have been the end of me if I were someone else.
The elevator door opened, and I met with Agent Boyle upon stepping out of the elevator.
"Hey, Amos. Thought you were on vacation."
"Cut it short. Miss you guys too much. Is there any job that I could help you guys with?"
"Sure."
She looked suspicious. Was I not convincing enough?
"Daisy needs some guidance. You could help her a bit."
"Sure."
I walked toward the woman Agent Boyle pointed at and asked, "Need help with something, Daisy?"
She looked at me and immediately asked, "Amos? Your vacation didn't go well, huh?"
"What could I say? It was not really great. Plus, I missed you guys."
She looked the same as Boyle when I said "miss you guys". I guess I should've figured. I looked through Amos' memories and couldn't find any memory of him missing anyone in the base.
"Am I sounding weird? Why did you look at me like that, Daisy?"
"... I guess?"
"You guess?"
"You never missed anyone here. I mean, I would understand if you missed Agent Ranzack, but us?"
I suppose I just blew my cover. Might as well, right?
"You are an intelligent one, Agent Daisy."
And just like that, I hopped into Agent Daisy's body, but...
"Ughhh, what? What is happening? My head... Dai... sy... head!"
I surged into Daisy's mind and found out that...
No, I found many things. Things that I wasn't supposed to see, to know.
"I'm... UUUUAAAGGGGHHH!"
After that, I got pushed out of her body and flung outside the wall.
"She... She's one of us?"
I floated and thought about what just happened. Before I got my thoughts around, I heard people gathering behind the wall.
"I should keep going. No need to make a scene after that one."
I flew away and began to grasp the reality. I was thinking of reporting to Your ..., but I resisted. I didn't have the guts to talk about it with her. It felt real for a second. I mean, really... real. I don't know what she was, but I won't be inside her again. That's for sure.
"That didn't go to plan. Maybe I should just be ready to do a hero thing."
...
"Or talk more with Fife. I know he knows what I need to do."
