Shoichiro Kusagi has always lived a harsh life living in the slums of society in Tokyo, along with his Mother, Sakura, and his younger siblings, Hibiki and Saikuji. His two sisters two days younger than him. For them, they’ve lived a pretty relative, normal, yet harsh life in the streets by living in a slightly run down home, but they ultimately fare well. All of which would lead to a crazy situation that involves a night of drinking happily and getting it on in a Hotel room afterwards. But even after all of that, life goes on for Sakura regardless. However, on one fateful day, tragedy would seemingly strike her unexpectedly when she got caught up in a car crash after nearly passing out on the wheel while driving back home to her family. Miraculously, she would survive, though she would end up in a coma for several months, but the real trouble of the whole ordeal is the fact that Sakura is currently pregnant with a new baby girl. And it seems as though with their current financial situation, Shoichiro might not be able to do anything to help his mother out this time. But then, without so much as a warning that same old man who’s revealed to revealed to Yamato Shirasaki would appear to Sakura’s hospital and in front of a live TV Audience would pronounce his marriage to Sakura Kusagi without ever so much as a hesitation on the matter. Surprisingly, it would be for two reasons: one is to repay her for her act of kindness in helping with his financial business decisions, and two, was because that he was dying of Terminal Cancer and would soon die in less than six months.
