Chapter 29:
I Was An Office Worker Till I Was The Hero!?
I'm sorry dear readers...I promised to have an intermission before the final battle. At least I think I did. No matter, my memory is starting to finally have issues but I'm glad it only became a problem near the end of my life. Anyways, this is it. The climax. The last chapter soon approaches so I'll keep this very brief.
When we felled both Slain and his creation, we had won the big battle. We'd escape together, that was made possible thanks to Mateo who had begun to dabble more and more with teleportation. I'd always remind him that honestly, he was a genius. It didn't happen right away, we were stuck in that castle for a few days. Luckily, Slain had some supplies and beds so we weren't in any danger of dying from hunger or exhaustion. Mateo would finally make a device that would allow us to return to the mountain where we last were and that was a big moment. We hugged, we cheered and then we made a pact. Our mission wasn't over. Armata needed a hero now more than ever. I couldn't create like Slain nor could Mateo in the same way but we could help bring about the recreation of the world slowly and surely. We'd do this for...honestly years. Going from town to town talking with folks, giving them SOULS and the drive needed to make their own way. Cities became more lively, hunters formed in almost everyone and made it their mission to hunt for supplies. It took years of going from place to place but we stayed together.
The final chapter...I'll go into the last of our big missions there and what would happen. I never thought of doing this but yes I will have a time skip...kind of necessary. I hope this story gave you some joy though. In all truth, I hope this story reaches someone and shows them there are so many other places out there. This is my final message to you all. The final chapter is going to end my story fully...then it will be up to our smartest party member to do something incredible.
Ohhh and let me not lose my mind just yet, did you solve the secret of the titles? Last hint, the first letter of the first word per chapter...means something I promise! Now then...I don't know who you are reading this or how many are partaking in my adventure but I love you for giving me this final means of telling my tale...Now then, onto the finale.
By the way, this isn't dad speaking at the moment. I'm his daughter, Ada. I've been the one writing his story! He's asleep at the moment, he needed some rest. He's truly living on borrowed time now. Any who, thank you for reading the story hope you enjoy the last chapter! Maybe I'll make my own story one day as a spin-off! Dad always said those are popular in his world. Sounds like fun to me!
