Tyler Soles knew he didn't have the most amazing family, but at the same time he couldn't say his family was awful either. It was just him and his parents -Melissa, a Part timer at the local supermarket, and Jason, A computer programmer- but it was peaceful, his parents were overall quite happy with their life and marriage so he very rarely had to deal with the arguing and yelling he'd come to learn all his friends dealt with from their parents. For the most part Tyler was left to his own devices and free to roam his wooded back yard without disruption until his mother decided it was time for him to eat or drink something, a fact that Tyler himself considered a luxury despite his classmates insisting it was neglect. Tyler wasn't neglected, his parents asked about his day and struck up conversations with him when they had time, he received affection when he actually wanted to and of course his well being was well maintained -Plus they bought him unnecessary stuff whenever he asked for something he saw that he really wanted- No it wasn't neglect; he was simply left to entertain himself as he liked. He hoists himself into a particularly interesting tree that sat at the edge of the woods, it'd been there since he was a little kid, and he enjoyed climbing it. Speaking of his parents, because of his father's computer programming job Tyler had earned the nickname Tib which his father explained was a unit of memory called a Tebibyte which was equivalent to 1024 gigabytes -Tyler later discovered that it was also an abbreviation for a medical term that referred to behavior that interfered with therapy but considering his father specifically mentioned the computer definition he chose to disregard the medical definition.- Memory.... Tyler leans back against the tree; did all things have memory? Did this tree remember things? He closes his eyes, feeling a little drowsy; How did a tree remember things? Thoughts and images of a tree with memories floated through his head as he dozed off in the shade of the tree.
