THE HOUR UPON AWAKENING

The battle goes on. As the squad responsible for long-ranged weapons set up the cannons , the main one they set was given by Rukito. The first shot was fired at the approaching soldiers coming through the tears in space as they became bigger and bigger. The weapon was indeed powerful, delivering a massive magical strike that destroyed all the soldiers in the ray of light. Other weapons were good but not as good as this. The longer the battle drags on, the more soldiers seem to come.       

The procedure of combining a realm with a planet is not straightforward. The area was a tiny domain that was separated by the elven king ages ago. Different from a planet, it was minor and separated from the universe, yet the domain expanded gradually, establishing its own world rules accordingly. Now, after countless years, Rukito plans to reunite them. The merging process spans several days, yet it is Rukito's desire to protect his kingdom from the negative consequences his foes are experiencing that prolongs it. Days have gone by with relentless assaults from each side, along with the planetary catastrophe that's developing.

Lloyd's speed increased to avoid the psychological attacks from her eyes that would put him at a dead end. In fighting Kuragari , he faced the first individual to avoid her deadly gaze . Moving around and attacking her like she's an animal in a cage being poked with a stick, she was unable to retaliate.     

'My attack hits as long as my eyes land on my opponent, but he understands what the threat is, as he saw it unfold before. I need to catch him by surprise and kill him. Only then can I truly protect Rukito from the other soldiers until he's done. Never have I met a human with the stamina to fight for days , but he should have been worn out by now.' 

Kuragari switches to spells, attacking violently as if she's lost in a fit of rage. Lloyd takes this opportunity to get close to finally go on the offensive and delivers a hard strike, pushing her back. By the looks of it, she is sure not to last any longer. Just then, her gaze goes in another direction , and she looks shocked, then smiles and says, "His wide open , Rukito!" Lloyd turns his attention, looking for where Rukito is, only to fall victim to Kuragari's attack. After a very long battle, the man known as the strongest has fallen.

 "Finally, now things will be easy. For a human, you were the hardest to kill, but in the end, you fell for the oldest trick in the book."

 Currently, with the situation reversed, Kuragari is concentrated entirely on eliminating anyone who attempts to assault Rukito. With the mightiest man gone, the enemy soldiers’ spirit declines, as they fear facing the same fate. Yet, the enemy forces still exceed the number of elves. With additional forces approaching, the weapons cannot eliminate them all simultaneously. At that moment, Elia arrived at the elven stronghold tasked with defending against the enemy and presented them with a new weapon.

"The idea for this was Rukito's, but with a few extra features, I present to you the Electro Web . Try it on the group that's approaching from over there." The soldiers placed the weapon in position and fired at the target. The target hit a soldier, pushing him towards the others. The moment the others touched the one that was hit , they all were paralyzed, unable to do anything. The soldiers took the opportunity to shoot them dead. 

With most of the enemy forces lying dead , the rest of the army is now at ease . Thunder and lightning came down as the world rejected the realm's principles. Rukito then poured out his energy around the world, rewriting the laws of the world, fusing similar laws while destroying the ones he does not need. Now Rukito is finished, and the two worlds are now one. The storm will end in a day's time when the world adapts.

Rukito sits upon the top of a broken piece of rubble shaped like a throne . With him looking at the destruction he caused with a smile. As his kingdom cheers for him. The remaining enemies too scared to do anything. Rukito dominates the world with his grand entrance that even expanded the land itself and increased the whole planet's size. 

"hey, Kuragari , you ok?"

                                                                                        " Yeah, I'm fine. When you said you planned on uniting and invading this land too, I never expected you would merge the realm back."

"I found the easiest way to level the land for my future plans . Speaking of which, what was that power you used? You instantly killed even Lloyd - that's some power."

          " It's called the Eyes of Madness . It allows me to psychologically attack someone. The mind is very powerful, especially the brain. With this, I can instill fear, change information in a person's brain, as well as have their brains kill them. As long as they are within a 200-meter radius, my gaze will kill all who face me."

So she has the power to kill me? No power is absolute, so there's always a weakness or a way to block it in some way. If you make the brain kill the body, that would help the likes of normal people; but if the brain uses signals for the body to release chemicals that kill the body, all you need is to be immortal. No two layers of immortality would be needed. Having recovered most of my memories, training, something is missing, like a piece of a puzzle. That may be the key. What am I even thinking? She 's an ally, not an enemy.

" If you had that power why did you not use it before?"

                                      "I was scared that people would stay away from me. Because of this power, I lived a lonely life. As a child, I couldn't control it, so I stopped and never used it for hundreds of years."

"That's quite a sad past you had. If I were you, I don't know if I would choose that path of solitude." 

Just then, Rukito pulled Kuragari towards him, catching her off guard. Rukito got angry , looking around before spotting Lloyd from afar. Lloyd never seemed that surprised that Rukito saw his sneak attack.

"Of course you're still alive. Tell me something : if I remember correctly, did I not leave you with 1 arm and 1 leg? How is it that you are alive and well with no damage? Are you even human?"

              " Well now , it wouldn't hurt telling since you gonna die . You did take my arm as well as my hand and she also did kill me. But what if I told you I created them with my DNA in a lab"

"You cloning yourself? Hahahahaha that's funny. It's so cute how you need a lab for that." 

                   "That girl over there seems stronger than you and put up a better fight, yet it took days for her to kill me. That was only 10% of my power. How will you take 100%?"

Rukito suddenly appeared behind Lloyd, saying, "That was long ago. Are you sure that the me you are fighting now will be the same ? I could have killed you right then and there." Lloyd turns and attacks Rukito, but yet again, he vanished into thin air. Catching Lloyd off guard yet again, Rukito had grabbed Lloyd's leg, dragging him through the ground before flying up and throwing him like a piece of trash.

Kragari is shocked at Rukito's speed and strength as she only realized a while ago that he left her side and could not keep up with the speed at which he was flying. Lloyd stops himself from hitting the ground and says, "Don't think you can do that ever again. I won't let my guard down this time." 

Lloyd sends a few wind blades back at Rukito, but Rukito simply teleports below Lloyd, kicking him up in the air. Rukito, in a mocking voice, then replied , "You were saying?" With that, Lloyd snapped, attacking constantly as Rukito dodged with ease. 

At that moment, a rogue blast heads for Athena. In an instant, Rukito teleports to intercept it. Rukito starts to turned before spitting out blood as he glances down and notices a sword piercing his chest. He spins around only to find that it was Athena who had pierced him. Rukito's thoughts stalled, leaving him unable to utter a word. At that moment, he regains his breath before drawing the sword out. Before he could utter a word, Athena's body detonated, shredding half of his body apart as he was propelled backward. The King of the Heber Empire suddenly appears, laughing and saying, "Now you are my daughter, but you failed to complete the task, so I took care of it for you, hahahaha." "The only positive thing you accomplished as a girl was getting that monster to love you."

The king laughed as his manipulation worked thanks to the chaos that could be achieved. Kuragari flies off to catch Rukito before he hits the ground. She screams for him to wake up. She's in despair, seeing the state his body is in. Elia watches from afar, shocked at what happened; she bursts into tears, hoping that somehow or some way Rukito is fine. The king continues to rant as he celebrates his victory.   

Just then, with all hope lost , Rukito's spirit sword appears next to him. Right at the same time, chains manifest around him with a lock on it, and with that, the key drives into it from the sword. The key turns, sending shivers down everyone's spine. The chains break, and with that, what can be described as absolute power is violently emanating from Rukito. Kurogari looks shocked as Rukito's body is fully healed. His body then raises up in the air, and Rukito lets out a scream. As he screams, his power seems to be growing more and more. His whole body is transforming.

Inside Rukitos mind he hears a familiar voice saying, " Well now it time to wake up"
