The Planet's End

In the year 202X, scientists from all over the world have predicted the end of the world through the enlargement of the sun. Preparing for the worst, a secret organization called LazyCats have been formed to find and explore the vast universe for a habitable planet, relocating humanity.

No one actually knows who made this organization. They have connections, internationally, and their main location is not known. They also, for some reason have the capability to actually send people to space for exploration. Something that even the top experts of the world has never even reached in the history of space exploration.

This unknown group suddenly showed themselves one day. Providing enough information for spaceship building, as well as enhanced space observation in which we are able to observe more of the galaxy we are in than ever. Along with the message that says: “A large meteorite will crash, and and end the planet”.

It is such a cliched '“End of the World Scenario” that we were all baffled by the news.

Suspicions that said information and blueprints were just a prank, some people investigated the parcel received, and in just a few months they were able to test that said information are indeed capable of creating ships that are able to travel farther than any of our equipment were able to even observe.

After further testing, we have finally created a working ship based on the blueprints received from that mysterious group. There were some people that were still skeptical from the message we received, but as we now have the capability to confirm the news, they had calmed down temporarily.

After years of testing and observation, we have finally answered most of our curiosities, and confirmed the news.

It is not the planet, that the meteorite will land, but the sun! A wandering planet, large enough to destroy our sun is heading to our solar system. A scenario of this size is not something that we can prevent, no matter what we do, the end of the world is definite.

Some people were enraged, in the fact that there is an organization out there that has kept such delicious information from the world. But now that our time is limited, various governments around the world had finally cooperated. All wars or acts of violence were mitigated forcefully, every single country that participated in the Relocation Project Meeting has declared Martial Law, to control the masses.

People were enraged, but with all the other countries following the trend, they quieted down. Most were scared and confused. Almost EVERY country has declared martial law. A lot has been happening behind the scenes, and the people have been scaring themselves with their conspiracy theories that keep popping out on the internet.

Governments from all over the world were handling all information, preventing information leaks. Although the ship is ready for transport, the government still has not started project relocation. Some people in the government had proposed for genetic selection for rich people, selling slots for auction, before starting relocation.

Although all ships were finished, the relocation plan has been halted. Some government had started auctioning off slots for the relocation. They were planning on making luxury spaces for the richest people first, for supposed additional funding, before letting the common people into the ship.

At this time, an information leak was shared to online media. The information was spread by everyone that has access with the internet, basically it spread like wildfire to everyone in the world. The “End of the World” findings, the location of the ship for relocation, the government meetings, and the auction for the luxury slots inside the ship. All information related to Planet HOPE was brought to light.

The government’s plans were shared by millions of people, and the one that started it? LazyCats. The same one that gave the blueprints to the government. With an additional note that says: “The government is unreliable, the blueprints to other structures will not be shared anymore.”

Afterwards, multiple companies that deals with any kind of machinery received the same amount of blueprints for spaceship building that the government had received. The middle and low class government that were not part of the relocation project has started a group of their own, decided not to follow the actions that the first countries had done, and instead shared the whole relocation plan to the people.

In the end, their ship was more than ready to launch, way earlier than of those richer countries that started the plan long ago. Meanwhile, the first-class countries had encountered some complications, as more and more people had stopped funding their relocation plan. They had invested heavily on their luxury slots, that although the ship can be launched, there is not enough preparations done for long term life inside the ship. After all, even though they did receive the news “the world is ending” the due date is decades long, and space travel is much more faster than that.

After years of preparation, all of humanity has now been accommodated to the relocation ships built by various corporations. Some were created for charity, for the sake of the homeless, and the poor. While some were created solely for the entertainment of the higher class, richest people. Although not everyone started at the same time, most of the ships have finished roughly at the same year.

After the sorrow parting with the planet, most ships have already launched into space. Of course, people cannot stay idle in space for years, and although initial explorations were long completed, people will still need some time to adapt to the new environment.

Hence, restructuring of people’s lifestyle must and will be finished during everyone’s stay aboard the ship. People were categorized as:

Settlers - Those that chose to stay within main shelter, building society, markets, and farming.
Explorers - Those that chose to explore the outside of main shelter, with the data received from initial exploration, there may not be any danger, so people will not need to fear of death.

Army - Those that chose their preference of following the newly created unified government for the low and middle class countries back on Earth.

Cultists - A form of religion that was formed from the fragments of existing religions back on Earth.

And lastly, there were those that chose to move separately from everyone, the loners. Although they were called loners, they are more capable than anyone else, since they have highest physical scores than anyone else.
