Chapter 1:
Landslide: Litrpg manager town story
The door shut with a finality that made it crystal clear where he stood. He heard his family celebrating before he was even out of the manor. He grabbed his suitcase and walked until he was out of the village. No one called out or acknowledged him as he made his way out of the village. And why would they? He was the omen. The one everyone wanted gone. He kept it together until he was a quarter of a mile from the village and on the main road. As he traveled the main road, he made his way to a forest and let loose on a tree. He used all of his strength just to punch the tree. When lightning struck the tree and split it in half, it startled him. The sheer force surprised him by the amount of power he displayed. He knew he was strong, just not that strong. Or at least not yet. Skylar sighed and went to a few trees, away from his carnage. Yes, there were flames, but he put them out before they got big. He also wanted to see why he was that powerful. So he opened up his status screen. Something about it still surprised him, only he can do. This was just like when he had on the day before his birthday. In his status screen he sees: HP:100 MP:100 Magic: Fire and Lighting. He also saw an inventory. Which he uses as soon as he can to put his suitcase into it. The fire and lightning were new, though.
He also saw his name was Skylar Youngcreek. He frowned and asked the status screen about changing it. "Yes, you can. What do you want to change to?" As Skylar thought, he noticed the weather. "Fair weather we having here." The status screen then said. "Skylar Fairweather." Just as he was about to change again for the mistake. "Fairweather has a nice ring to it." He smiled and headed to the land he had got from his incubator. He walked for a while and he got rides from some people who were very kind. One of them told him to be careful because they have snatched people off the road for the slave trade. He thanked the man and went to the piece of land that looked more like a forest than a village. At least that's what he thought. As soon as he walked into the forest, the mirage was gone and it left all that was a barren piece of land. Skylar was a little disappointed, but got over it. The main thing is that had land that could mold anyway he wanted. So the first thing he did was build a house. First, he needed materials, mostly wood, but some clay as well. He had not been someone who liked to read things that weren't normal from his other world because there was no magic. But he read some books just to see if they differed from that world and he found out they were but weren't at the same time. There wasn't any electricity in the world he was living in now. But they used fire magic and other magic to make homes. So he visualized the house he wanted, and he probably went over what he wanted. He wanted a home that was like a hill. However, what he got wasn't that.
He got a mansion that was a more mountain than a hill. So he decided he would build a mansion instead. He had a foyer with big stairs, for dramatics' sake. He made a dining room for appearance’s sake. He also made several kitchens. Other rooms like Mess hall for servants, a servants' quarter, and many parlor rooms plus a library. He made sure that there were many rooms for not just servants but also room for him and the people he wanted in his life. Once he was finished with making the mansion. He collapsed onto the floor of his mansion. Exhausted from making his mansion. He spelt on the floor to the foyer of the front entrance. When he woke up the next morning. He yawned and looked at his status screen: HP:200, MP:200, Fire and Lighting. Also, water spout and earth wall. He smiles but wonders how that happened. Then he hears it. A loud roar. At first he didn't go outside until a voice said. "I know you are in there. Please come out." Skylar was about to run but when he heard the pleading voice. He hesitated for a moment.
He sighed and walked slowly toward the door with electricity in his hand. He opened the door. And there stood a dragon, something he didn't want to deal with. Skylar walks toward the dragon slowly. "I can torch this little house to ashes if you don't put away the light show." Skylar lifted a brow. "This light show can and will stun you before you can do anything." Also to show how powerful he was. He shot a tree and overkill it and a few more than he wanted. So he uses his water spout to a geyser. Thanks to the lake close to them. "Now, as you were saying." Skylar wheezy said. The dragon at first was shocked, but he realized the boy had no control over his powers yet. And that made it worse for the dragon, but desperate time called for desperate measures. "Look kid, I know you are out of control right now-" Skylar cut through. "You don't know shit." The dragon looked at the charred remains of a few trees the kid had destroyed. And said "Yeah."
Skylar thought he had scared the dragon. He was about to walk back to the front door. When he heard a sigh. "Yes, I see you are strong, but you have no control." Skylar is stunned; he tries to close his mouth, but it falls open again. The dragon laughed in his face, making Skylar embarrassed. "Look, I need your help." Skylar could only ask. "Why me though?" The dragon lifted two claws. "Two reasons. One, you are here, which brings to my second reason. The second reason is because of your family," Skylar said through gritted teeth. "Which one again?" The dragon looked at him carefully. "The one that gave you the pointy ears and dark skin." Skylar rolled his eyes. "The incubator." Skylar thought as he nodded his head. "Yes, the Willowbell elves." Skylar's fist pumped into the sky. "I knew it was elves." The dragon watch as Skylar did a little jig. "Yes, you are an elf. Your parents told you nothing." Skylar still breaking down. "No, and I think she doesn't know either."
The dragon huffed. "What do you mean, no one has told you about your heritage?" Skylar dancing, and tapped his chin like he was pondering about the statement. "Well, sperm donor always said that there was nothing special about mom's family and that most of them died." He shrugged. "Good riddance, if you asked me." The dragon looked absolutely horrify. "How could you have said that about your mother's side of the family?" Skylar with a cold expression. "No one with a cowardly daughter like my incubator. Would not protect their kids and get out of a toxic situation. This isn't a family of mine." The dragon looked sad to hear such words from a child so young. They sighed. "Well, the lands are yours." Skylar raised an eyebrow. "Lands?" The dragon nodded. "Yes, this patch of land to the mountain. Is your territory." Skylar nodded his head. "So what is that you wanted again?"
The dragon clapped their hands together. Since this was they had been waiting for. "Yes, I need your help to get my egg back." Skylar blinked a few times before saying. "What?" The dragon continued. "Yes, a slave trader hired a dragon hunter to steal my egg." Skylar nodded. "You and missus aren't happy about that." The dragon had a sorrowful expression. "No, for dragon hunter's reward was my mate. He skinned them alive and any other parts of them he could use to his own device. He could have." Skylar sympathizes with them. "I grieve with thee." The dragon chuckled. "As much as your empathy is appreciated. I've got my revenge. One I don't think you would appreciate." Skylar shrugged. "I'm someone who believe and eye for eye." The dragon smiled evilly. Then they chuckled darkly. "Maybe I'll tell you about later after you help me get my young." Soon notification pops up with a new objective: rescue the dragon egg. Reward: 100 people. New objective: Town management. "Huh, so this is a town management system, cool." Skylar closed the status screen and went to the town entrance. Just as he got close to it. The dragon's tail blocked his path. "I think it would be better if you got on my back." The dragon stare at Skylar before shaking his head. And just like that, Skylar's bravado was gone. "I don't think that's a good idea." The dragon chuckled. "What's wrong? Scared of heights." When the dragon got no word from the boy. He wanted to laugh but kept in and said. "We don't have time for being skittish. I'm the fastest thing here, and I'll keep you safe." Skylar to maneuver around the dragon's tail, only to be captured by the thing. "NO! LET ME GO! GODAMNIT!" Skylar bellowed. "Relaxed." The dragon said. As soon as Skylar was on their back. They took off and just as they did that, so did Skylar's magic. It had made a sturdy cockpit for him. The dragon fly at sonic speed but didn't want to knock the kid out if not incinerate him.
The dragon moved slowly. They still was light in the sky when the dragon telepath link with Skylar. "We are here." Skylar had been watching the sky when the dragon said that. "What now?" Skylar thought, but before he could have finished the sentence. The system teleported him on top of the castle. Fortunately, he was next to a window. He open and as he made his way down using the electricity. As he climbs down the wall and land on the ground. He stood in front of a group of thugs. Without thinking, he zipped everyone into that room before another alarm went set off. Once everyone were stunned. He looked at the status screen of what he can do and saw that he can use his lightning to turn him invisible. So that is what he does. As he left the room.
