Chapter 43:
RE START : EXECUTION CODE X DEMON KING FROM ANOTHER WORLD
The battlefield was broken beyond recognition. Fires burned in the craters, the sky was torn by black clouds and lightning.
Riven’s chest heaved, every breath like fire in his lungs. His arms shook from the weight of Red Judgement still glowing faintly on his skin. Across from him, Silas rose, cracked but not fallen, his grin never fading.
“You’re relentless,” Silas said, voice echoing like thunder. “But no matter how many times you strike, I will regenerate. You cannot kill me.”
Riven spat blood, but his eyes never left him.
“You really are strong Silas, I guess I have no choice.”
Inside, he felt it—that hidden power he hadn’t dared to touch until now. A pressure at the edge of his veins, waiting to be unleashed.
Limit Breaker.
He clenched his fists and let it tear free.
A surge ripped through his body, every muscle igniting. His veins glowed bright red, light spilling from cracks across his skin. His aura flared outward, crushing the ground beneath him until stone shattered and sand disintegrated.
Lucy and the others gasped at the sidelines.
“He’s… faster,” Chiper whispered.
“No,” Lucy said, trembling. “His going to use it.”
Riven stepped forward, and the sound cracked the air like thunder. His body moved at one hundred percent—strength, speed, endurance—all pushed to the absolute limit.
Silas’s grin widened. “Finally. Show me what you are, Boy.”
The two clashed.
Silas swung with a storm of fire and lightning, his black clouds reaching to consume.
But Riven wasn’t there. He blurred, moving so fast his afterimage still stood as he appeared behind Silas. His fist struck Silas’s ribs with enough force to break the ground in a hundred-meter radius. Silas staggered forward, coughing.
Another punch. Then another.
Riven didn’t stop. His fists blurred until they became invisible, each blow exploding with raw power. Twenty strikes in a single second, each one driving deeper, cracking Silas’s regenerating body faster than it could heal.
The sound was deafening—like a thousand cannons firing at once.
Silas roared, trying to counter, but every swing of his arm was interrupted by another bone-shattering strike. His fire and lightning sputtered under the endless barrage.
Finally, Riven pulled his fist back one last time, aura blazing, Limit Breaker surging to its peak.
He drove his final blow straight into Silas’s chest.
The impact created a shockwave so massive it split the clouds overhead and turned night into day for a heartbeat.
Silas’s body arched, crimson cracks exploding outward from the point of impact. For the first time, his regeneration failed to keep up. His chest caved in, glowing red from within as if Riven’s fist had branded his very core.
Riven stood, breathing hard, his arm trembling but unbroken. His one minute was almost gone.
Silas fell to one knee, blood dripping from his lips. He looked up, and though his body still tried to knit itself together, it was too slow. Too weak.
He laughed, hoarse and broken.
“You… are no ordinary human.”
Riven glared down at him. His aura began to fade, Limit Breaker burning out.
“Remember my name. Riven Kane. The man who broke you.”
Silas collapsed, his dark clouds dispersing into the wind.
For the first time since the rift opened, silence fell over the battlefield.
