Chapter 0:

Memory Wipe.

I was reincarnated, now I'm stuck in a body with 4 strangers.

“I—I can’t breathe.”

When he regained consciousness, he realised he couldn’t do anything. Breathing, seeing, hearing, even his memories were stripped from him.

Everything was hazy, static filled his mind. He didn't feel human anymore, he was just an object, drifting around in an endless void.

“Yeah, yeah, I’ll watch him! Just shut up already!”

A sharp, irritated voice dragged him back to reality. He gasped, coughing as though he’d been underwater for hours, clutching at his chest.

His senses slowly came back to him. The cold wood pressed faintly against his palm, almost too numb to register.

Slowly, he remembered his name: Keikichi Tadashi. However, beyond that was just a blur to him.

Keikichi's legs shook as he staggered onto his feet. Everything was still blurry, his mouth felt dry, like he had just slept for days without any water.”

When his eyes finally focused, he saw her. A girl sat cross-legged on the sofa, entirely locked in on a TV blaring loud enough to completely ignore Keikichi.

Her long fiery red hair stood out to him, definitely not natural. Maybe for some kind of cosplay?

She wore a basic white tank top with a strange black emblem on it and black jeans stitched with red embroidery.

Her build was surprisingly muscular, a mix of slender beauty and lean, battle ready muscle.

“Excuse me, where am I?” His voice surprised him, raspy and dry, like he hadn't had anything to drink in days.

The girl shrieked, practically jumping off the couch, hiding behind it as her wide eyes stayed fixed on him.

“Kouga! Get in here! He woke up!”

“Mhm~, sure he did,” came a voice from another room, lazy enough to sound half-asleep.

A boy strolled in, a kitchen knife held loosely in his hand and an apron tied around him. Presumably Kouga.

Kouga looked around 170 centimeters, he was alarmingly skinny, like a stiff breeze might knock him over. His bright blue hair and eyes made him look more like the main character of an anime than a chef.

He froze the second his gaze landed on Keikichi. His sigh twisted into something between a laugh and a groan.

“Ohhh~. Yeah, no. I'm not dealing with this. Where’d Reina go?”

“She went out with Aiko,” the girl turned to answer before fixing her eyes back on Keikichi.

“Perfect…” The boy dumped his knife on a nearby counter, untied his apron, and headed toward the door.

“Just my luck, stuck with an idiot like you, right as he wakes up.” Kouga muttered whilst casually strolling outside and out his vision.

Keikichi turned his attention back to the red haired girl. She looked at him like an escaped zoo animal. Though he wasn't sure what made her so afraid.

“I apologise if I scared you. My name is Keikichi. This whole situation is very abberish, so if you could, I would like an explanation.”

The girl didn't respond, just looked at him in silence, still hiding behind the couch.

"I dont think being all formal is helping calm her down.” He thought to himself. Keikichi cleared his throat and spoke again.

“Sorry for scaring you, but I'm very confused. Could you tell me how I ended up here?”

He tried to step closer but couldn't. instead, he fell limply to the floor, his body using up all it's power.

“Oh no, no, no! Are you okay?!” The redhead finally approached, scooping him up from the floor with surprising ease.

He realized that he was being carried like a princess over to the couch. Normally he would feel embarrassed with himself, but he was barely holding onto consciousness, so he didn't mind.

She set him carefully on the sofa. “Just… just stay there! I’ll get some water!”

She dashed into another room with impressive speed and returned almost instantly with a bottle. Shoving it into Keikichi's shaky hands.

“Dont worry, I'm royal knight, my name is Cammila, I will help you.” she motioned to the emblem pinned to her top as she offered a reassuring smile.

"Now please, drink"

Without hesitation, Keikichi chugged the water. The sharp sting of liquid scraping down his dry throat made him recoil slightly in pain.

“Thanks…” he croaked.

Camilla’s smile softened. “You’re welcome. Just try to stay awake until the others get back, alright?”

Keikichi tried his best. But he failed that request before she even finished asking.

His consciousness began to slip, he couldn't recall how he’d gotten here. The house. Camilla. Kouga. None of it came to mind.

Instead, something else did.

He remembered… his death.
