Chapter 1 The Eclipse Festival

Sometime after the events of SAO with the release of the Seed & after witnessing the events of Infinite Dendrogram, a Woman named Sofia Ardent & her partner Arnold Kindleburg created a new type of MMORPG game called Eidolon Nexus its compatible with console, PC & VR but the best part about it is you can connect to the VR from console or PC so players can enjoy it on whichever they want and can choose to stop enjoy it via console or PC while viewing it all through the new VR Glasses called The Frame-lens. Players all over the world waited long enough for Eidolon Nexus to be released to the public. In the year 2064 the game is released. Beta testing happened in 2052 & over a thousand players gave good reviews & went far on exploring & battling. Now the game is made public and many & ready to try it. A boy with Black hair & Blue eyes wearing a white hoodie black shoes & blue pants hurries home to play the game. (“My name is Yuto Kazuhiko.” “I’m 17 years old & I’m just your average gamer. I go to school, have decent friends, even sister who joins me in the gaming world as well.” Her name is Airi & she’s 13. We heard about this game called Eidolon Nexus!” A game where you can do whatever want with an AI partner called Eidolons.” “I was lucky enough to be able to Beta test the game & was able to Pre-order the game but Airi got to play it in advance from her best friend Toka but afterwards she was admitted to the hospital for some reason.” This reminds me of the event everyone remembers when trapped in a video game as least she can still play it while at the hospital.” Even so I’m gonna do what I can to help my sister so I’m diving into the game to find out more.” “Oh boy it feels like I’m in an Isekai adventure already!” “Lucky me.”)After turning on his console getting the game ready & connected his new Frame-Lens VR Glasses. He begins his dive into Eidolon Nexus. Eidolon Nexus it’s a MMORPG games where players can explore a new world and adventure with a partner called an Eidolon. It can take the form or an animal, a creature, or a human. Heck even a hybrid of species. Each & every Eidolon is unique & can granted various skills & abilities. Even there partners will be able to use them.  

The boy finds himself in some kind of digital archive & meets a blue-white hologram with a female voice. “Oh hello there my name is Mira.”  “I’m 1 of the AIs that govern this wonderful project.” The boy says, “Hi!” “Sorry if I’m intruding or interrupting anything but I would like to ready myself for this journey please.” Mira smiles at the player. “Well you seem like a well mannered person, I like that.” “Alright go ahead & make your character.” The boy creates his character keep his original look but giving himself Silver eyes, Black hair with Blue Streak, a navy blue robe, White Shirt, & Brown pants, plus blue boots. “This look will do.” He says, “I’ll go with name Yuri Eclipse!” (“My Name is actually Yuto Kazuhiko. I just change the last 2 letters in my 1st name & my last name means Eclipse.”) “Very well & your attire looks ok.”says Mira, “Now choose where you want to begin your adventure on the world map.” Looking at the map there’s the Nation of Eido, Mercenary Town of Arkanis, The Holy Capital of Ordalia, & The Forest Home of Florasia. “Hmm I’ll go with the kingdom of Eido.” “Is that ok” Mira says, Yes you will be sent to it’s Capital Edolis. “Also Lucky you Edolis is having there annual Eclipse Festival in celebration of the Eidolons & the goddess of Remembrance Astraea.” Yuri is surprised to hear that. (“That’s a bit ironic.”) he thought to himself. “Hey Mira would you like to join me for the festival?” Mira is shocked to hear a player asking an AI to join them. (“This is the 1st time a player asked an AI like me to join them!” As much as I could I have to handle things here 1st.”)  she thought to herself & says to Yuri. “Let me think about & I’ll let you know tomorrow, ok?” “Ok it’s a deal!” Says Yuri as Mira now gives him his item box. “Here’s your storage bag.” Inside there will be a sword, some blank memory shards, Health & Mana Potions, & finally 16,000 Keel.” I normally give players 8,000 but since you invited me to join you I decided to be generous.” “Oh you’re also a beta tester for this game & pre-ordered it too?” Yuri said nervously, “Yes.” “Wow you must really love video games don’t you?” Mira says teasingly. “Also as a bonus here’s a unique item the Databreaker Gauntlet!” “It’ll be a big help to you, Anyway sorry for teasing you.” Yuri grumbles & says, “Is there any Main objectives in this game?” Mira says in a confident grand scale, “Nope, you are free to do whatever you wish.” “Be a hero, a villain, gain nobility or villainy, Lead or Rule a country, or do nothing & get off, do whatever want in this game along with your Eidolon.” “You have number of infinite possibilities & outcomes at your disposal same goes for the other players.” (“Infinite Possibilities? I remember hearing it in a previous game.”) Mira then touches Yuri’s chest & he glows. “You’re Eidolon is now in you.” “Each player gets 1 in a number of ways but once you reach a Nexus Spire they will awaken.” “Plus like I said all Eidolons have the infinite possibilities with how they grow & evolve based on there owners.” Yuri says, Luckily I don’t see it that way.” “Me & my Eidolon we’ll become friends or even family!” Mira then says to him, “You’re a pure hearted person huh?” “Alright then.” “You ready to dive into Eidolon Nexus?!” Yuri shakes his head yes & Mira opens a teleport door. “Good luck Yuri & welcome to Eidolon Nexus!”

Yuri immediately finds himself in from of Edolis the Capital City in the Nation of Eido Seeing the place as a hybrid of a Medieval era with some Modern era stuff in it. The Medieval technological city of Edolis is leaving our protagonist amazed. As he enters the City, he focuses on finding out how his sister got sick from the game but still wants to enjoy the game.(“Don’t worry Airi if the game made you sick somehow I’ll find out.”) A shop owner calls out to Yuri. “Hey you good sir!” Yuri looks at the guy & points to himself. “Yes I mean you.”as the merchant continues. “Here’s a pair of Eclipse Glasses.” “Since you’re here to see the Eclipse best to have these to witness it without going blind.” Yuri takes the pair, “Thank you sir, how much do you want for it?” The Merchant says, “It’s on the house, consider it a welcome to the city & a festive gift.” “Thanks again!” Yuri says, as he walks away from the Merchant. He then overhears a commotion down a side street & sees a few thugs messing with a person in a cloak wearing boots. “Hey what are you doing down here?” said 1 of the thugs. The person in the cloak spoke in a female voice, “ I was making my way to the festival & got lost.” Apologies this won’t happen again!” She tries to leave, but the thugs draw there knives. “You’re not going anywhere little girl!” “Hand over whatever money & food you got!” Says the 2nd thug threatening her but in a moment’s notice Yuri punches 1 of the thugs with his Databreaker Gauntlet launching 1 into the other & they both hit a wall. The 3rd thug is surprised to see that but instead of running he tries to stab Yuri. Yuri dodges the attack & throws the thug to the ground knocking him out. As all 3 bad guys pass out from the battle Yuri walks over to the hooded girl & asks, “Hey are you ok?” Did you lose your parents?” “No I wanted to go to the Eclipse Festival and I got lost.” Yuri gives out his hand. “Let me help you.” “By the way my name is Yuri Eclipse, what’s your name?” The girl takes off her clock reveals herself as a purple haired, purple eyed 17 year old girl wearing a tiara. “My name is Emma Lee Eido.” “I’m the Princess of this nation.” Emma grabs Yuri’s hand & says, “Thanks for saving me Yuri but we better go report this to the authorities plus my bodyguard.” “Ok sure.” Said Yuri as he joins her. (“Wait did she say bodyguard?!” “I hope she won’t blame me for this commotion.”) Just then a woman with platinum colored hair & green eyes rushes towards the 2 her armor shows a Cloverleaf with a Sword & shield on it. Plus she wields a special Halberd Spear. Emma run towards her. “Clover!” “I’m happy you’re here!” The 2 hug & her bodyguard scolds her. “Lady Emma how many times do we have to tell you stop sneaking away!?” “I’m happy that you are safe my lady, but who’s that guy?” Clover goes for her weapon & Emma stops her. “Clover this is Yuri Eclipse!” “He saved me from a gang of thugs plus he’s my new friend.” Yuri waves hi to Clover. “Very well thank you for saving the princess.” Said Clover as she bows to Yuri. “Come on we need to get you back to the castle.” Emma hugs Yuri goodbye as she leaves with Clover. “I’ll see you later!” Enjoy the Festival!” Yuri shouts back, “See ya & stay safe Princess!” Yuri then runs all over town seeing the sights & trying to get the layout while enjoying the festival.

After seeing more of the Eclipse festival seeing decorations, banners, & various items sold in the shape of Eidolons & the World’s 3 Moons. Yuri stumbles into the town square to see its Nexus Spire Tower in the center of the plaza. “So this is the Nexus Spire that Mira mentioned.” Yuri says to himself. “All I have to do is touch it & my Eidolon will awaken itself inside me?” “Ok.” (“Even though I’m on a mission I love taking things slow from time to time in games.” “Besides I was lucky enough be chosen as a Beta Tester for the game & I pre-ordered 2 copies for me & my sister.” The sooner I can think of a way to help her the better.”) As the Eclipse begins Yuri touches the Nexus Spire Tower. The Eclipse is centered around him & sees his skill tree showing he can gain & use some unique & one of a kind abilities. He is then teleported to an void like area where it looks like he’s in Outer Space. He sees a blue light & walks toward it. “Are you my Eidolon?” He says & a voices speaks out, “So you are my new Master?”, says the voice, “I much prefer you didn’t call me Master, after all if we’re gonna be working together we should be friends.” “My name is Yuto Kazuhiko, but in here call me Yuri Eclipse or Yuri.” The voice says, “Very well, now Yuri Eclipse give me a name & we shall begin our journey together as “partners” as you said. Yuri thinks of a name for his Eidolon & has thought of 1. “How about Lira?” “I think that name will be great for you!” The voice says, As you stated Master Yuri Lira will be my name, Thank you.” “Your Welcome but please stop calling me Master.” “Ok you ready to go?” Yuri said excitedly. As they leave the nexus a glitch occurs in the world. At the Festival all players see the sky turned red with various enemies marching & running rampant through the City. [SYSTEM ERROR // Eclipse Protocol Engaged.][Balance of Order / Corruption compromised.][Adapt… or be deleted.] appears on everyone’s screen. During this System Eclipse Lira glitches out into a unique 1 of kind Eidolon. A Wisp like creature that’s glowing Blue with a White Halo above its head & has Dark eye & a Black wing on her back. Yuri is surprised to see her like this, “Wow!” You have the color of the 3 moons!” “So cool!” “Well Lira I hope we can become friends & great parents.” Lira performs a curtsy & says, “Thank you Yuri I hope for a cooperative partnership & relationship as well.” Yuri now leaves the Nexus Void with Lira by his side. He then sees the notification about the System Eclipse, the sky turning red & a word from the creator Sofia Ardent & her partner Arnold Kindleburg, “Players we got word that the developers had caught some bugs in the software.” “Until we can uncover more please be careful.” I’ll announce the news tomorrow of all players to see. “Good luck & have a good day.” Sofia Verdant. (“I wonder what happened?” “Could this “System Eclipse” be the reason why Lira is like this?” “Not that I’m complaining or anything.”) (Even if you say it does sound like you are complaining Yuri!”) Lira says to him telepathically, (“Lira!” No I would never hate you we are a team now, ok?”) (“Very well.” I’m surprised that you are aware that Eidolons can speak to there Masters using Telepathy.”) (Yeah I tested the game before so I remember a thing or 2.”) said Yuri. Then Clover returns to find him at the Plaza. “Sir Yuri, Princess Emma wants to come meet her family at the castle.” Yuri is shocked to hear about this but couldn’t refuse so he follows Clover to a big White Castle with blue roofs & as they enter Clover stops to say something. “You may have saved the Princess but let me make something clear.” She points her spear at Yuri & he gives off a little scared yet surprised look on his face. “Do anything to hurt them & I’ll personally end you!” “Yeah I got the message ma’am!” Yuri said in a terrified tone, but Emma now wearing a flowing White dress trimmed with soft lace, with silver bangles at her wrists saw the whole thing. “Clover, How dare you!” “If you & my brother don’t treat my new friend with respect then I might as well run away!” “Apologies my princess.” Clover bows & Emma says, “You won’t be forgiven that easily!” “Anyway, c’mon Yuri I told my family about what happened & they want to meet you.” Emma takes Yuri’s hand & drags him the next room which is the Throne Room. As the 2 Walk in Yuri takes a knee in front of the Royal Family. Emma announces him to the them. “Mother, Father, big brother, I know I shouldn’t have snuck away to the festival & I’m deeply sorry for my actions, but this man save when I was lost in the city during the festivities.” “His name is Yuri Eclipse!” “He saved me from a gang of thugs who were wielding knives and planning to rob or capture me.” I’ll accept whatever punishment you deem appropriate but please don’t let me lose my new friend & savior.” After hearing the Princess’s speech the Queen wearing a beautiful teal dress, long flowing White hair, plus wearing a Tiara with the 3 moons on it stands & says, “We’re just happy that you’re ok Emma.” “Yuri is it?” My name is Selene Aria Eido, I’m the queen of this nation & I would like to thank you personally.” Then the King a man Tall, broad-shouldered, with purple hair wearing a regal Red-and-gold long coat with sapphire embellishments, embroidered with the crest of Eido (a winged crown above a crescent moon). His presence is calm yet commanding. He says, “Yuri, I Edwin Emanuel Eido, The King of Eido, thank you for saving our daughter during the Eclipse Festival!” “Would you like to be our honored guest for tonight?” Yuri is surprisingly shocked & lucky that this is happening to him. “As long as it’s ok with you your Grace.” Yuri said in a nice composed manner. “Oh please there’s no need to be formal.” “For now please call me & wife by our 1st names or just King & Queen Eido.” “Very well sir & madam, thank you.” Emma’s brother walks up to Yuri. A boy around in his 20s with White hair & wearing a white knight’s tunic layered with silver armor pieces and a cloak of pale gold. Carries a slender longsword at his hip & says, “My name is Ethan Lorenz Eido, The Prince of Eido.” “Thank you for saving my sister.” “It’s no problem I’m happy to help.” (“Besides I have a sister that needs help as well & I’ll do what I can for her.”) After that Yuri is sent to a guest room to rest up for the night. “Ok I double checked my items & my weapon, Checked Lira’s Status & nothing back from Mira.” Yuri says as he lies in bed. (“Yuri are you ready for our adventure to begin tomorrow?”) said Lira in delight & Yuri replies, (Yeah I can’t wait til tomorrow.)

The Next day Yuri wakes up, takes a shower gets dressed & 1 of the castle maids leads him to the dining room where Emma, Ethan, Edwin & Selene are having breakfast. “Thank you for having me join you for breakfast.” As they all enjoy breakfast, Emma asks Yuri a question, “Are you an Eidolon wielder Yuri?” “Yes I do her name is Lira.” “She’s my friend & I trust her.” Yuri said with confidence & pride. (“Aww Master.”) Lira said to herself. “Can we see her please?” Emma asks & the Royal family including Clover wants to see Yuri’s Eidolon Lira. “Wow uh ok let me ask her.” (“Lira u wanna show yourself to our new friends?”) Yuri says to her in his head. (“Alright Master I’ll reveal myself to them.”) said Lira & Yuri begins to glow once more & a huge bright light is unleashed. Lira the Blus wisp like creature with a White eye &  Halo on her head & Black Eye & Wing on her bad. Everyone in the room is surprised to see this from an Eidolon.
