“Bring it on,” Nokia said confidently as Brass Liam’s punch tore through the air.

Sliding on his right foot, Nokia dodged slightly, but the edge of Liam’s brass knuckles clipped the side of his glasses.

CRASH!

The right lense of his glasses cracked impairing his vision.

“Shit—my glasses!” Nokia hissed.

“Hehe! There’s more where that came from!” Liam cackled, winding up again.

“I… can't see!” Nokia proclaimed.

Liam charged at Nokia with another attack, appearing as a blurred flash of bronze and grizzle hair in Nokia's view.

"Without your visoin your toast" Liam said approaching him

"Hmph" Nokia said confidently. ""I'm from new York, its not the first time I've had to fight with broken glasses"

It's also not the first time I've fought a guy with Brass Knuckles outside a train station either"

Crushing the broken frames in his hand, Nokia casually tossed them aside.  As His sharp blue eyes gleamed beneath the sterile light he regained his composure, ready to anticipate Liam’s next attack.

Nokia ran a hand through his silver hair, pushing it back into a subtle, stylish angle.

"This is much better" He said flickering his cold blue eyes. "I feel... more relaxed now"

“So that’s how it works…” Nokia muttered, a grin spreading. “By making myself look more like an influencer… I can raise my Aura.”

Brass Liam snarled  again, brass knuckles swinging like steel meteors. But this time, Nokia’s eyes tracked every twitch, every motion.

“There’s no reason I have to get hit anymore.”

Sidestepping with perfect ease, Nokia let the punch whistle past his jaw. His hand shot out, clamping down on Liam’s shoulder.

He leaned close, whispering with a confident gaze. “You want to Fight me?” Nokia mused.
“Listen, man… you don’t even have enough Aura to talk to me.”

With a flick of his wrist, Nokia tossed Liam over his shoulder, sending him crashing to the ground with a bone-jarring slam.

Nokia straightened his jacket, his grin sharp as his blue eyes blazed.

“I get it now… In this world… I can farm Aura while I fight.” Nokia thought

“For someone like this guy sitting at -10,000 it must be maddening. He probably has another three years of work and long nights to clear his aura debt.”

“A Poser like you will never understand!” Liam boomed rising to his feet

“I spent ten years building my aura! I was well into six figures—my aura had soared past a hundred thousand! But then… It started happening. My fans turned on me. Suddenly, brass knuckles weren’t ‘cool’ anymore. Stakeholders kept demanding more aura payments. Day by day, my aura dwindled away!”

His eyes burned with bitterness as he ran towards Nokia..

“I tried to cultivate, but I was hunted by other influencers. Every day was hell. Then I made the mistake of losing to a level zero like you. That loss stripped almost everything from me. My aura dropped to minus ten thousand, and my followers abandoned me. I became a Zero a Nothing!”

He clenched his oversized fist, trembling with rage.

“I hate all of these people who rise out of nowhere—snatching aura for ridiculous reasons. People like me slave for years, only to lose it all overnight. And people like you… somehow leap to a million in one go!”

Brass Liam’s fist began to swell, bones creaking, skin stretching until it nearly tripled in size.
“Brass Fracture!” he bellowed, swinging the monstrous knuckles straight at Nokia.

Seeing the attack so telegraphed Nokia sidestepped smoothly, touching Liam’s shoulder.

“Liam One question.”

“Huh?”

“Just what, does that have to do with me?”

This time, instead of flipping him, Nokia drove an elbow into Liam’s jaw sending him reeling.

As Liam’s head swiveled side to side, Nokia squared up.

“People like you really piss me off!”

Nokia strode forward, raised his fist, and smashed Liam across the face with a devastating blow. Skipping like a stone, Liam bounced across the ground before crashing into a shroud of bushes meters away.

Nokia flexed his hand, eyes narrowing.
“I don’t see any strength stats. But as my aura goes up, I feel my strength, my agility—everything—getting stronger. What is this feeling? I wonder how strong I really am now…”

"Also I feel more calm... relaxed like I'm on some kind of drug... Does aura effect my mood?"

Looking down at his hand, feeling the surge of power, Nokia was amazed.
“This aura… it’s not just a signifier for popularity. It also associated with other things as well.”

Nokia's eyes sharpened.
“Aura must be… what? Some kind of key? Some kind of spiritual energy? But it’s also transactional. That guy said you can gain and lose aura just like that.”

He smirked, clenching his fist tighter.

Nokia looked up, he was surrounded. A group of one-star influencers formed a circle around him, each radiating zero aura.

“Yeah!” another spat. “And to be honest I just don’t like you. You think you’re hot stuff, taking off your glasses, flexing like you’re somebody.”

“At the end of the day you’re still a level zero, just like us,” another chimed in. “Even if you technically have more aura.”

Nokia tilted his head, unimpressed.
“Yeah… that really is a bother. But just because we’re at the same level… doesn’t mean we’re on the same level.”

“Oh yeah? So you think you’re better than us?”

“Not me,” Nokia said, eyes glinting. “But the followers in my chat do. Isn’t that right, guys?”

“I see…” the influencer said, eyes widening.

“So remember—no matter how many come at you…”

Nokia clenched his fist, reading the system window.
“Alright… it’s gonna cost everything. Aura cost: 1000. Fine. Let’s do it.”

His aura flared violently.
“I didn’t come this far… to back down!”

AURA PULSE!!!!

He pressed two fingers together and swiped to the side. A glowing circle of aura spread outward, humming with power.

As the men slammed into it, the barrier rebounded like a balloon, shoving them back.

“Begone!”

BOOM!

The aura sphere exploded outward in a shockwave, blasting all ten opponents to the ground.

“Whoa…” Nokia muttered as his body pulsed with energy. He staggered, then straightened, as a shockwave rippling inside him.

“My aura… it’s getting stronger. I don’t know how any of this makes sense…” He clenched his fist, eyes blazing with resolve. “But one thing I do know—”

He took a bold stride forward, voice echoing with conviction.
“In this world… I can farm aura. And that’s not normal. If I can figure this out—use all my experience as a cameraman, capturing aura, retaining aura, never losing aura…”

He lifted his gaze to the horizon, eyes flashing.
“…then I just might become… something Extraordinary."

Just then a message popped up on Nokias HUD.

“What? I got a house now?” Nokia exclaimed.

All amenities and food have bern taken care of as your influencer status has climbed to Level Two. Please accept this humble gift as congratulations on reaching your new level.”]
