Chapter 1:

Lost

Shatter

“Why, why, why, why…”

Sai kanzaki, 18 year-old high school student, was spiraling as he forgot his wallet at his cheap, run-down apartment which he lived in alone. He was so far from home at a bookstore in Tokyo when he realized he had left his wallet. With no way of getting back he had one option.

―Guess I’ll just call one of my frie-

“Well that’s not good— AH FRICK!”

You see, not only did Sai leave his wallet which held every last bit of money he had down to the coin, but he had also left his phone at his apartment. Now with absolutely no way home, all he could really do was ask around for help. As he went outside he became overwhelmed with the task he had to do.

“Hey, could I borrow your pho-“

―Dang, he ignored me.

“Yo, sir, could I-“

―Another one.

“Hey-“

As Sai began his third attempt of asking for a phone, he was cutoff by someone laying their hand on his shoulder. Sai froze instantly from how scared he was. He felt someone breathing on him with lips getting closer to his ear and then-

“Goodbye.”

“What do you mean-“

As Sai was about to turn his head around, the person flicked his back and— nothing… there was and is nothing.

―Why is it all black? Where is everyone? Where am I?

Sai began to question everything that was nothing as everything he was questioning is nothing, it is the literal concept of nothing.

“Begone.”

Said a faint female sounding voice into Sai’s ear and instantly he was back on solid ground, but— it wasn’t the solid ground he was on before. He looked at his surroundings and it wasn’t like what it was before. He heard noises, noises that weren’t normal in Tokyo.

―Where am I?

Pretty quickly after questioning where he was Sai realized what had happened.

“Holy carpet cleaner… did I just get summoned to another world!?”

Yes, yes you were summoned to another world, Sai. Quite a good eye you have on you, it’s almost like it should’ve obvious the SECOND you got there!

―I feel way too calm for this.

Sai realized he was way too calm for someone who got sent to another world, almost as if he was calmed by someone else.

―Was it that girl? Almost all of my doubt seemed to go away after she flicked me, it must’ve been her.

“Yes, it was me.”

“Huh…”

Wait… what?!
