Nice comfy leather seats, as if I'm in a limo my sight clears up and to my unfortunate surprise I am in a really elongated bus. there's a crowd, a wild stench I can’t put my finger on its in between a thick heavy iron and a field of flowers, and ahead of my field of vision are a lot of strange faces, I think Cosplayers but I know better they are probably monsters each and every one of them all look like they were taken straight out of fiction.
But accepting that reality seems to be a bit much on my spirit so it’s better if I focus on how they look rather than what they could be. I peer at them hoping to keep my sanity
Large, heavy set with Greek god like physiques scarlet-skinned warriors out towards the front of the bus most rest stoic posed, eyes closed, as if they’re meditating some whisper amongst themselves nudged by the stoic ones to shut up.
Across the aisle laughing and having so much boisterous conversation that I can’t decipher any of it. They are equally heavy and rich in physique as the red-skinned warriors expect they are blue-skinned.
All of them have mixture of horns Some have three, Others have two. But most of them have only one. Those with more horns are slimmer and more compact than the ones with less, just behind them lies one very thin, and extremely muscled packed red warrior with a crown of horns on top of their skull.
And the other one to the right of him, a blue one, also with a crown of horns on top their skull as well expect they have wings and they are far less packed with muscles and rock a very slender physique.
I blink a couple more times, I realized that we're all separated by large thin glass-like dividers. Several more regular looking people sitting in the front before me, separated by another set of dividers away from the “cosplayers” They're more familiar to me as at least in terms of proportions, and skin tone, some darker, some more pale. But each one of them has a tail. And they all have different shapes. Some are forked like a snake's tongue. Others have a little heart, others have knives, even kitchen tools, such as frying pans, and ladles.
One more persons sits a the front of the bus they are separated by dividers as well but I can’t see them properly I lean to get a closer look at that singular person without warning the bus rumbles and my vision blurs And I feel like I can't see him for some reason. But I could sense they're there, Oh well he might not be important to me anyways
Next to me are a bunch of mundane people like me except everyone here is asleep. Looking down, I seem to be in a very strange school uniform. its loose fitting The shoes are tied on properly and fit well. The tie hangs lazily across my chest. pants only a little ruffled. I have several deep pockets that look like holsters And a platinum pyramid pin on my chest.
Some of them have uniforms just like me, and the others are in more robe attire with symbols that are representing a royal-looking shield on fire. There are others who are wearing more raggedy robes, flayed and cut, and miserable looks on their faces, they look so malnourished that I can hardly tell if they zombies or people. hoods down revealing a brand with a number attached to their thin necks.
Where the hell am I? I audibly question It feels like I'm in some type of horror-fantasy game. I can't necessarily tell if any of these people are within the realm of reason I hear a chuckle, not what I would like to hear but its a start if they can understand meGod damn it I hope its not trouble. I turn to my left to see a starry-eyed fairytale princess-like girl with thin lips, a relativity petite physique, blond pig tails, wearing a flaming shield cloak she sits there smirking at me before turning her gaze out the window.
Peeved I call to her mustering all the restraint to not run a train of expletives out of my throat and into her eardrums I shout over the boisterous laughter “Hey, you know what's going on?”
She responds and the second her words leaver her mouth, the sound of the laughter stops and its just the sound of her voice and for some reason the sound of rolling waves outside. “My bad. It's just seeing a lost puppy like you is.. somewhat comforting. Reminds me that I'm not at the bottom of the food chain, Lost and confused.”
“Food chain? I have no idea what were talking about here, I was just in my room a second ago and some guys attacked me.” I complain but I’m hoping to get some answers “Oh, you don't know? They killed you.” She half-laughs as if stating the obvious “Killed?” I question sure I got hit but that doesn’t mean I died “I'm sorry, but I'm still here flesh and blood, so how precisely am I dead are trying to tell me I hit the afterlife.” She yawns “I forgot louts like you can't necessarily see what's going on right now outside. Best to explain is by example try shaking the other guy next to you.” she points to the man next to me
“Fine but if I wake him up your taking the responsibility.” I creep over him wriggling my fingers
She waves me off. “do what you like.”
I shake the other guy in uniform next to me But he doesn't make any responses. In fact, he seems to be dead asleep. I slap him a couple of times, but he doesn't wake up, Strange. He's not waking up. I look around him and I realize everyone in uniform is asleep. Except for me.
“Come on, take my seat.” She gets up from her spot on the bus and motions me to come sit in her place Her seat partner also seems to be someone who's in a uniform like me, and she pushes him to the ground so I can get a view outside of the window
“Go ahead and look.” She points with her index finger
Carefully I walk over and What I see is incredible. Chaotic sprawls of multi-colored light what follows is epileptic seizure inducing exploding hues of color coming at a series of instantaneous bursts inside of that color I see wheels of roots churning against one another. The black sky that surrounds the light feels more akin to a thunderous sea of clouds.
I look down to the wheels I can’t see past the colors we ride on craning my neck upward I squint to see large streams of blood spilling down into an infinity without end. Explosive lightning rips across the blood and my vision yet I still follow those streams of blood just as I feel I cannot gaze any further at the infinity of red I have an inexplicable and insatiable urge to look back to the the heavens.
I snap my head to heavens and I see in front of me multiple giant blue eyes, leaking large rivers of blood. streaming upward into the infinite darkness without end. In their multitude they stretch across this cloudy lightning filled, dark space, increasing in intensity with each passing moment, filling me with an incredible nausea the lighting frying my brain the darkness eating away at my body.
I drop to the ground my sight filled to the brim with endless bloody retinas leaking red into my mind. I go to scream but my mouth is covered by some unknown force I gag over and over thrashing trying to get free.
