Chapter 80:

Chapter 80 – When Brothers Break

The Hero Who Shouldn’t Exist

The chamber echoed with every clash—steel screaming, shadow snarling.

Kael’s chains lashed out, ripping through marble, while Serin’s sanctified blade cut them apart with blinding precision.

Neither spoke at first. Words would only shatter what fragile thread remained between them. But every strike was a sentence, every parry a declaration.

Serin’s silence carried conviction: I end this for the world.
Kael’s silence carried rage: I exist, no matter what the world believes.

Aria’s cries broke against the Council’s barrier, her fists bloodied from pounding on the ward. “Stop this! You’re tearing yourselves apart!”

Kael’s breath came ragged, shadows coiling tighter, hungrier. “Serin… is this really you? Or just the chains they forged around your will?”

Serin’s blade pressed against Kael’s guard, eyes gleaming with sorrow. “Does it matter? The moment you were erased, the moment you became this… I knew one of us wouldn’t leave alive.”

The floor shattered beneath them as Kael unleashed a storm of Tsuyoi runes, black fire spiraling upward. The chamber’s light warped, ceiling vanishing into a void of unending night.

The Council panicked. “He’s bending the law itself—contain him!”

But Serin pressed forward, blade glowing like the last star in a dying sky. “Then come, Kael. Let us finish what fate denied.”

Their next collision was no duel.

It was the breaking of worlds.
