Chapter 11:
Re:Admin
The mood in the trailer hung heavy, a real sense of something waiting to be found. They were more than just a team; they were a family, made strong by facing the unknown together. Now, they were set to see what was out there.
There was still one problem: how to move. The trailer was a good, safe home, but it wasn't going anywhere. If they wanted to figure out why Admin was here and truly know this world, they needed to travel.
We can't just stay put, Admin said, speaking what everyone felt. We need to find a way to move around, to look around, to see what's here.
But how? Eyrie asked, worry in her voice. The trailer's way too big to move.
Tundra thought hard, her sharp mind working. Maybe we could take it apart and move it piece by piece, building it back up each time we stop.
Admin shook his head. That would take forever, and we'd be in danger while we did it.
Mirai, ever the practical one, said, What if we found some big, strong animal to pull it?
Maybe, Admin said, but finding an animal that's strong enough and that we can trust would be tough.
He started to pace, thinking hard. Then, his eyes lit up. Wait a minute! he said. I think I've got it!
He grabbed his phone, the link to his old life and where he got his strange ideas. Remember the Admin-mobile? he asked, a sly smile on his face.
The others nodded, remembering the heavily armed vehicle he had made before.
What if, Admin said, getting excited, we put the Admin-mobile and the trailer together?
Put them together? Tundra asked, surprised. How would we do that?
I'm not sure yet, Admin said, but I have a feeling. I've made some crazy things with my phone before. Maybe I can turn the Admin-mobile into a moving base. Like… an RV!
He started tapping on his phone, going through menus and options, his fingers moving fast. He spent hours trying things out, his face showing how focused he was.
Mirai, Tundra, and Eyrie watched, unsure but interested, as Admin worked. Finally, after a lot of tries, he yelled in triumph.
I think I've got it! he said, holding up his phone. I've figured out how to make a… well, a 'Mobile Command Center,' I guess.
He told them his plan: use the Admin-mobile as the base, and add the important parts of the trailer—the defenses, the living space, the workshop—to make one vehicle that could move on its own.
It was hard work and took a lot of time. It needed both what his phone could do, old materials they found, and a lot of hard work. But with his friends helping, Admin slowly turned the Admin-mobile into a moving fortress.
When they were done, a great sight stood before them: a big, armored RV, with laser guns, missile launchers, automatic turrets, and a comfortable place to live. It showed how smart Admin was, how well he could use what he had, and how determined he was.
Alright, team, Admin said, looking at their work with satisfaction. Time to go. Let's see what this world has in store!
He took out his phone again, this time using the GPS. Let's see… towns nearby… Ah! There's a kingdom called Arcvon not too far away.
Arcvon? Mirai asked, looking worried. What's it like?
I don't know, Admin said. But there's only one way to find out.
He got into the driver's seat of the Mobile Command Center, started the engine, and smiled at his friends. Kingdom of Arcvon, here we come!
With a loud roar, the Mobile Command Center moved forward, leaving their safe trailer behind and starting a new chance. The road ahead was unknown, but they were ready to face whatever happened, together.
The Mobile Command Center moved along the dirt road, its strong engine eating up the miles. Admin held the steering wheel, looking at the horizon, excited and a little nervous. Mirai sat next to him, watching the world go by.
So, Arcvon, Admin said, breaking the quiet. What can you tell me about it?
Mirai hesitated, a hint of worry on her face. It's… complicated. Arcvon is a kingdom of tall castles and wide fields. They are famous for making armor and weapons.
Admin raised an eyebrow. Sounds… busy.
It is, Mirai said, her voice softer. But it's also known for its… its slaves.
Admin frowned. Slaves? What do you mean?
Arcvon depends a lot on slaves, Mirai said. They capture people from nearby lands and make them work in the fields, mines, and shops.
Admin's face looked grim. That's terrible.
Yes, Mirai said. It is.
So, why are we going there? Admin asked. If it's a kingdom that uses slaves, I don't want anything to do with it.
Admin said Honestly, I just liked the name. I didn't really know what kind of kingdom it was, and I was curious to see it.
Just then, his phone buzzed, showing a lot of information about Arcvon. It agreed with Mirai's description and gave more details about its society, economy, and military strength. The phone also made it clear that Arcvon was well-known for using slave labor.
As they talked about Arcvon, Eyrie, who had been watching the scenery, spoke up. I… I was born in Arcvon, she said quietly.
Admin and Mirai turned to her, surprised.
I don't remember much, Eyrie went on, her voice shaking a little, but… I think my family might still be there.
Admin felt bad. Eyrie, I… I didn't know.
It's okay, Eyrie said, trying to smile. It was a long time ago. But… maybe we can find them. Maybe they're still alive.
Admin reached out and gently squeezed her hand. We will, Eyrie. I promise. We'll find your family.
He looked back at the road, his jaw tight. Arcvon, huh? Well, maybe we can do some good there. Maybe we can help free some of those slaves.
Meanwhile, in the back of the Mobile Command Center, Tundra was exploring. She walked through the living area, looking at the things Admin had put there.
She noticed a strange device on the wall. It was rectangular, with a glowing screen and some buttons. It looked a bit like her own TV head, but it was different.
Curious, Tundra pressed one of the buttons. The screen lit up, showing a moving picture. It was a movie, something Admin had downloaded from his old world.
The movie was called Arrow in the Light, a classic story with brave archers and knights. Tundra, interested by the bright colors and exciting story, sat down to watch.
Eyrie, drawn by the light and sounds, joined her. The two girls sat together, watching the movie, not paying attention to anything else.
Hours passed. The sun began to set, making long shadows. The steady sound of the Mobile Command Center and the interesting movie made Tundra and Eyrie feel peaceful. They cuddled together on the couch, their faces lit by the screen, lost in a world of dreams and stories.
