Chapter 11:
Bangles of power, Warriors of Fate
He soon reached the temple and observed. He noticed the sudden emergence of dogs out of nowhere that were going directly into the hall’s basement. To know the truth, he decided to take the form of a dog and follow the dogs.
He went to the basement following the dogs. They were all standing in a single line. He joined the line and saw a strange bald man sitting in the middle, with a big knife in his hand, beheading all the dogs one by one and eating their brains. The dogs were hypnotized; they didn’t know what they were doing.
Inoshida was assured that the person was a wrath as only Zevroth’s blood could show this level of cruelty. Immediately, that wrath stopped his hand in the air and gave a devilish smile.
“Look who is here, a Watsukai. I was waiting for you,” said Wrath while throwing the knife towards Inoshida.
Inoshida jumped, escaped the knife, and turned again into a human.
“Who are you?” Inoshida asked.
“What’s the hurry? Let’s have some fun,” said Wrath.
“No doubt you have the blood of Zevroth. Killing innocents is not a game, you wrath,” Inoshida uttered in rage while taking the form of a giant snake.
“Mamushi Strike - the power of poison,” he said while spitting poison from his mouth.
(Mamushi Strike is a powerful snake poison attack technique, using which the user unleashes poison venom on their enemy, which not only causes physical damage but also mentally torments the enemy.)
As soon as he released the poison, all the dogs rushed to cover the wrath and protect him, and the entire poison fell on them instead, which caused severe harm to the dogs.
Inoshida felt extremely bad seeing the condition of the dogs as they were writhing because of the poison, but at the same time, he felt a surge of anger towards the wrath as he had hypnotized the dogs and was making them do his bidding.
Inoshida realized that he couldn’t take down the wrath as long as the dogs were under his control. To have any chance of success, he would need to break the wrath’s influence to confront him directly.
He took the form of a fly.
Wrath could sense Inoshida but was not able to see him.
“You coward, where are you hiding? Fight me, you stink,” said Wrath.
Inoshida made a weird face as a fly and went behind the wrath, converted back into a human, pulled out a knife from his back, and tried to stab it in Wrath’s heart from behind. But the wrath sensed his presence and turned around to hypnotize Inoshida with his eyes.
The wrath could only hypnotize animals. But Inoshida also shared characteristics of animals just because of his purple bangle.
“Your power turned out to be your weakness, Mister Purple,” said Wrath after hypnotizing Inoshida. “Hahaha, and now let’s end it. Give me your bangle, I wanna see if it glows on my hand or not. If it glows, I’ll be the most powerful wrath. Hahaha, Lord Zevroth will be proud of me when I kill all the Watsukais one by one. Hahaha.” Wrath ordered Inoshida.
Inoshida took his bangle out and was just about to give the bangle to the wrath, but suddenly Shina appeared, shouting out loud, “His name is not Mister Purple!”
