Chapter 58:
Am I losing Interest in Writing?
This is my review of a manga called You and I Are Polar Opposites
"
Did I just spend one week finishing this manga? Yes.
Do I enjoy it? Yes
Do I regret it? Absolutely not.
This manga is like up there with a series called "Asahina Wakaba & Her Chubby-Chubby Boyfriend", I love these two to the core!
How did I find this?
The anime is about to air in Winter 2026. I just had to check it out before it aired.
And welp, I accidentally read it all the way through until I finished the story, and now, I just can't wait for more content from this series.
Appealing
Would you believe me when I said this series started when the main couple was actually going out together? They establish their relationship at the end of the first chapter, where Rent.... could never.
Eh hmm...
Anyway, so yeah! That's the main reason why I got to see this manga.

Review;
Story/plot
Simple romance. A shut-in boy and a high-spirited girl are going out together. No joke! They become lover literally from the start. Though I gotta say, even though the story is about them, the focus of the entire story is not just them. Two other couples get the spotlight. The first is a story of an outgoing guy with a sheepish girl, and the other one is a story of an overthinker boy with a go-with-the-flow kind of girl.
This felt really heartwarming because, as we read through how our MC overcame their relationship, we got to see the other couple make a move with their respective love interest. Kind of too bad that one of them doesn't have a conclusive end with their relationship.
Illustration
The illustration of this manga is not really amazing per se, but it captures how goofy these teenagers are. They are so cute and look like an idiot whenever they do something silly. Even their expressions are unforgettable.
Characters
Charming, hilarious, and relatable. They are just like me fr fr. I don't really have a lot to say because you have to experience it yourself to see how all of them are actually very relatable one way or another.
Proportions of the manga
Always has that nitpick, I'm sorry. I have to say it, man. Every single time this kind of story is set in a school, every single time when the panel is crowded, the author stupidly puts all speech bubbles on top of it, and not only that, but it is also transparent. Look, I get it, okay, we want to see the illustrations, but come on, man, I can read shit if that's how you do it.
Sometimes I really prefer reading things on a long strip format; this problem never occurred in any Manhwa/Komik/Comic on Webtoon that I ever read.
Conclusion;
The good
I'm very excited that it will be animated. Woop woop!
The bad
We have to wait. HAAAIIIYAAAAA
Graditude
