Chapter Seventy Seven: A New King

It was the king’s voice. He was still hiding in the cape.
“HAHAHA!!” he laughed like a villain.
From the direction of the voice, I was able to deduce his location. He was right in front of me.
Just when I moved in, he uncovered himself from the cape. His hands were intact, his skull was also attached to him like nothing happened. Even the ribcage was healed.
This is bad!! 
I knew what I had to do. I had to prevent him from taking hold of his sword no matter what. And to do that, I must end the fight as soon as I can.
Flying towards him, I stopped ten meters and touched ground “Swift turn!” I shifted to the right. 
And before I could rest “Swift turn!” I shifted to the front. Shifting at high speed, I made a square around him. I continued shifting really fast. As I moved around him, his body followed me everywhere. 
Without much movements, he followed me with his eyes and we rotated together. 
What great rotation ability.
But I had expected that. Moving anticlockwise really fast, I used swift return to return to an initial spot. As I did that, he increased the speed of his rotation and met face to face with me just when I touched the spot.
He’s fast!!
I had to keep on trying. Waiting for an opening, I rotated for a long time. His movements followed mine exactly.
It was about time to end it. In a situation where he can copy my movements, I just had to prevent him from sensing them.
“Clear light!” I shot my clear light at him. The light shone very brightly blinding everything in sight.
“Undead cry!!” before the shot could reach him, he cried out an attack.
“KAAA!!” I cried out my eagle wave.
As long as I don’t hear his scream, it wont have any effect on me. The clear light hit his barrier and faded. My eagle wave neutralized his undead cry. He tried it again. I released the same attack again to drown his cries.
When it didn’t work, he stretched out his left hand which has the rings. 
“You leave me no choice………….. King shield.”
King shield? I couldn’t let him summon a shield. It would render the sword I was holding onto useless.
It was now or never. 
Having lowered his guard to summon the shield, I moved in with his huge sword in my hands.
“Clear light!” “Swift turn!” 
I turned until I was behind him. My clear light hadn’t even bounced off his barrier when I touched the ground.
“HIYAAH!!!” I roared dashing in to land the attack!!
Just when my light touched his barrier, the sword was already making its way to his waist. Because of the clear light and brief moment he took to summon his shield, I was a lot faster. He wasn’t able to rotate this time around.
My light met with his shield and began fading. At that moment, I caught a glimpse of a large shield held in his right hand. The shield was black and and shaped like a skull.
That made me increase the speed and strength of my attack.
“Crack!!” his barrier shattered. There was none of his energy left on his sword. I sent all my energy to it for that final attack. Shattering the barrier, the sword was stuck to his backbone instantly.
“Crack!” the bone sounded.
Just like he divided me in two earlier, the sword vibrated fiercely as it penetrated his bone.
His upper half got separated from the lower half. It was too heavy to be blown away. It started falling to the ground slowly. As he tilted, I was able to see the core clearly.
“I got you…………!!??”
I changed the direction of the sword aiming for it when a black object appeared and blocked me out of nowhere.
“.……….!!??” it was the shield. 
With no hands attached to it, the shield floated in the air own its own when it pushed me back heavily.It had a mind of its own. To defend its owner no matter what. It pushed me back with so much force. I felt myself getting closer to the wall. The huge sword slipped out of my hands from the shock.
I cant let it end like this. Not after coming this far.
“Tentacle swords!!”
Having known the exact location of the core, I summoned my tentacle swords. With his barrier gone from that attack. He had no way to defend himself.
The shield kept on pushing without a moment’s rest. There wasn’t enough time for me to pull away. 
Just a few meters to the wall, the shield instantly stopped. The force continued pushing me to the wall. I crashed with a shattering pain in my bones.
I slid down the wall slowly. The shield stayed in the air without any movements. The rubles in front of me blocked my view a little. They were so piled up I couldn’t see the king’s upper half which should have fallen.
“You are…………. strong…….” were the last words I heard from him.
My tentacle swords were still active. A lot of them pointed downwards where the upper half of the king should be. Then slowly, I raised them up.
Bad-ump!
My heart almost jumped out in surprise. A dark orb was stuck to one of my blades. It had been pierced by my tentacles.
That was why the shield stopped. The fight……….. was over.
“Crack!” the orb shattered.
The shield fell down on the floor making a loud metallic sound.
In my sitting position, I floated my body up in the air. Just when I did, the bones of the king exploded.
The explosion didn’t reach me. It stopped at the center where the floor has quaked. After the dust and smoke cleared, all that was left was the cape, a stone and two rings. The sword I dropped was there were it fell. The shield didn’t disappear as well. There were too many loots for me to take.
I picked up all my loots. All of them disappeared in my hands once I touched them. I absorbed them just like all the loots so far.
I had wanted the sword to remain but that didn’t happen. The crazy shield also piqued my interest.
I was left empty with no items to take back. Having absorbed them, their abilities are now open to me. I can use them whenever I want.
But since I defeated the king of undead, what does that make me?“Undead?”
A word I shouldn’t have mentioned. The second I said that, the floor below me moved. A hand pushed out from the ground. It was a hand made of bones only.
The size of the hand was small. Despite the surprise, I wasn’t worried for some reason.
The skeleton pushed out of the ground completely. It was dressed in green armor exactly like the first undead I fought.
I remained silent with all my attention to it.
Without wasting any time, the undead got on its knees and bowed at me.
“My king………………….”
