Chapter 9:

Decision

Effy x Elfy

“HELP! HEEEELLLP!”

Looking at the old woman bound by several ropes made of water, Effy was not sure what to do. Harriette had treated her like… Like… Like she was dirt for all her life. She had so many questions. Her mother… What was she like? Did the head maid… No. Her grandmother. Did she really not know anything about her father? What else had she hidden? Why had she never told her about it? Why did she treat someone… someone like Eric so much better?

“MADAME! HELP!”

Behind them, the owner of this mansion remained kneeling. “This is unbecoming of you as my servant. But as her master, I must beseech you to spare her life, Noble Nymph.”

“Shush, now. Both of you. It’s my wif-… girlfriend’s turn to speak. Your opinions are irrelevant.” Elfy waved another bunch of threatening water snakes through the air.

Suddenly everyone’s attention was on her, and Effy baulked. Trembling, she looked around at the familiar corridor. The painting on the wall with the little nick at the side of its frame and flowers placed on the small table next to a sofa on the side. The carpet that depicted various floral forms and… She knew she was delaying.

“Why?” She exhaled. “Why did you treat me like that?”

Elfy flicked her wrist, and a glob of water exited the hag’s mouth, explaining why she had suddenly become so quiet. But-

“DEMON! HEEEELP! ANYONE! THEY ARE KILLING US! THEY WILL KILL MADAME!”

“And that’s that. I don’t think we will be getting any answers out of this dreg.” Elfy flooded Harriette’s mouth again, shutting it. “So… can I drown her?”

Chewing on her lip, Effy shook her head. “L-let me try something. A-and no killing. We don’t need more trouble. And I know you are doing something to keep the guards away.”

The guilty look on her girlfriend’s face told her what she needed to know. But first, she raised her clenched fist, took a step forward and swung it, hitting the woman’s face.

As expected, it was satisfying – even with the immediate guilt that followed for hitting an old woman. Still, the painful sting lingering on her knuckles was elevating, and the shock on Harriette’s face gave Effy freedom. This supposed ‘grandmother’ had made her life a nightmare for so long… But this act of violence… It gave her power – showed she could fight.

Warmth wrapped around her. Effy hiccuped, swallowing tears as Elfy’s hands wrapped around her. “Please… Can you at least tell me something? Anything…”

“It’s okay to cry,” Elfy whispered, once more removing the water from the hag’s mouth.

Spitting, Harriette stared at the girl who had been beneath her for so long. “I have nothing to say after you assaulted me, you horrid child! Everything was for your sake, and I know nothing of the whore mother that left you behind.”

“...” Now, tears were once more running down her cheeks. Effy took Elfy’s wrists and pulled them tighter around her waist. “So she left me here.”

“I did not lie about that. She was a whore. I have no daughter like that. And I have no granddaughter either. Just a girl that was left in her cradle when her mother ran away.”

Shuddering from the ice in the headmaid’s voice, Effy turned around, sinking into Elfy’s embrace. Even her girlfriend’s chest didn’t distract enough from the hope of finding her family shattering. She could tell. The old woman hadn’t lied.

“It’s okay… You have me. You won’t ever be alone.” Elfy voiced as she gently caressed her crying girl’s back. “I will always be with you.”

“Mhmm…” Effy paused, suddenly feeling hostility radiating from Elfy. She looked up and then behind at the hag. “Did she try to do something?”

“She tried to spit at us. A peak of foolishness to do in front of a water nymph.”

“Don’t… She… Despite how she is…” Effy stopped the threatening water snakes from shooting towards the hag.

“But Effy. She is—”

“I know. I know… So…” Effy hardened her heart, stepping out of the comforting warmth. She turned around and faced her supposed grandmother again. “T-then everything remains the same. We don’t know each other. You are nothing to me. And I am nothing to you. There is no bond that connects us. From now on, only Elfy is my family.”

The head maid’s glare questioned the point of the speech. Now that it had become clear the ‘demon’ wasn’t killing her, she had calmed down.

“So…” Effy breathed in and out. Then another time. She turned around again and stepped past Elfy, who simply supported her with the powerful presence. “So, Madame Sorkos… I-I have a request. Please remove the head maid from your service. This town… This town will not be her home anymore.”

Elfy cocked her head in wonder. “Isn’t that—” She stopped hearing the chokes from the restrained hag. “What got into her?”

“Madame Sorkos… Can you?” Effy was running out of the borrowed confidence Elfy had given her. “Can it be done?”

Before the owner of the house could reply, the head maid’s choking, coughing and gargling grew louder. For a split second, Effy worried her girlfriend had done something to the old crone, but she then noticed Elfy looked baffled about the development.

Harriette’s cheeks ballooned as her face turned tomato red. She glared daggers, blood filling her eyes. Her nostrils flared with anger, her struggle against the water ropes holding her amounting to nothing.

“What is happening?”

Effy watched her tormentor’s expression distort even more before addressing Elfy’s question. “S-she is angry.” She understated just how much the request had infuriated the head maid. “Madame Sorkos… can you?”

“N-”

The rage-filled scream was silenced as soon as it happened, not allowing Harriette to defile their ears even more. Meanwhile, the Madame nodded, putting her hands on the ground to show even more deterrence.

“Of course…”

“D-don’t hurt her. J-just let her live her life out like that. Alone…”

                                                                                 ******

“Alone…”

That single word carried so much raw emotion it made Elfy’s soul tremble with the need to comfort her wife. She tightened her grasp on Effy, glad they were now united.

This wasn’t the first time she had heard Effy put these emotions in her voice. Back when she had just listened, her future wife often spoke of loneliness. For Effy, that was the worst fate. It was what she feared the most, and she condemned this old bag of bones to it… This was the cruellest thing her wife could imagine.

But it wasn’t the cruellest thing she could imagine. Elfy would leave the terrible hag alive. For now. She would, however, plant seeds in her lungs that would make her terribly sick, as they would slowly flood her innards. It would be a slow process and take years… unless the hag remained near this place. Then she would die soon…

Satisfied with the punishment on her part and not wanting to linger around this ‘Madame’ just in case her jealousy made her do something terrible to the descendant of another nymph, Elfy picked up Effy, squeezing her wife between her bountiful chest, and carried her away.

As they stepped out of the mansion and breathed in the fresh air, Elfy asked another important question. “Where do you want to go?” She controlled her nature-given power and released the shackles she had kept around the hag.

When there was no answer, she looked down, finding her wife curiously quiet. Effy’s face was covered in Elfy’s chest. She felt her wife’s breath and how hot it was.

Truly, Sitry was wise to suggest big breasts. They served as a perfect distraction now that her wife needed it. And it also made…

“D-don’t say anything!”

“I wasn’t going to—” Elfy responded to the muffled accusation. “-Talk about how wet it makes you.”

“AAAAAA!”

Luckily, this embarrassment-filled screech was also muffled by the ample flesh swallowing the sound.

Satisfied by the effect her body had on her wife, Elfy moved, her feet barely touching the ground as she allowed water to form beneath them and carry her forward.

As Effy hadn’t answered and was currently too shy to peek out of her refuge, Elfy decided to bring her wife to the one palace they had shared so many moments in. And after, she would maybe show the place she had slept in. It was but a cave for her, however…

Once they entered the forest between the town of Heila and the bridge, Elfy felt Sitry’s presence find her. She allowed the forest nymph to approach and gave her friend a victorious smile.

“A success?” Sitry observed, leaves and moss fluttering around her.

The unexpected voice aroused Effy from her trance. The girl struggled to leave the embrace she was enjoying, mostly just because she was reluctant to miss a moment between Elfy’s breasts, and glared at the newcomer.

“An interesting human.” Sitry floated around them, her demeanour portraying ‌endless amusement.

When her friend floated closer, Effy hissed, and Elfy knew she had to leave. Sitry could be mischievous, and she didn’t want her wife to feel jealousy just because of a badly timed joke.

“Interesting indeed.” Elfy agreed. “She is mine, and I am hers. You can’t have her.”

Hearing that, Effy vanished back between the gigantic breasts while Sitry giggled, floating away, leaving a whisper just for Elfy’s ears.

“Come and talk to me after you two settle in.”

Not willing to satisfy her friend’s curiosity, Elfy ignored her, quickening her pace and soon stepping out from the treeline at the serene river that had been her home for so long.

“We are here.” She let Effy slide out of her arms and stand on her own feet. “Have you calmed down?”

Blinking, Effy slowly spun around, drinking in the sight and air, letting her flush lessen. “Y-yes? We are back…” She extended her hand, placing it on the stone railing. Her eyes travelled over the river flowing beneath them as she listened. “Something is missing… It doesn’t sound the same.”

Joining her wife at her side, Elfy wrapped her hand around the girl’s shoulders. “Of course. I am now next to you. Talking. Breathing. Touching.” She placed a gentle kiss on her wife’s cheek. “Loving you. Giving myself to you in a way I couldn’t otherwise.”

Effy’s face remained melancholic as she gazed down at the foam forming around the stones where the water rushed past them. “It feels strange… I-I mean… I love it! It’s just… How many years I spent standing here and talking to the river. I never thought… I mean… It is strange? Am I strange? This all feels strange!”

Not letting her wife panic, Elfy kissed Effy again, their identical faces touching. She brushed the tip of her nose against Effy’s, joining their lips together.

“Mm…”

There was no resistance. Elfy pushed herself closer to her wife, her emotions running higher and the need for a deeper, more physical connection. And when their tongues touched…

Effy suddenly stopped the kiss, leaning back and looking at the sky before returning her gaze to Elfy’s face. “T-this all is happening so fast… Just this morning…”

“We can stop—”

“No.”

Surprised by the staunch refusal, Elfy tilted her head. “No?”

“We are not stopping. You can feel it anyway, right? You can tell.”

The slipperiness between Effy’s legs had indeed been increasing as they touched. Elfy felt it intimately. However, she also knew human minds were-

“We are continuing.” Effy insisted, placing her hands on Elfy’s hips. “We. Are. Continuing.”

“Huh?” The sensation of the greedy touch sent shudders through her body. Elfy was the aggressive one in the relationship, right? So why did she feel like she was about to be devoured?

“You are driving me crazy. I need you. We are doing it.”

Opening her mouth and then closing it, Elfy stopped all reasoning. If her wife said she needs to fuck, then they were fucking.

“Come, then. I will make you forget everything else.” She promised, wrapping several water tentacles around Effy’s waist and lifting her wife up in the air.

It was time to bring her spouse to her cave. Literally.
