Chapter 4:

PLEASE, WAVE ME GOODBYE

STARDUST: To the moon and back

Because Lua didn't have many things, the preparations had gone quite quickly. She hugged those she had managed to make friends with during the 7 days: Mrs. Suki from the tattoo section, Mrs. Mara, to whom she returned the scarf, and Mr. Fort, who was crying the most. Lua caressed him a little and then turned to Abraham. She looked straight into the eyes of the man she felt she adored. She hadn't had enough time to spend with him. It hurts, but her heart could only convey respect and care for him.

"Come back every time you feel your adapter has problems. You know where to find the workshop." Abraham took a few steps forward towards her and embraced her with his whole body. "Don't go to anyone else, Lua! I'll take care of you." he whispered.

His hug was sincere and she knew he had looked at her fondly while she had been in his care. Could 7 days completely change someone's heart? Who knows? But the two of them cared for each other without saying much about it.

"I hope you're ready. We'll be taking off in a few moments!" Honoré said these words as he passed them.

Lua looked at this man who had interrupted her warmest embrace. She knew she had to follow him. She simply didn't want to. Her place was in her safe workshop, with those she saw when she opened her eyes. She didn't remember who she was, but she was someone with them and for the time being - it was enough.

She finally mustered up the courage to walk towards the launch pad. She walked on it looking mostly at the people she left behind, than forward, at the huge expensive space ship. She noticed how those she called strangers, then friends, were waving at her right now.

Only he didn't move, he just looked at her. She was getting on the ship with her eyes still fixed on him. She misses this man so much already. Seeing how he stood still, Lua shouted: “Mr. Abraham Stone, thank you for everything! I promise to make it or come back here! Please wait for me! I'll buy you that expensive equipment! I'll be back soon!"

Her words defied the authority of the Livé family, who owned such equipment and had made it inaccessible for a reason in mind. Honoré was disgusted by these words, but decided to ignore them for the moment. Abraham, on the other hand, was surprised by this girl for a second time today.

"Mister Abraham, please, wave me goodbye! This way I`ll know we`ll see you again soon!" the girl shouted.

His eyes moistened and he raised his arm to wave. “Maybe you will remember”, he prayed.

The door closed and the spaceship began the countdown to takeoff.
