Chapter 42:

The Collision of Strength Continues

Blades of the Shattered Chaplets: 3rd Novel

Isamu: “M-M-Mich-i-iaki, you’ll p-pay for touching H-Hir-ro!”

Michiaki: Completely lost your mind? I get it. Bring it on!”

Isamu: “World of White!”

Michiaki: “World of White!”

They worlds combined.

Isamu used every chaplet possible to create barriers around the outside of the walls with hundreds if not thousands of Smile Chaplets, Rose Chaplets, Earth Chaplets, and Luxflare Chaplets. It was a mass of overwhelming abilities. ‘This is what Astro meant when he said this man could destroy the 9 Worlds of Protrations.’

Michiaki: “Morlin’s Protection: Fairies of All Mighty!”

Thousands of spirit fairies surrounded the area inside and outside the walls, breaking down the barriers that held them within. Michiaki knew exactly what Isamu was going to do. He would trap him inside with no way out and break through his own World of White on purpose.

The fairies whispered everywhere, which created what seemed like a forest of birds that chirped when the sun rose in the sky.

Michiaki finally decided to pull down his moon from the sky, not having used it in years. He couldn’t let this man continuously use legendary chaplets over and over again. Even he may not be able to counter all of them along with his techniques used from the Copy Chaplet.

A giant beam of light rained down ten times larger than any of the other Great Swordsmen’s moons. Its light shined down in a golden aura more dense and light than anything in the world. It was gracious, but terrifying.

He chanted out, “Bound by starlight and forgotten time, those that illuminate the world ablaze, heed my voice across the void, tear your tether from the sky, let gravity weep and shatter its knowledge…Lunar Descent!”

His body lit up all golden, but unlike the others, his features remained. His outfit shone through the golden light, but its effects were unbelievably strong. His sword was the only thing that lit up completely gold, getting rid of the colors and designs that were originally on it for the time being.

Michiaki: “Round 2, Isamu. This is where you’ll meet your end.”

Isamu foamed at the mouth, eager to destroy this man.

Isamu: “I’ll kill you, and every last human in these worlds. Nothing will be left and creatures will finally roam free…King’s Wraining Wrath!”

Michiaki pulled out a white chaplet with wings and a swirling smoke around the edges. A Reflector Chaplet…Another legendary chaplet that he owned and one that did not have to break to be activated. It bounced his opponent’s ability back at them, forcing them to defend against their own attacks. The flying swords flung back at Isamu, which all bolted right past him before he sent out another wave.

Michiaki grabbed one of the shadowy swords out of the sky this time, bouncing around and evading the others before using a Render Chaplet on it, concealing it, and throwing it off to the side where it curved along the ground, going after Isamu’s left leg.

It was supposed to completely seal it off, but Isamu grabbed it midair and snapped it in half before unleashing an ability that shook the ground. Dark light came shooting out in rays, forcing Michiaki to move, but all he did was lift his leg and took one big step forward, stomping the ground, and clearing all the darkness into the sky.

With his witch powers, he had the abilities of the Nightshape Chaplet, and used Isamu’s Wraining Wrath to send swords at him in all directions, however before they hit him, Michiaki activated a Crystal Chaplet on purpose, pulling him into a crystal domain.

Before Isamu could break anything, Michiaki gathered every crystal possible and threw it at him in less than 3 seconds, then released the Crystal Chaplet, unveiling the swords and crystals that now targeted him and were going to hit in less than half a second.

Isamu snapped his fingers, and all of the swords and crystals broke into pieces right before both of their eyes. At this point, Isamu had moved every animal to a different domain during this entire fight to ensure that nothing would get hurt. Hiro, the snow dragon, and the horse were the only ones that remained behind him at all times, but the horse still had its back towards them fast asleep, like nothing was happening.

Michiaki: “You sure are a tough nut to crack.”

Isamu: “M-M-Michiaki!!”

Still enraged from when he hurt Hiro, Isamu did not stop putting pressure on Michiaki. Ocean Waves ravaged towards him, ice pillars shot in all directions, and shadows pursued his every movement. Michiaki hadn’t broken a sweat, nor did he use any chaplets at all to get out of the way. He barely had used his sword’s abilities either.

Simply, he avoided everything from his natural talent before mimicking every single ability right back at Isamu who did the same thing, snapping his fingers and getting rid of the attacks. Michiaki realized that mimicking his abilities was not working. It was almost like the Copy Chaplet in a sense, but if the user ran out of sight, then its effects did not work. However, in this case, Michiaki owned it as a witch. Usually, witches only had control of 3 chaplets at birth, but Michiaki controlled many…A feature that he never revealed to anyone how many he controlled.

The entire time, Michiaki was letting his moon charge up more and more throughout his body until it was forged with his soul. Now was the time he was ready to go. He pointed his sword at Isamu and he was so quick that nobody could’ve predicted his speed. He was past Isamu before he could even close 1/100th of his eyelids. It was faster than using every type of chaplet involving speed or any sword that granted quickness.

Cuts appeared all over Isamu’s body, deep cuts that even showed bone. He used a Healing Chaplet on himself and a Recovery Chaplet on his broken ribcage.

Michiaki: “You unknowingly moved within that fraction of a time. You didn’t even know you did it, that’s why I missed your head. Don’t worry, I won’t miss you again. Pretty impressive though.”

Isamu activated a Dreadcore Chaplet, Fool’s Judgement Chaplet, Crux Chaplet, Demise Chaplet, Copy Chaplet, Acinium Chaplet, and a Reflector Chaplet all at once while screaming in the air before Michiaki could make a move with his speed. All of these were considered high ranking chaplets that Michiaki would have a hard time against.

He easily broke out of the Dreadcore Chaplet and Fool’s Judgement Chaplet. “I have nothing to fear or hide,” he said as he charged forward with his ability.

The Reflector Chaplet took effect, swinging the moon’s powers back at Michiaki, which he clashed with evenly. Avoiding his own powers was not as easy as Isamu made it look. Isamu charged at him, now lit up in the same color as Michaiki.

He pressed against his sword, dragging him across the ground as the Crux Chaplet activated and rocks, meteors, comets, stars, and constellations rained down from the sky at a fast pace, striking the ground where they stood.

Isamu vanished right before it hit as Michiaki looked up at the approaching materials. Isamu laughed seeing the dust fly up and the ground completely obliterated along with the castle. Water flooded into the field, but Isamu just laughed believing that he had killed Michiaki, until the water started to gather and headed right for his body. He held out of hand and moved the water far into the sky near the sun.

Michiaki: “Do that again and I might get pissed. A bunch of legendary chaplets thrown at me at once? I’m assuming you used that Acinium Chaplet to cancel out my moon. I got some bad news for you. That’s not going to work. The best shot you got is to keep using that Copy Chaplet until one of us runs out of mana. That Demise Chaplet was a good idea, but unlucky for you, I have fairy heritage plus I’m getting some help from the Ruler of the Spirit Realm. Let’s see who’s going to last longer? Shouldn’t be too long now.”

A blue beam of light rained down from the sky, flashing next to Michaiki. Arata Sanji appeared ready to help.

Arata: “A pleasure to meet you, Michiaki Sen.”

Michiaki: “Ah, I’ve heard of you. Arata Sanji? I hear you're quite strong going around helping those in need. Although we do not technically see eye to eye on that, I commend you for trying to do something that I choose to run away from. I wish we had your talent in the Titan War, but if I recall, you weren’t that strong yet to match a Great Swordsman.”

Arata: “I choose the path that my brother tried to fight for. It’s certainly not easy.”

Michiaki: “Is that so? I can see the mental strain on your mana core just from the constant pursuit of helping others. Are you sure you're up for this? This man is currently as strong as me. If you’re put in danger, I’m not protecting you.”

Arata: “Lucky me. I get to test my strength against the best Swordsman in the world. If I didn’t come here and you lost, then this world would be shattered. I can’t have that, not yet. I haven’t given my all. If the world is going to fall, then I don’t want to regret not trying hard enough for my brother.”

Michiaki peered into his soul, sensing something strange. His brother’s soul was combined with his own. Not only did his mana transfer over to him, but Arata’s mana boosted off of emotion…Something he hadn’t seen ever. His will and feelings for his brother was so strong. ‘What a remarkable thing to have,’ he thought. ‘Even with kids, I cannot boost my mana out of love. Although, he’s gambling with his soul. His brother’s core doesn’t look solid. If that breaks, he’ll probably lose his mind. Someone else is going to have to clean up the mess. After this fight, I’m going back home.’

Michiaki: “Look at me for a second.”

Arata: “Huh? What?”

Michiaki: “Okay, you have a Nightshape Chaplet and Chrono Chaplet on you. It’s the only way you’re going to be able to help. Read the movements of the future up to 3 seconds and follow what I’m doing. Find the blind spots. Use the Nightshape Chaplet to copy my moon ability. Ezra’s also helping you. Try not to get hit by any other chaplets. This man is avoiding my hits even though I can see what is is going to do 3 seconds into the future. I can’t help you…Whoops, we’ve been talking for too long.”

The ground lit up underneath their feet with black streaks of light. Pillars of ice emerged as well. They jumped out of the way. Michiaki was in control of the water surrounding them with chaplets. At any time he could disperse them and flood the area, but it didn’t really help against this man. Streaks of shadows targeted both of them at a rapid pace. If they entered their bodies, then Isamu would break their bones and then their mana core.

Arata: “Halo’s Infinity!”

Light blue rings circled everybody’s body in the area, pulsing and not releasing. Isamu tried waving them away, but couldn’t.

Arata: “Oh, you like that? You are going to be able to get rid of that. It links right to the pillars of the island. It will drain your mana and cut the power of all your chaplets in half while it boosts mine and Michiaki’s. Let’s get this over with. You’re not going to be the one that destroys the world my brother tried to save!”

Miachiaki: “Nice. I can already feel it taking effect.”

Arata: “Hyperlink Drive!”

The floor coated itself in light blue mana followed by a Manipulator Chaplet thrown by Arata. Extremely thin lines emerged from the ground and pierced Isamu all over. He couldn’t avoid so many mana lines. Arata twisted them inside his body, but Isamu stood there without any pain. The moon’s effects were still as powerful as ever even with it cut in half.

Michiaki crossed swords with him, eventually ending in a stalemate. Arata read the movements of the Chrono Chaplet and appeared behind Isamu. Swinging his sword at his torso, he could see that Isamu was going to turn around and break his sword in half. Instead, he threw down 5 Rose Chaplets to try and protect himself.

Isamu kicked the barriers without a problem and drove his foot right into Arata’s stomach, sending him flying across the land, which was now a crater because of the Crux Chaplet.

Michiaki came from above, swinging his sword down, but having the same abilities, he couldn’t get through to him. Arata came flying in with a Levitation Chaplet and grabbed Isamu’s body as hard as he could, ripping into his eyes. He sent him flying again with an elbow to the face, but it was all part of his plan. Michiaki swept below to the other side of his body, revealing an invisible sword that Ren had left in the ground before he was kicked. He used a Render Chaplet right before. Michiaki grabbed it as the sword lit up with gold mana, and stabbed Isamu right in the heart and twisted the blade, piercing even the moon’s armor with the help of Michiaki’s incredible strength.

Michiaki: “I’ll see you in hell.”

Isamu coughed up massive amounts of blood.

Michiaki made sure he couldn’t use any Recovery or Healing Chaplets. He threw him to the ground and stepped on his heart combined with the blade and his own mythical blade, which spread blue mana lines directly to his veins, which poisoned him and made him freeze in place.

Arata: “See, you just needed a little help to make it go quicker. Bastard got me good. If I was the one fighting him, then I wouldn’t have stood a chance. He was barely affected by anything I did.”

Michiaki: “Isamu. Do you have any last words before you descend somewhere beyond this world? Maybe Ezra will be nice enough to take you.”

Isamu: “Y-You. You t-think this is e-enough to stop me? You should’ve cut my head off when you had the chance…Volden’s Phantom of the Great Devourer!”

Michiaki knew he messed up.

In this fight, he shouldn’t have even let this man have a second of time to do anything. He tried to respect the rules of Swordsmanship, and it led to his failure. Immense black mana bolted out of his body in a shadowy light. The symbols for “Death” ran all across the mana that engulfed the entire area quickly. Arata got pushed back immediately and stabbed by the shadowy mana. It was everywhere. Even Michiaki could not do anything about it. He broke an Acinium Chaplet, but it did nothing. “World of White!” World of White did nothing either since Michiaki only obtained a fraction of its power. Nothing would work against Isamu at this point. He was completely invincible…
