Chapter Eighty Six: True Strength

The barrier over the sacred land had been lifted to allow passage to both guards, knights and heroes alike. On the highest point of the sacred land where the huge castle laid, strong fighters from all races were surrounding it.
My revival was complete. I was like a new born baby when I left the dungeon through the hole in the super thick black wall. It returned to how it was originally when I exited it. Not even the blood which stained my skin remained on me.
In my hand was a rare type of stone. It was the darkest among all the dropped items I’ve acquired. It was the strangest of them all as well. Unlike what I’ve ever experienced before, this was a talking stone. It has fine edges and is oval shaped just the size of my fist.
It gave me several commands and told me to take it in my hand.Having regained all of my strength and stamina, I made myself invisible using my cloak and flew to the sacred land. Just being invisible isn’t enough. They must have set several traps all over since they are expecting me.
I saw just how heavily guarded the sacred land was flying above it. It seems to have been a few hours since I hid in the dungeon. The night was dark. The sacred land was lit using magic. I could see all their movements from above.
The big monster that chased after me earlier was right at the castle’s golden entrance. There didn’t seem to be signs of the heroes. They must be inside protecting the king.
“BAAAM!!” Despite my invisibility powerful magical attacks made their way to me from the ground. A loud alarming sound echoed all over.
I flew hundreds of meters above the sacred land but they still found me. Their attacks included explosions from fire magic users, boulders were thrown by earth users and so forth.
I couldn’t afford to waste any more time than I already have. I flew upwards full speed until I was thousands of feet in the sky. Breathing became harder for me. I stayed in that altitude looking down at the castle. Their attacks could no longer reach me. They disappeared hundreds of feet below me.
It was my first time seeing all of it. It was very vast with several compartments and domes. That wasn’t my concern at the moment. I looked around for the biggest dome I could find. Lust told me that the king’s hearing chamber is the biggest. It is also the main hall used for meetings with the nobles.
“Found it……….”
My goal isn’t to confront the heroes or the nobles. It was to confront the king himself.
“Freezer drop……” I applied all my weight to my foot and started going down with speed. I planned on stomping the dome to make my way inside the hall.
The more altitude I lost, the faster I dropped. I was like a meteorite falling from the sky. The air split up from the base of my feet. Red flames surrounded me. The fall was too powerful.
To those on the grounds, it would probably look to them as though I was a meteorite leaving red flames on its path. All attacks got deflected before they could reach me. Strong waves of energy protected me.
Two hundred feet to the dome I was aiming at, the summoned monster from before frenzied jumping on the buildings until it made its way towards me. It planned on blocking my path.
I didn’t even flinch. I continued going with that speed and “BWRAA!!” it screamed from pain.
It refused to move away reaching its arms for me. I fell right on its body and passed through its chest like it was air. It was an instant defeat. I didn’t even look back to see how it scattered.
That was when huge magic circles of different colors appeared one after the other blocking me from my set destination.
They were so big, each one covered the whole area around the castle. Several magicians erected a single one of them. Each group below me was responsible for at least one barrier.
I destroyed the monster with my fall not because he was a monster but because of the power behind my fall. The restriction on fighting the races alone wouldn’t have stopped my fall. As such, even if people were serving as barriers to stop me…………… “I still wouldn’t be stopped!!!”
“SPINNING DRIIILL!!” the fall was strong enough to shatter their barriers on its own. But the force of the fall will reduce each time I shatter a barrier. Combining the fall and the spinning drill. Not even the demon queen could stop me.
The sacred land became so bright as if it was day. The energy from my ‘Meteorite fall’ was just like the sun’s.
My spinning gave rise to a powerful tornado with me in the middle. It was like a tornado of flames. The fighters on the ground were carried by the strong wind even before I landed.
“CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!” one by one, I passed through their barriers shattering them like glass. It all happened instantly. I destroyed them all at the same time.
That was when I faced their final line of defense. It was the barrier made by the heroes together. Right on the dome, it appeared. Unlike the other ones that were just the thickness of plates, this one was like a cube. It had four sides and was thick.
My meteorite fall made contact with their barrier immediately after destroying the weaker ones “CR…..AC…..K” it was like drilling a diamond. It felt incredibly tough and heavy as I passed through it. It cracked slowly the deeper inside the barrier I got. “Crack!!” It made a loud sound shattering in the air.
My fall and spinning were greatly reduced by their barrier. That was what I was going for. 
There are two kinds of barriers. Barriers which prevent entry and barriers which stop attacks. So far, I’ve penetrated the first barriers like they were nothing. But just like how tough I found the king’s barrier when I fought him, the defense barriers are hard for me to destroy.
Everything proceeded just like I calculated. Had it not been for the barriers that reduced my fall, I would have destroyed the whole castle. I couldn’t afford to do that when Leila and Meila are inside. If I had just flown to the dome on my own, even the weak barriers would have been able to stop me or at least give me a hard time. I was reduced to the speed which I would have if it hadn’t been for the fall. That alone was good enough to penetrate the dome.
I landed on the dome “BAAM!” destroying it whole. That way, my landing in the hall will be controlled. The heroes should protect the people inside from the debris.
I touched the hall’s floor with both feet at the same time. The debris were still falling when I heard a grunt “What’s this!!??” the female hero with the summoning ability screamed. She was being held tightly in strong looking black chains.
I stood right in the middle of the large gold painted hall. It was over a hundred square feet wide. The nobles inside all seemed to have moved away in time. They stood by the walls opposite to each other as though they were prepared for this.I was surprised seeing the situation after I landed. All the five heroes were being held with chains. I didn’t realize it but the king shield was right above me. 
Without moving a single finger, the shied reacted in time even before the debris fell. It seems the heroes were in positions waiting to attack me the minute I entered the hall. My shield reacted in that short instance without my knowing and caught all of them.
It was bigger and darker than I knew it to be. At four meters wide, it formed a roofing over my head. The strangest thing of all was the mask that appeared on it from below. It looked exactly like the mask of that demon I defeated. The dark thick chains came out from the hole in the mask.
It was definitely the king shield. But this one had been upgraded to become bigger and more powerful. With the mask on it, it almost seemed as if the demon combined with the shield.
With my attention on the shield, concerning loud voices called out “Run!!” “They are going to kill you!!” they were Meila and Leila.
Several meters in front of me. They were made to kneel below the staircase leading to the king’s throne. The king, a human man in his early forties was seated angrily. The girls were restricted with Metallic cuffs and two knights to their sides.
“Damn you!! what’s this!!” “Where did these chains come from!!” the heroes were on their knees forming a circle around me. They lost all their strength almost instantly.
Rataradun had his eyes glued to me “I remember these chains from back then………… when we were clearing the dungeon……. the undead king had chains like these. But they weren’t nearly this strong……… what are you!? I felt guilty for attacking you that day! I even tried to offer my help when you needed it. Now you show your true colors!!??”
I ignored his rampant words when I started moving towards the king. The hall was immediately filled with chatter. Among the nobles, I saw  Liek’s master. Modnoc. He had his arms crossed while leaning on the wall. It seemed like all the nobles have been gathered. The noble I punched was the closest to the king. He was away from the walls just a few meters from the girls and the king.
“Stop right there!!” everyone yelled. Despite their protest, no one seemed to be willing to take on the job.
I thought that the hall will be filled with fighters, but it seems only the five heroes were left to protect the king. My new shield followed me with every step I took. The heroes got dragged along by the chains. Their bodies were too weak to move. All their strengths have been sucked out.
The girls both turned staring at me. Their faces showed the ultimate surprise. They looked as though thinking “Is it really him?”
I stopped at the base of the stairs staring right into the king’s eyes. He had a thick beard with a golden crown on his head.
“Leila, Meila………… I’ve come to save you.”
