Is it trespassing if the owner likes us?

"What do you want, you trespassers?" The eternal fire dragon says laying down in front of his cave entrance.

"We want you to join us. Did you forget our conversation yesterday." Pearl flies up to his face.

"Oh I remember." He replies gently shooing her away.

"Then why are you surprised?" Pearl asks.

He sighs. "I could see one of you being a baby. Yet here you all are. Babies."

"Who you calling a baby!?" Sheldon snarls.

"We aren't that young!" Pearl also fights back.

"Would you please define what a baby is?" Olive asks politely. Everyone looks at Olive then to the fire dragon.

The fire dragon looks at her with a  questionable gaze. "Anyone under 100 years old is a baby." He responds.

"I would be dead of old age around 100!" I retort.

"My life span is only around 100 years also." Olive replies. "So I will agree with you that we all may be young but I will not agree with us being babies."

Dang Olive. She is holding her ground.

"You seem to be the oldest of the bunch." The fire dragon eyes her down.

"Probably not." She claims. "I've also heard you should never ask a lady her age."

"Nice try. That only works on humans you young'n." He chuckles. "Now get off my mountain before I fling the boy off the side again."

"I'm sorry we have gotten off on the wrong foot." I say stepping forward. I bow my head to the large dragon hoping he doesn't start flinging me. "My name is Ragon. I was brought to this world due to an accident of a misspelling. The kids that summoned me seemed to be kind. The older sister of the summoner healed me the moment I got to this world. Then she more or less kidnapped me, took me to her place that was more of a murder shack on a mountain. Inside the place was filled with books and was a mess from her reading all the time. She did say she went out and healed the land since she is a descendent of the kingdom. The name escapes my memory at the moment."

"So a girl is involved." The fire dragon raises a brow.

"I said the same thing." Pearl says from the top of his head.

How does she move that fast?

"It's not like that!" I shout.

Pearl and the fire dragon exchange a glance.

"As I was saying." I continue with my explanation. "I wanted nothing to do with this place. I desperately wanted to go home. Sonja though showed me her resilience of living off the land and even had magic to show me parts of my world. The only reason I got lost from them was because I was running from giant rats. That's when I found Sheldon. I saw what Gilton and Tundra did to her home and the village nearby. I vowed that day to take Gilton down. Yes he may be old and powerful but I can not stand by while he wrecks havoc on everyone in this land. He did something similar to the other three here too. I will do what ever it takes to bring him down." Tears well in my eyes from anger. My fists are clenched and lightly shaking as adrenaline ramps up in my veins.

The fire dragon eyes me down for a long while.

"Alright." He says.

"You'll join us?!" Pearl bounds in the air for joy before he could finish.

"No." He says. Pearl stops with her mouth gaping. The fire dragon uses the tip of his claw to shut her mouth. "Show me how you all fight. I'm the only dragon left that can go up against Tundra and come out alive. If you can get me to move from where I lay, I will join you."

"You're on!" Pearl shouts. "Charge!" 

Pearl smacks him right in the face with her body. She tries scratching and gnawing on him. He is barely phased by her presence.

Olive has her front claws together and is concentrating. Her face turns to a pained look. Gasping she looks to me. "I can't find any water under us."

"Good thing I can make water!" Sheldon shouts. She does some fast foot work and fires off rounds of water at him. They hit his face, neck and body, he looks more irritated than anything. He is now dripping with water on top of that.

Dre rams into the fire dragons shoulder pushing as hard as he can. He tries over and over then the fire dragons shoulder moves, outward to push Dre back onto his hocks. Dre shakes his head to get orientated. The fire dragon sighs a long sigh.

I walk forward to stand in front of him, dropping glory stick on the ground between us. "I will not fight you. I want you to be my ally. I have no powers but I still want to train beside you. If you will let me."

The fire dragon ponders on that for a little while. Then a burst of something resonates from him, I only felt it as it passed through me. Pearl falls from the big dragon's face while the others stagger and fall to their sides. I run and barely catch Pearl in time.

"What is going on?" I ask. 

"What did you do?!" I demand from him.

The ground rumbles and the ground beneath the fire dragon moves. I step back as the ground crumbles and churns moving the dragon a meter to his left.

"There. Now you have to join us." Says a voice from above the cave. "Don't worry Ragon. This guy just put them to sleep by throwing their bodies into shock."

"Maddie!?" I shout up at the green dragon.

"What is an eternal earth dragon doing here? And a young one at that." The eternal fire dragon says slowly getting up.

"Nothing much. Just keeping an eye on these rambunctious teens." Maddie says getting down from her ledge. She sprawls out beside me. "Scratches please."

"Is Sonja nearby?" I ask scratching the green dragon.

"No, I'm acting on my own. Keeping the bigger, meaner creatures away from you all since everyone here lacks fighting experience. The drake has some intimidation if he would stop prancing around." Maddie states.

"So you're part of this ragtag group." The fire dragon looks Maddie and the other dragons over.

"I am. My master Sonja would be upset if anything happens to this kid. She will flip when I tell her he is the one Guy prophesied about helping this land." Maddie explains further.

"The one." The eternal fire dragon mumbles to himself.

"So you were following us this whole time?" I ask skeptically.

"Yea... At first it started out me being too shy to ask for scratches then you made a friend. Then some more friends. At that point it would have been just plain awkward if I came out of hiding." Says Maddie.

I'm not sure what to say to Maddie. Maybe a thank you for keeping watch over us? But she was low-key stalking us. 

"Alright kid." Says the fire dragon.

I turn to face him again and he taps his claw to my forehead.

"The spell should be taking effect." He says.

I start to fade in and out of consciousness. I barely make out the words between him and Maddie.

"Are you good keeping watch over them for a little while longer?" Says the fire dragon.

"I will keep them safe." Maddie replies.
