Chapter 1: Realization

Thiurate's shuttle takes off as he heads for the surface. The transport is silent the entire way, and as they reach the surface, the flat-terrained world is empty except for Assonian forces.

Within minutes, USOF transports reach the world. Anti-air cannons rip the skies, lighting the night and killing most of those assaulting, but Dreius slips through and lands.

"Thiurate, I-I challenge you to a duel to the death for the Assonian throne!" Dreius yells, sounding furious.

Thiurate's guards step forward, but Thiurate stops them and says, "I accept, Dreius."

Nights everywhere step back — a common sign of respect in both cultures.
