Chapter 0:

Prologue - An endless Hillside

I Refuse to be bored in another world

Laying on my back, grass tickles my body as it sways with no wind. Balls of light float all around, but they do not fall or rise, as if they had found their place.

I sit up, glancing around to my surroundings. I can’t note anything, this land is a sprawling hill that seems to span endlessly. I’m not where I once was, but my body feels no different, only my mind is afflicted by this alien space.

Standing with my arms outstretched, getting the full embrace of the dead air. There is no temperature, no sunlight, and no sense of inertia. A lone tree stands on this hill towards its peak.

I crest the hill, but I feel no fascination from it, only curiosity to my intrigue.

Standing below the tree, my instincts tell me it is not unusual, but without memories to reference I am unsure.

“You have died.”

A feminine voice states from the other side of the trunk. I peak around to see a lone girl with long red hair sitting against its base, comfortable in her positioning.

“Am I here to be led to the afterlife?” I asked, knowing now my suspicion was correct.

The girl went silent. Her head perked ever so slightly to my monotone voice.

I feel a weird itch in response.

“You are not surprised?” She asked, facing me now but still comfortably sat.

“I remember my death. I feel no need to be surprised.”

Her eyes widen. She finally stands, her height reaching my chin. She turns away, staring at the various lights surrounding us, as if in doubt to my situation.

She cracks a smile.

“Then... We better find you a world to be reborn into.”
