Chapter 18:
Bangles of power, Warriors of Fate
Itiwah came out of her house.
A green-and-black sports bike with huge wheels and attractive body was standing outside. She put her helmet on and sat on the electric vehicle just behind it , whispering "one day I'll own this bike".
By the time she reached the scene, the plant had already created havoc. It had eaten many people; the streets were full of blood.
Itiwah arrived and shouted, “Venus, I know this is you. Don't harm people — I beg you.”
The plant looked at her, grabbed another person, and ate them in front of Itiwah’s eyes.
“I guess this will not work. The only option left is to kill it,” she said with wet eyes.
She closed her palm, twisted her wrist, and raised her hand as if throwing something into the air, uttering, “Moonmoss seeds — the power of nature.”
(Moonmoss seeds are basically small, silvery-blue seeds from a silvery lichen called Moonmoss, which are harmless and lull people into peaceful sleep when released into the air.)
She threw the seeds into the air, and within seconds people fell asleep so no one would know what had happened there. She uttered, “Venomous thorny vines — the power of nature,” and all the plant’s hands and legs were captured by the thorny vines.
But it was easy for the plant to break the vines. Itiwah realized its power.“How can I find its heart to attack, as half of its body is plant and half is human?” she said to herself.
She thought of attacking the left side of its body at the place where humans have their heart.
She transformed her hand into a big thorn and ran toward the plant. The plant hit her and threw her away with its hand. She stood up and tried again to attack its heart. After several attempts, she finally poked the chest area of the plant, assuming its heart was there.
But its heart was not there.
