The Puppets

We walked into the city and there we asked who we could meet to talk about Amets. One person said that the person we would have to talk to is not here right now and that we should enjoy the town first. Me and John thought it might be a nice change of pace and walked through the beautiful town where we sat down for coffee. I was in shock “Wait, there is coffee here” I said out loud. John asked “Did you have coffee in your world too?”, I answered with excitement yes. We waited for hours and hours but nothing was happening, so we booked ourselves into an inn to sleep and rest for a new chance at meeting with this so-called person. Then I fell asleep

During my dream I heard God warning me “Matthew wake up NOW! There are assassins in your room!!!” And so I flung up from my bed and drew the Sword of the Spirit and there were two shadowy figures in our room. They both had knives and were clearly trying to kill us. I shouted at them “Who are you!?” But before I had a chance to interrogate them they escaped through the window. John was completely lost about what had just happened. I explained to him that we were just attacked by assassins. “We are a hundred percent right that there is something wrong here" John stated. We kept guard during the whole night and slept in turns.

In the morning we immediately went to the house of the leader of Izadi who was apparently the person we were waiting for and asked to meet with him. The gates to the house opened and we went in. We walked through a large mansion with a lot of art. When we finally got to the room of the leader he was standing looking out of the window and said to us “You have brought chaos to our peaceful nation, why are you here and who are you?”. We looked at each other and were lost about why he said that, but I answered him and said “I am Matthew, and this is my companion John. We are here to ask for your nation's help in bringing down the remaining 4 dark knights”. He was confused and asked “What do you mean 4 dark knights, you're not suggesting one of them is dead do you hah”. I immediately said“That is exactly what I meant. I am Matthew the knight of God and we defeated Amets a week ago”. He went silent and shouted “GUARDS, ARREST THEM FOR BLASPHEMY”. The

guards burst into the room and we were forced to run. We smashed through the windows and ran away from the city. We didn't know what was happening.

We felt it again in the forest, the weird feeling of being watched and then we saw one, a fairy. We both took defensive stands. But it ran away, it was completely different from the ghosts. We started to think and put two and two together pretty quickly. We realized that in Izadi there are fairies in hiding, the leader doesn’t care about the risk of the dark knights and tried to arrest us when we identified our selves, there were assassins, a nonguarded border and the only one of the dark knights Esmerelda the Fairy Queen was somewhere in hiding.

“Why would a nation want to help a dark knight?” I asked John. We were both stumped. “I don't know, but we need to investigate this thoroughly,” John said. We started planning our course of action. John very quickly put our goals together and said “Our goals are simple we need to: one find and defeat Esmerelda as quick as possible, two find out who this leader of Izadi is and why his nation is sheltering Esmerelda and three prepare for battle that we will have to face.”

We started by searching for anything in the forests, but we found nothing. We searched and searched but all we found was more forest. No sign of fairies or anything else that would be suspicious. We decided to make a hidden camp inside of a large tree stump which was hollow on the inside. We had a new headquarters with sleeping spots and a very scuffed toilet.

John decided to go investigate the city by going in without any armor or a sword. Before he left John said “I will find something that will help us in our investigation”. And then he left back for the city of Berezi.

I decided to wander the forest looking for clues and then suddenly I felt a strange feeling like something was sneaking up on me. I waited till the presence got close and then I drew the Sword of the Spirit and pointed it at whatever it was that was sneaking up on me. It was a teenage boy quite young holding a small knife. He asked “Are you after me as well? Are you also a puppet?”. I was so lost. What puppet is he talking about? I told him “I am Matthew and God has sent me here to help”. He asked me, “How can I trust you?”, but before I could answer two assassins jumped behind him and before they could do anything, I hit one of them in the stomach which ended up in the assassin passing out and the other assassin's blade I blocked, who then ran away.

I asked the boy “Are you fine?. He answered and asked “Yes I am, who are you really”. I said to him “We don’t have time to stand around, let’s go to our hideout”. And so I took the boy and the passed out assassin back with me to our headquarters.

When we came back to our Headquarters I tied up the assassin and asked the boy what his name was, “Errukia” he said. I asked Errukia why there are assassins after him and he said something very strange. “I am the last one that isn’t a puppet unlike that person over there, I don’t know why but it is like everyone in Izadi has no free will”. I was shocked I didn’t know what to say to him, so I asked him “Can I pray for you and Izadi?” and he said sure.

“Dear heavenly Father, please protect these people of Izadi who are under the influence of a great evil, and show your great mercy unto them and show them the way out of this darkness, in your mighty name I pray Amen.”

And then the assassin woke up shocked and asked “Where am I? What is happening?”
