Chapter 23:
Bangles of power, Warriors of Fate
Hijoto ran towards the forest and closed his eyes, using his wind power, which allowed him to feel the surrounding air. This helped him detect who was around him, no matter how far they were or what objects were present, as everything was in contact with the air.
He felt the presence of an old man a short distance away.
He opened his eyes and ran towards the old man very quickly.
As he approached, he saw that the old man was sitting on a chair with a large piano in front of him. His back was towards Hijoto.
“Turn around, you wrath,” Hijoto commanded.
But before he could reach him, the old man pressed all the piano keys at once, creating a massive sound effect.
The sound was so powerful that Hijoto was thrown a great distance away. However, he used his water power to create a water bed and landed on it, cushioning his fall.
He realized that he had been thrown far away and needed to reach the old man by any means. So he uttered, “Ocean waves – the power of blue,” and created waves on the forest floor.
He surfed on these waves, moving rapidly towards the old man, and the waves carried him to the back of the old man. As the waves vanished behind him, the boy jumped off and landed in front of the old man, near the piano.
The old man’s gaze fell on the glowing blue bangle on Hijoto's hand, and he whispered, “Huh, poor blue-bangle owner, get ready to die.”
