Chapter 62:

Chapter 62 – Reconstruction

I Was Killed After Saving the World… So Now I’m Judging It

In the months that followed, Ren walked with a cane. His body, shattered by the aftermath of the Trinity, could only carry him short distances; dimensional portals were the only reason he could still move freely at all.

And yet, his eyes remained sharp, watching over every corner of the world he had saved.

Yukihana was free at last. Merchants from Cegris arrived daily, the streets blooming with life again. Travelers sampled the hot springs, the cuisine, and the Yuki’s crafts.

During festivals, Ren appeared in public with Yura and Yukina at his side. The people greeted him with reverence and gratitude, though he only offered a tired smile, letting his daughter clasp the hands of the crowd.

Some of the Yuki left their island to travel the continent, opening dojos and schools. The philosophy of Yuri—the cold as discipline, the blade as judgment—spread far beyond the snow.

Meanwhile, Cegris thrived. With Umbra rebuilt and new trade routes linking them to Yukihana, prosperity returned. Even Lumius was reborn under Rin and Emilia’s guidance. The fields bloomed once more, and the god of commerce blessed the city as a symbol of renewal.

Umbra rose too, though more slowly. After centuries of persecution and hunger, demons began to rebuild their villages under Lilith’s leadership. Nothing could change overnight, but for the first time, they could live without fear of the next human raid.

Solmara also faced its fate. After the fall of King Dorian, his eldest daughter, Camelia Luxaris, took the throne. Her first act was to declare a ceasefire with the demon kingdom of Umbra. At last, the war was over.

The Solar Church of Lumina, left in ruins, began a slower rebirth. At its head stood Sakura, acknowledged in dreams by the goddess herself as her spiritual heir. It would not be a church of fire and purging, but one of tempered light, closer to the people.

And so, piece by piece, the nations that had once teetered on the brink of collapse began to heal.

Among Opera’s survivors, Luisina finally fulfilled her father’s dream—to become an artist. She toured Yukihana with her wagon, filling squares and festivals with illusions. Her magic, once meant for deception and war, now brought laughter to children and awe to everyone she met.

Latina, on the other hand, settled at the Adventurers’ Guild in Urus, surrounded by elves. She often visited the Schubert-Sinclairs and became the guild’s first female receptionist. Atilius treated her like a daughter, and Asdreus like a younger sister.

When she eventually had a daughter of her own—never revealing who the father was—the elven family embraced her as one of their own.

And while the world moved toward a new dawn, Ren Sinclair watched quietly from his mansion. Cane in hand, wounds still open, yet filled with a serenity he had never known before.

For the first time in two lives, he had no missions.

Only a family.
