The Afterword

Hello, everyone, it’s TheGrompFather - coming at you with the ending of Flowers Bloomed by a Poisonous Rose at the very end of the contest!

My God, did life get the better of me in places.

Still, I’m very happy to report that I managed to write and complete 2 contest entries this time! Woo! That is what I was aiming for, and I’m super proud of myself for pulling it off!

Honestly, it’s been such a long road writing Flowers Bloomed by a Poisonous Rose and I hope you’ve all enjoyed it. I know it’s a little bit hard to follow at times, but I really wanted to capture the scope of a bigger conflict story, showing just how many players, pieces and places were involved, and how they were all interlinked with Rose at its centre.

This, much like Accidentally Turning a Yuri Game into an Otome One was one that I started writing in a notepad as a little bit of a fun experiment, which quickly developed into a passionate pastime.

At times, I was writing this on the train, between classes I teach, whilst watching movies or shows at home, or even when I was on the Honeyfeed Discord talking to people.

It’s been a delight to write and I’m writing more stories this way in the future.

As for this story itself, I’m quite happy about how well everything came together in the end. There are some things that I wish I’d perhaps developed a little bit more here and there, or some threads that I wasn’t able to resolve this time around, but I do have plans for potentially writing a sequel to this story if there’s enough interest in it.

Don’t worry, I have plans for where this is going.

I wonder, was anyone able to figure out Rose’s identity before I revealed it to you?

If so, I’m super happy.

If not, then I’m a little sad.
