A titan god stood before me—an overwhelming figure wrapped in a killing aura so cold it made the very air shiver. His sheer presence weighed down on reality itself. Eight meters tall, shoulders as wide as fortress gates, his flesh gleamed like living armor, each muscle packed with a terrifying density that screamed invincible.
Every slow, deliberate step he took shook the ground like an earthquake, sending shock waves rippling through the earth and gusts of wind strong enough to carry an elephant.
LV had been taken by Mitreanreax, but there was no time to think of her. The god’s aura was so crushing that even breathing felt like a crime. My body refused to move, frozen in the face of a predator beyond comprehension.
“We never thought a human could stand against the gods,” he rumbled, his voice like a landslide of iron. “Humanity would have been destroyed long ago if not for you. You are their hero, their savior, and you will be remembered even in the gods’ realm for your bravery. But…” His gaze sharpened into a blade. “…it ends here.”
BADUMP. BADUMP.
My heart thundered against my ribs. My throat locked. I couldn’t speak, couldn’t even think—only feel the terror creeping through my veins.
{Infinity!!!}
Mind’s voice cut through the fear like a spark in endless night.
{Move! Get away from him! Don’t let him touch you!!}
Her urgency snapped me out of the trance. Without realizing it, my feet began to move backward, each step dragging my soul away from the abyss.
But the titan followed—slowly, steadily, like doom itself.
{In your current state, if he lays a hand on you, it’s over! He doesn’t have the speed to chase if you run. Go—now!}
I kept retreating, Mind’s warnings echoing inside my skull.
“You’ve shown no fear to any god you’ve fought until now,” the giant mocked, his icy voice vibrating in my bones. “Why start now? Humanity will be wiped out regardless. Do you want to die a coward?”
“C-cowardly?” My trembling lips finally found words. “Attacking an opponent after a battle—that’s what I call cowardly!”
Rage burned away my fear, if only for a heartbeat. He’s just another god. If I give up now, it’s over for all of us.
{Don’t… don’t think like that,} Mind urged. {You can fight another day, but right now—you can’t win.}
I clenched my fists. His body looked harder than diamond, his fists the size of my chest. I couldn’t sense any speed from him, but his strength… it was suffocating.
“I had to stop Light,” the god said calmly. “Had I not, he would have destroyed the world in his true form.”
HAH… HAH…
No choice. If I fall here, humanity falls with me.
I turned to run—
—only for a sudden wave of killing intent to slam into me like a mountain, rooting me to the spot.
The god’s shadow engulfed me as he closed the distance.
“Content!”
His roar split the air as he hurled a single vibrating punch.
BOOOOM!
The world inverted. My body shot downward like a meteor, smashing through layers of earth until I hit the core of the world.
“Urrgh!”
Agony tore through me. My right arm hung broken, blood streaming from my ears.
I’m going to die. I can’t die!
“Re-summon!”
Desperation drove me to reverse-summon, yanking myself to a distant mountain outside City 1.
BAAAAAAM!!
Another invisible strike obliterated the entire forty-meter mountain the moment I landed, reducing it to dust.
“Urrgh!!”
Where—? Where is he?!
I scanned wildly. No trace of the titan. Then the truth sank in like ice.
{Infinity… it’s too late,} Mind whispered grimly. {His attacks will reach you wherever you flee. It was over the instant he touched you.}
His power… attacks that land without a medium.
“No…” I gasped. “…it’s not over yet.”
I tried to climb from the crater but collapsed, my body barely obeying. The vibrations of his strikes rattled through my bones, numbing thought itself.
“Uwaaah!” I coughed blood, struggling to rise. My legs wobbled like broken pillars.
THUD.
I fell again. Was this it? Is this how I die?
BAAAAAAM!
“GYAAAAHHH!!”
Another quake of pain crushed me deeper into the earth.
“Zi… Zinertia… coat!”
Summoning the last of my will, I wrapped my battered body in a thin shield of Zinertia. Blood streamed from every wound as my brain vibrated inside my skull.
Fight… I have to fight. I won’t lose. I can’t lose.
Tears burned my eyes as I forced myself upward.
With a desperate surge, I reverse-summoned into the sky—
—and froze.
An unseen force seized me like a giant’s grip, crushing through my Zinertia coating.
“It… didn’t work?”
BAAAAAAM!
The next impact hurled me back underground like a rag doll.
This power… My mind raced through strategies. The answer clicked—a deadly realization.
A four-meter radius.
I had to stay within four meters of him. Only then could I avoid the mediumless strikes. But that meant… face-to-face combat.
If I must die, then let it be a death with meaning. Let me at least graze him.
I summoned every shred of resolve and reverse-summoned back to my original battlefield, collapsing on the ground a mere three meters from where he stood.
My limbs refused to move.
“I see you’ve decided to face me,” the god said, his voice a cold rumble.
He hadn’t moved an inch.
I have to… at least touch him.
“This is it!!”
He advanced, each step sending shockwaves through the air.
“Reverse summon!”
I flung myself three meters above him and unleashed a wave of Zinertia.
“You call this Zinertia?!” he scoffed.
The attack fizzled against his armored body—not even a scratch.
Before I could react, a massive hand clamped onto my leg and whipped me into the ground.
Fight… I must fight!
Pain blazed through my shattered bones, but my will burned hotter.
“AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!”
Summoning every fragment of strength, I lunged, fists flying.
“Super Punch! Super Punch! Super… Punch!”
I struck with broken arms, channeling every ounce of negative energy into each blow.
THUD.
My body finally gave out, crumpling to the ground.
“Is that all?” he asked coldly. He hadn’t moved, hadn’t blocked—he simply endured.
My attacks… nothing.
His next strike would end me.
At least… I touched him.
The earth trembled as he drew back his arm for the final blow.
Humanity… I’m sorry.
---
BADUMP. BADUMP.
A heartbeat. Mine?
Energy. A sudden flow of warmth surged inside me.
Where… am I?
BLINK. BLINK.
Through blurred vision, I saw her.
“Mind…”
She was there—bleeding, trembling, yet somehow standing.
“In… finity… urrgh!” she cried out, her voice breaking.
Blood poured from her eyes, ears, and mouth. Holes gaped in her body, glowing faintly with leaking energy.
“Why…?” I rasped.
{You must survive,} she whispered directly into my mind. {Content is a fearsome opponent, but you must live… even if it means sending me back to heaven.}
A green light flared from her hands, wrapping me in a cocoon of life.
{I’ve always been called weak… a coward among higher gods. But as the God of Minds, my duty is not to fight. Content…}
Her voice wavered as memories spilled into me.
Content—the God of War. Once merely the God of Content, a powerless being who survived through sheer strength. Taken in by the God of Heaven himself, LV’s father, he trained for eons and eventually forged his own terrifying ability:
The power to picture an opponent no matter the realm—and strike their illusion directly.
{Controlling the mind of a higher god isn’t easy,} Mind coughed, blood splattering the air. {When you closed your eyes, I froze his brain and dragged you out. Right now he remains frozen, but only barely. My strength is… limited.}
Her body shook violently as she transferred more energy into me.
{I can erect a barrier around you. It will shield you from his attacks even after I’m gone. Use that time to heal. Please… stay strong. I’ve always loved humans. I’ve always wanted to walk among you. And I will not allow them to destroy your world. You are outmatched, outclassed, and outnumbered. But if it’s you… I believe you can win.}
My wounds knitted closed, my body mended—but I still felt weak.
{I know you won’t accept my offer to hide,} she continued faintly. {If you must fight… then fight with everything you are.}
Her trembling lips lowered to mine.
SMOOCH.
A final kiss—soft, warm, fleeting. Then her form dissolved into a blue light.
A storm of power exploded inside me.
“AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!”
My body roared with unimaginable energy—dark, boundless, infinite.
Mind… she gave me everything.
The earth quaked. I reverse-summoned back within four meters of Content.
“How… how is this possible?” he rumbled, a flicker of doubt in his eyes. “You should be dead!”
Standing tall, I glared into his abyssal gaze. “For all the sadness you caused, for all the terror, the destruction, and the countless lives you gods stole—you’ll pay. I’ll make you PAY!”
“You’ll make me? A human?!” he bellowed, fury shaking the heavens.
“With the power bestowed upon me by LV, with humanity at my back, and with the gift of Mind’s final sacrifice…” I raised my hand, energy coiling around me like a black sun. “…I call upon a new power! A power unrivaled. A power to save humanity. A power to make me complete. I call upon… FUTURE!”
“Nonsense!! As if a human could—”
“With the rage of Hinata’s death, my hatred for Mitreanreax, and my unbreakable will to surpass the gods…” My voice thundered like creation itself. “I call upon a new kind of Zinertia. Zinertia to rival the God of Heaven himself. I call upon… MYNERTIA!!”
A surge of black Zinertia erupted from my left hand, forming a silent, shimmering sword of absolute darkness.
“It can’t be… impossible!!” Content’s eyes widened in terror, his iron composure cracking.
“Fake god…” I stepped forward, my aura slicing the air. “…let’s end this.”
“That’s MY line!!”
He charged, each movement a cataclysm.
Calmly, I moved with him—dodging a left hook, a right hook, a headbutt, a shoulder blow, a crushing kick—every attack read before it even began.
“Is that all you have?” My voice cut through his roars. “With my ability to see the future, your attacks are meaningless.”
“How…?!” His face contorted in disbelief.
“Let this be a lesson to all fake gods! Stay away from humanity!!”
I blurred forward, speed rivaling Light himself.
SLASH!
The black blade of Mynertia carved through his colossal frame like a knife through silk.
“AAAAARRRGGHHHHH!!!”
“This shouldn’t be… happening…!!”
Before he could finish his words, I ducked low, leapt skyward, and delivered a devastating super uppercut, hurling his massive body into the clouds.
“FAKE GOD… BEGONE!!!”
LINGERING DEATH SLASH!!
I unleashed a storm of black slashes, carving through flesh, armor, and divine essence until nothing remained but silence and fading light.
His final roar echoed faintly as he dissolved.
“YOU’LL NEVE—…!!!!”
“Infinity… OVERLOAD.”
The sky trembled. The earth held its breath.
Humanity will never be the same again.Life will never be the same again.And the gods… will never be the same again.
I raised my sword toward the heavens, voice cutting through the dying winds.
“Heaven… I’m coming.”
