Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ ２１-𝓤𝓷𝔀𝓪𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓭 𝓕𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽

Indigo stood near the pool, watching his reflection, deep in thought. The trio had moved to a spacious room, where they were sure they had enough room to fight. Indigo knew the fight wasn't over. A moderator would never allow things to be over this quickly.

Remembering the stories he was told when he was a little boy, but he never thought they were real, much less that they were after his family. Questioning just how much more of his family they must take away from him.

He can hear Tanya and his aunt talking.

Tanya: “You can bring Shana back, right? Can't you do it right now?”

The older woman frowned and shook her head.

Sherry: “I keep telling you it's more complicated and risky than that. I can't do that while a moderator is after me. I promise I will do all that after we fend them off.”

Indigo: “Autumn escaped the room… I checked. At this time, Flora probably has her sister by her side,” he interrupted her.

Indigo felt his aunt hugging him.

“Awww. You poor thing. Are you afraid of a couple fight?” She coos.

Indigo shook his head.

Indigo: “No… I'm prepared. If she decides to go against me, I'll just kill her, and you can bring her back… can't you?” Sherry looks a bit surprised by his answer but smiles.

“Of course, dear.”

They heard a bunch of footsteps heading towards the room. Facing that way, Indigo wasn't surprised to see their pursuers now in the same room.

Autumn was riding on lion Mochi's back. Kazuyuki was carrying Flora from the back before he placed her down.

Flora: “I-I could have walked myself!” She forces a frown at Kazuyuki.

Kazuyuki: “You are too slow. You have tiny legs.” As he said that, Flora frowned more.

Indigo eyes their reaction, not liking it one bit. It only confirms his suspicion that Flora was working against him, plotting to take the things he loves.

Indigo: “Autumn… even you betrayed me too?”

Autumn: “It's not like that! There is a misunderstanding.”

Indigo: “What is it? All I know is the moderator is after my aunt, and it seems like you guys are helping.“

Autumn pauses.

Autumn: “That's technically true, but… your aunt wants to kill my sister, and he's going to revive everyone—”

Indigo interrupts her.

Indigo: “Except my aunt, right? Honestly… How do you believe a single thing that man says? You do realize these people can manipulate memories like it's nothing? What even is real?”

Autumn fell silent.

Autumn: “Indigo… I don't want to fight you. Please don't do this...”

Indigo makes a bitter smile.

Indigo: “Don't worry… for you, I'll be gentle.” He turns to Tanya.

“Tanya, please let me use you. You want revenge, right? I'll go after Flora for you.”

Tanya nods, kneeling before him.

Tanya: “Yes, master. My life is yours.” Her body turns into water surrounding his hands before it solidifies itself into a trident.

Indigo grips the weapon hard, pointing it at Flora.

Autumn opens her menu and pulls out her whip.

Autumn: “I… can't let you harm my sister… I'm sorry.”

She guides Mochi to run towards Indigo, swinging her whip hard at Indigo. Indigo caught the whip, pulling her whip towards him and thrusting the trident forward. Autumn widened her eyes, feeling that her cheek was bleeding.

Indigo: “Aww… does it hurt? I'm sorry. I'll make sure I won't miss next time,” he says in a gentle, mocking tone. He immediately sensed Mochi was about to bite him and jumped back.

His eyes landed on his aunt, who was facing a battle on her own with Kazuyuki pursuing her.

Flora, on the other hand, was pointing her wand but wasn't casting spells. Knowing her, she probably isn't casting anything to avoid more disaster. Indigo rolls his eyes at that.

Autumn: “This isn't like you at all! I don't get why you are acting so cruelly?”

“Huh?” He turns to her, giving her all his full attention. He then realizes what she means.

Indigo: “Ah… you never saw this side of mine. You're so used to me being sweet. Gentle… It's true, you make me want to be sweet to you. But sometimes your naivety makes me want to put you in your place, to break you a bit. Ah, sorry, forget the last part. I'm just… Angry right now. But once this is over. I'm sure we can make up…”

His trident swings, and a wave of water washes over the duo. Autumn and Mochi fell into the pool.

Tanya: “That was a rather pathetic sight. Master, I think we can go after Flora now.”

Indigo: “Alright. Let's go then.”

Flora cries out and feels the waves push her, hitting the wall. She fell down, gasping for air, as her clothes were now wet.

Indigo looks down at her body. “Breathe… you should be able to do that much with water, right? Reminds me, who wants to be the water mage again? But you haven't even mastered a single spell,” he says mockingly.

Kazuyuki turns around for a second, observing them.

Kazuyuki: “Flora! Don't you dare die before I'm done!”

Flora: “Leave it!… I got it.” She gave him a look to let him know he could proceed.

Bark Bark!

Flora saw Mochi barking and swimming out of the pool to get to her. She pointed the wand weakly at Indigo, making him glare. But then she put down her wand.

Flora looks down.

Flora: “I can't do it… I can't harm my friend… I'm so sorry, Indigo.” Her words make his gaze soften.

He crouches to her level and pats her head. This eases her for a bit, making her think he forgave her. However, this didn't last, as he quickly grabbed her wand and pushed her to the ground, looking at her disappointed.

“Give back my mom's wand!” She cried, reaching for it, but couldn't grasp it as he moved away. She could feel herself on edge again.

Indigo: “You really think saying something like that will make up for anything? That's so naive. So unbefitting of a mage, Flora.” Flora's tears fall freely as she desperately tries to get her wand back.

Flora: “Give it back!” She could feel herself hyperventilating.

“Please! Please!! Stop this!”

Bark Bark!

Mochi, who was now out of the pool, charged at Indigo. At the same time, Flora’s wand was glitching a bit. However, there was too much of a panic for anyone to notice. Just then, Indigo snaps Flora's wand in half.

And suddenly Indigo's menu pops up.

“ What…”
