Chapter 24:
Training a dog from another world shouldn't be this hard
Author's note.
Finally, I finished the first volume for the contest. Not going to lie, I really thought I wouldn't finish, given that I saw the advertisement for the contest a month ago. The due date is so soon, and I only had a day to think of the characters and plot. It was rough. This is my first light novel ever, and I am a bit sad as it had to be rushed, especially near the end. My writing style isn't like this, and I usually prefer to take my time, but I had fun. It was tiring writing every single day, but I truly love creating a world and some characters. It had been a dream of mine to create a novel.
So thank you for this opportunity. That being said, the story is not perfect in my opinion. It's a story I would recommend for those who love dogs or have dogs. And it tackles the message of finding happiness and finding love, and a sense of belonging. I did not have time to flesh everything out, but I am happy with how it turned out. Mochi had become my favorite character over time. And I love having him on screen. I don't put his monologue too much to make him more like a dog. Mochi's personality is based on my 3-year-old pomsky dog, which is why Mochi is less like a Pomeranian at times
I did the writing, and I was happy to have a friend who supports my dream and helps me proofread this story. This story does hold a special place in my heart, even if it is just volume 1. It makes me remember the precious memories I had with my dog and the positive impact it had in my life. I want to thank my friends who helped me this far, and please, if you like this story, do share it with others. I honestly don't expect to win the contest, but it makes me happy that I can share with people the things I created.
UNTIL NEXT TIME~
