Chapter 3:

CHANDRAHASA- A weird name for weapon

Reappearance of the lost ones (RLO)

They slowly walked inside the mansion. The chill inside the mansion struck Raj. But still, the brightly painted walls and the huge pendant light hanging in the middle of the throne hall were a mesmerizing sight for the eye. Every part of the wall was decorated with paintings depicting different demihumans. Many golden sculptures of various gods and goddesses were present by the wall decorated with jewels and at the end of the throne room were two massive thrones designated with an uncountable number of pearls and jewels.

They walked straight up to the throne. Karya asked one of the people standing beside the throne as to where "His Majesty" has gone to. The person replied that he had gone to the meet "Her Majesty" as she was nearing her delivery of the "Young Lord".

'Go, call "His Majesty" immediately' Karya said. The person hesitated to take action. Karya again said with a loud and aggressive expression and the person this time made haste.

'Come with me here for a sec!' he pulled Raj and whispered in his ear to be polite in the presence of the King. Raj nodded. Both of them then waited for the arrival of the King.

After an await of about an hour Raj grew impatient and anxious of his brother. He ferociously stood up and just when he was about to scream to call "His Majesty" someone opened the door.

Hissing sound echoed in the huge and empty throne room. Hearing such an ample echoing Raj turned his eyes to see who had come and he saw a snake!

'What the hell is this?' Raj screamed as he tried to get away from it. He couldn't even view the whole physique of the reptile as it was too big. He tried to lean on something to support his quivering body and fell on his back. Only then he got a full glimpse of the snake. It was the same as Karya with a half-human body. Even though looking at the snake's lower body made one scared and gloomy, its human half was charismatic.

'Is he the King Karya spoke about?' Raj asked himself sensing the charisma.

The half-human, half-snake slowly walked towards Raj took a close look at his face.

'Are you scared of my form?' he asked Raj diligently.

He shook his head slowly. As soon as Raj agreed to his statement the lower half (snake part) of his body emitted a shiny light and slowly took human form. The scales turned into human clothes and the tail turned into a pair of legs. He changed into a regular-sized human from his former form of massive being. Raj was obviously baffled, but even Karya was surprised as very few within the demihuman realm had seen the King in his human form. The king steadily walked towards Raj and grabbed his shoulders to help him get on his foot.

"His Majesty. Thank you for helping me" Raj politely thanked the King.

'Welcome kid!' he returned his thanks with courtesy.

Karya came front after Raj's little conversation and gave the King detailed information on Raj and his brother. He told him to give Raj a sacred weapon that was bestowed to Ravana by Lord Shiva himself, which can utilize Ravana's will to give him power. As listening to what Karya said the King asked him,

'But can he really bend the monster's will as his own and what if the monster's will consumes his will after getting the sacred weapon? We can't control it easily after that.'

Karya hesitated upon hearing those words. 'But his brother is in danger and he doesn't have enough power to fight with those sinister.' Karya told the King.

'We know that and for the very same reason I have planned to send you along with the boy as his aid.' the King replied.

'But if those Ravana's followers find out that one of the demihumans is coming as aid his brother will be in grave danger and we can't afford to lose a life which is completely unrelated in this mess.' Karya told. 'I will take responsibility for any harms that may befall upon us; if Raj gives in to the Ravanas will and even get ready to sacrifice my life to stop Raj in case Ravanas will sway's him.'

Raj felt emotional hearing what Karya said and thought in his mind 'Why is he going to such lengths for my family's sake? I haven't even seen him till now and we don't even have any kind of relationship then Why?'

'No point asking him now after he has done everything for me and my brother's sake maybe I will ask him after all of this is over.' Raj thought to himself and waited for the discussion between the King and Karya to be over. After a while, the debate was over, and Karya successfully persuaded the King to hand over the sacred weapon to Raj.

'Then let's go to our arsenal and I will provide you the sacred weapon.' the King said to Raj.

'Yes, "His Majesty"', Raj responded to the King with honor.

'No need to call me with such regards and honorifics while we are alone. You can use my given name Kiaan.' he replied.

'Sure but it will be awkward for me so can I at least call you Lord Kiaan.' Raj questioned the King.

'Yes, you can.' he replied.

Both Raj and Karya followed the King up to his arsenal which was underground. The arsenal contained many swords, maces and to his surprise, it even contained modern-day weapons like guns and canons. Raj felt as if he had come to some hidden American military base. The arsenal contained every kind of armament from ancient type weaponry up to this date weaponry. At the end of the arsenal room, there was another door. The king walked up to the door and recited some passages.

Raj asked Karya about what the King was reciting and he replied "Mantra, simply spells!"

He was surprised that spells still existed in this day and time. The incantation that the King was reciting finished as the door opened making a shrilling noise. This room was completely different from the previous arsenal room. It contained only ancient weaponry and most of them were rusty and very, very old. Also, all of them were kept in glass showcases. It was like an antique shop rather than an arsenal. As Raj was surveying different kinds of armaments in the room, the King took out a sword from a glass showcase. It was a long sword and near the handle of the sword, it was curved with pointy ends giving it the shape of a crescent moon. A jade was attached to the point where the handle and the blade were connected.

'Here take this sword.' the King threw the sword towards Raj. As soon as, Raj caught the sword it began glowing. It radiated light enough to blind a normal person but luckily, everyone in that room wasn't normal.

'Oh! He really is the host for Ravana's will.' the King said.

'Why are you saying this as you weren't convinced fully that I was a host before catching the sword?' Raj questioned. The light radiating from the sword stopped and slowly all the rusty parts in the sword began disappearing. Within a minute the sword converted from a rusty, old artifact to a shiny blade that seemed sharp enough to cut open a rock.

'Well you see, this sword is called "Chandrahasa". A sacred weapon which we were talking about previously whose owner is Ravana. All the weapons in this room are sacred weapons used by people, gods, or demihumans in ancient times which were directly bestowed upon them by Gods themselves and when they come in contact with their master or their master's will they will turn in their true form immediately. So, as this sword too transformed I am now fully convinced that you are the host for Ravana's will.' the King replied.

'Then, let us begin the preparation to rescue your brother Mister Raj.' the King said with a blaring voice and flowing his hands in the air.
