Chapter 1 breaking fate

The forest was filled with the sounds of life and water until footsteps broke the quiet sounds of nature. Leaping through the brushes and dead logs was a creature in a blue suit and long ears. “Almost there!” He said as the hooded figures got closer. To gain distance, he leapt onto the trees and traversed through them in a zigzag pattern. Though this didn't do much to get them off his trail, it wasn't long before their eyes could be felt on the back of his neck.

Suddenly, fire in the shape of a disk flew at him, causing the tree branch he was stepping on to break, leading him to fall. Seeing this, he leans forward as soon as he gets close to the ground, and then does a flip, continuing to run away from the ominous figures. The second figure then starts spitting out web ahead of him, which he barely avoids. “You'll be ours soon,” one of them said in a feminine voice as it started giggling. “ She's not going to be happy hearing that,” he said to himself. He then started looking around until he saw a clearing. “Yours?, Is that what you think?” He calls out.

When he finally reaches the clearing, he sees a river with one large tree covered in bluish green leaves. “Nowhere to run, little rat,” the other one said with a deep male voice, and barely standing, he smirked, “What are you up to?” One of them asked as it began to look in the tree behind him, out of nowhere, a star hit the hooded figure keeping an eye on him. “How dare you use my voice, traitor!” she said as she continued to blast it repeatedly. “No way, I couldn't sense her presence!” The other showed up from the tree. “Nice work, Hoshino,” he said in a calm tone. He lifted his arm to the sky, and the wind started to pick up in the area. Then it began to howl, “I have to escape!” The one with the deep voice said, "There's no escaping this traitor!” That's when a small tornado started to appear in the palm of his hand; it quickly grew until it was almost as big as the tree. “ Yeah, they're not escaping Setsuki’s tornado palm,” Hoshino said, still breathing heavily. Once the tornado became a glowing green, Setsuki pointed the tornado at the figure in the red cloak. It held on to a rock; “I would die here!” it shouted. That's when Hoshino jumped and kicked his hand, causing it to let go and fall into the tor

Tornado where his body disintegrated.

Setsuki jumps out of the tree and lands on the soft ground, then looks. “Thanks,” he said as he nodded his head. “Anytime, pal,” Hoshino said while giving a thumbs-up. Setsuki then looks towards the girl. ”Mizuki, you should finish it off now”. He said, slightly nervous. Mizuki sucked her teeth. “Oh, fine, your luck I have to end this!” She then placed her hand in its face. “Oh, thank goodness,” it muttered barely, then a pink star appeared in her hand and blasted it, causing it to disintegrate as well. As the three of them grouped, Hoshino took out a device from his pocket, it resembled a grenade, he clicked the button on the to top like a pen and threw it in the forest, the others soon followed, soon the Forest was full of green gas that was glowing, suddenly, two hooded phantoms start expanding and screaming until they faded away. “Purification completed!” Mizuki saluted Hoshino and Setsuki, “good work, everyone."

Setsuki said as he sat on a log, then he placed his hand on his head, the jelly in his head started to jiggle, and his eyes started to glow and yet seemed lifeless. “Team whisper to Base over?” I took a few minutes before responding, “This is base over, what's your status?” Another person's voice escaped his mouth. Setsuki tilts his head upwards. “We have eliminated and purified two Traitors who have been active in the area. Permission to be teleported?” Another few minutes before a response, “permission granted to prepare to teleport in an hour.” Setsuku smiles, “ok, over and out.” he then puts it away. Mizukilooked over at Hoshino,” Any luck on awakaning?" she asked voice full of curiosity." he shakes his seeming discuraged, thats when Setsuki entered the conversation " i was sure it would happen during battle, thats how my awakening happened" he said as he scratched his head, "yeah thats not how it works" she said in a sassy tone causing Setsuki to look down at the ground, hoshino just looked and smerked. that when Setsuki looks over to him and smiled" look, i know its been hard not awaking yet, but you are still a vaualble member of our team" thats when Mizuki put her hand on his sholder" yeah, dont forget you helped impoved the Purification smoke bombs, and risked your life to lore out the traitors!" he grined at both of them "thanks guys", they knoded in aceptence of hin thanks. "hay" Mizuki walkes in front of "How did you learn to kick like that? “ Oh, just practice and skill,” she asked as he started to place his hand on the tree. That's when it happened: his hand slipped through the tree and fell onto the tile floor. The last thing he heard was Mizuki yelling his name.

Hoshino quickly gets up he tries to go back, but it's no good. He placed his hand on his head, and the jelly in his head started to jiggle. “Hoshino to Setsuki over!" Nothing but sloshing of liquid and the echo vibrating. he tried again “Hoshino to Setsuki over!" another round of defining silence "Darn It!" he shouted. he stayed quiet for a moment, he takes a deep breath then exhales " Its like what the Primal oth said" he starts to thing about metalic book" in the face of Peral Adapt! he strike a pose, his hand point to right and bends his knees, after a few mintes he retuned to is nutral position ” Alright, let's assess the situation,” he said onces he opened his eyes, he started to look around, the place sees grand and fancy, endless maze of saphire, the windows show the veiw of an infinite sky and sea. he walks up to the window to smash only to be welcomed with a screem of pain, he covered his ears "well im never doing that again!" he said to herself as he walked away nurseing his ears.

He began to look at his bracelet-like device on his right arm. He clicked on a couple of options until he found what he wanted, "and scan!" he said as he pushed the option. That's when a map of the whole area, it even showed something that looked like a potential exit. "Well, at least is a good start," he said to himself. he clicked two buttons on his metalic backpack realeasing a floating robotic ball with a small wolf mouth and small arms " hi their bud, yap, yap!" she sais in a sweet voice, she looks around "did you get lost, again?" he rolled his eyes and looked away "no, I just fell thoug a tree some how" he starts to scratch his, "sounds like someone with brain damage, yeah” she starts to knod, agreeing with herself "well i dont need you to beleve me since Setsuki and Mizuki saw me fall!" thats wher her ears perked up "She did!" he tjhen smerks as he points at her " thats right, and and if you dont cooperate Frin, neither of us will see her again" She imidiatly saluts him "ok sir" he looks down at the braclett "im sending you the map" he said as he click" she looks at the map for a bit, then looks at Hoshino "was this made by a "lookes like the person who made this had the good brain damage, yep" a snort escaps his nose, afterwards he composes hemself and smiled"now time to record everything" he said to Frin as he started walking " you got it bwoss!" she shouted, a jelly in her stomach started to glow as she started to follow him.

As Hoshino and Frien moved through the halls, the sound of his metallic shoes echoed through the halls." Almost there,” he said to Frien. As he looked around, still following the map, he saw strange murals depicting a group of beings together; they seemed happy at least until a tidal wave seemed to wash them away. Then, in the last image, a child seemed to be crying all by herself. Unfortunately, the rest of the images were barely visible. “I'm sure the doc will be interested in this," he muttered to himself.

As he moved further inward, he noticed the complete difference in the environment; the walls were now pink, had golden images of a starfish and the head of a strange fish creature with a duck bill, There were Dolls strung about the room, a pool that filled the room with the pungent smell of bubblegum, theres also a blue ball in the water moving around as if its been used, looking under the water, he could see a tunnal, he checks the map on his bracelet, "A poolroom with fwuffy stuff, I take it back no brain damage!" she said proudly Hoshino looks at her in confusion, shakes his head and looked bak at the water "thirs also multiple souls in the room, two of them have anomulus propertys, so be very carful" she said "ok" he said while looking" blue dots surounding two “ here We go i guess” he said to himself as he prepared himself, then he jumps in the pool head frist, followed by Fren, he swam towards the hole, it almost resmbles the first hafe of a park, he notices that it was like and endless void, putting this aside in his head he slid down. It only took a few seconds. By the time they got halfway, they were no longer underwater and were completely dry.

"How are we dry, my head hwut" she said as she analyzed herself

Hoshino started to look around. All he could see was a sabuben town with houses that looked like smooth igloos with mailboxes next to them, and the sound of birds could be heard chirping, though no birds could be seen. Streetlights can be seen on every street; that's when he noticed them. People were standing around on the street as if the curcus was in town, thats when he heard ther hums soft yet somber, man woman and child holding hands side by side thats when a small boy walked up to him, he had messy black hair tattered clothing and missing his two front teeth, though he smiled his eyes seemed dead inside " hello beastie" the boy tilted his head "are you tere to be eaten by the great Kainus?" thogh words widened Hoshinos eyes "oh my" Frien said with a voice filled with concern. Hoshino quickly started to look around, some os the people looked dishovled and tired and at the top of the sigh that onced welcomed people said "goodbye world" his stomach was filled with knots hi quickly stumbled twards a woman in a raggidy hoop skirt " Hello" the words barly escaped his mouth. she turned to look at him, she had the same plastic smile and dead eyes "plesure to meet you, fate must have bought you here to join us" she said as she slightly bowed" is this where the great Kainus will apear?" she claped her hands together " of course that's how it was written, so it shalbe" he rushed thought the crowed as fast as he could pushing though thoughs holding hands un til he got to the entrence of the town.

Looking ahead, he saw a road reaching far in the distance; there was a field of grass on both sides, hills, and sparse trees. "Are you sure you can do this?" Frein asked, "Well, I have to do something." he responded, he looked over at the largest hill and ran towards it as he pulled out his phanto gun. he placed his back against the hill, that's when he saw it from a distance. It was a blur at first, but as it got closer, he could see a large dog-like creature with a tail covered in flames. It had white spots on it, a rare and white tuft of hair on its head, and piercing red eyes. The closer it got, the louder the area got; its bark echoed across the field, and each step shook like an earthquake. Hoshino placed his hand on the trigger when it got eighty percent close to the town he fired. The beam smashed into the beam with the force of a truck, knocking it towards one of the hills. Hoshino back begain to push in to the hill, how ever berly "huh? he said to himself, That's when Kainus slowly started to get back up, it then begain tho creep closer and closer, his fear began to show on his face he be gain to move around the hill, then picked up a smok bomb and thew it it hit it in the eye causes it to yelp in pain the smoke started to cover it causing it to yelp harder. Suddenly, it jumped out of the smoke, foaming and seething with rage, and it started to wave its tail at Hoshino like a whip. He jumped out of the way, barely dodging it. That was until it slapped its tail down, stopping Hoshino from firing. His body dug into the ground; his body was in immense pain, but he got up and ran further from the town it chased, "Go, go Hoshino!" Frien yelled, throwing her arms in the air,

he ran as hard as he can, though Kainus's foot steps got closer by the second "its now or never” he said to heimself, he turned around and poiunted his Phanto gun at it, Kainus jumped, its mouth opened showing its large sharp canins, its paws sharp as knives and its eyes full of rage, at that moment Hoshino shot it, hitting Kanus in the mouth, its body started to glow from the inside its eyes no longer filled with rage, but with fear and pain, suddenly it started to disolve away, starting from the head all the way to its tail. Hoshino collapsed to the floor, heavily breathing. "You did it, that was so cool," Frein yelled as she got close. She then paused for a moment, "Wow, you look like dirt," she said softly. He gave her a thumbs-up. Suddenly, some people walked towards him. The woman from earlier walked closest to him. " I-Is it re-really gone?" she whispered. He nodded, then flinched from the pain. Suddenly, all the citizens began to cheer with true joy and laughter, along with tears; some of them began to pick Hoshero up and slowly carried him back to town.
